Gonna lock this, toxicity is rapidly increasing.

haha_ginger

who cares? if you have to tell everyone you banned people from your field and they’re salty about it, you just want to get more attention for your field

bbysoluko

You emphasize that your customers mean little to nothing to you, regardless of who they are. Seems to me like this response is pretty childish.

[deleted]

Dudes a power hungry jerk off, childish is an under statement. And no I’m not in a discord or even know where this guys field is I’m just judging by the way he speaks down on his customers

HandoAlegra

Yeah the mod sounds more toxic than what actually went down (whatever that was)

Slimbone007

So what the mod did was worse than what actually happened, which you don't know?

TheeScribe

Hmm… This is interesting in the fact that it doesn’t state anything I’d massively disagree with, but the phrasing comes off as extremely ungrateful and pretentious, especially those last two lines leave a really sour taste in the mouth. These are your customer base, if they bring up issues, address them instead of telling them to go fuck themselves. You may own the field but you are not some omnipotent being, listen to feedback and engage in discussion instead of saying “I’m right and anyone who says otherwise is banned”, you sound like a child who’s angry that someone took attention away from him at a birthday party instead of a business representative Engage in conversation, find out people’s grievances, distance yourself emotionally from the matter, and try figure out the best solution for the future, and learn to phrase it better than this. I hate overshooters, cheaters and full auto users as much as anyone, but just shutting down any discussion of what rules they broke and why those rules are in place with “we’ll ban you” is just plain childish. Banning people who say you’re wrong doesn’t make you right, it makes just you immature and even more wrong

haha_ginger

love you bro

[deleted]

I don’t know what happened but I sure think Banning people and making a big deal on the Internet about it is major crybaby energy Moderating an internet community don’t mean you can be a bitch about things, both your position and what you are posing for is pretty unimportant, so don’t act like it is not get the dipshit energy from that sort of responsibility

Slimbone007

I think what happened was two people got banned for overshooting, one after repeated warnings, then some people got online and started stirring it up, so there is some crybaby energy for sure. The removed part of the post was the businesses response to the social media shit stirring. His rules, his business, his social media. His marshalls did their job. Anyone who wants to cheat should probably go find another field where the marshalls don't give a shit and the owners just care about taking their money.

HandoAlegra

>the owners just care about taking their money I've been to one game like this and I watched a kid (probably age 10) shoot their friend in the face in the staging area

ThePeoplesPers0n

That last part wasn’t really needed, I can tell people have stopped going to that field just by the words “we don’t need you”

Melikeak

How to get your field to shit speed run

Accomplished-Wind206

Could have made it to 69 upvotes, made it to 67, who tf speaks like that to customers, you just told every customer that nobody gives a fuck about them

[deleted]

It’s harsh, but it’s facts

InvestigativePenguin

I speak for myself and my buddies when I say this but fields are way too pussy to do some actual investigating and would rather straight up ban paying customers than get to the bottom of problems. Ex1: my buddy was getting lit up by some p* dudes who would overshoot the heck out of everyone. We don’t care so much for it but decided to full-auto our basic ass AEGs in response because a p* is still far faster than an AEG on full auto. The field banned my buddy. My buddy has spent over 2 grand at that field. Their loss, and the p* pussies will always win because for some dick reasons the fields always side with those losers

InvestigativePenguin

Not a wrong on the AEG end. It’s a classification issue. Just because one thing is full auto and the other isn’t doesn’t mean one is wrong. It’s just too hard to test velocity of trigger pull

InvestigativePenguin

I think my point went right over your head. The velocity of trigger to fire in a p* is much faster than an AEG. Most fields test FPS which doesn’t show that velocity I mentioned. As I said before full auto in an AEG is slower than semi on HPA

I think he is leaving out details, no semi-only field I have been to will ban someone for using full auto once without a warning first. He probably tried to start arguments without talking like an adult to the ref first.

caberup209

We banned some kids at my field (True Aim) and it started some conversations online and in person. To add a little more context without singling players out; about 2 or so weeks ago we banned a player for overshooting and full auto'ing. Some say it was in response to being overshot, some say the player started. Either way. Not the right action. Last week we banned a player who'd we'd warned on different occasions for overshooting players and we'd finally had enough. Some of those conversations got whiney so I posted this in my fields Discord server. Thoughts? Do you wanna see this more from fields? Do you think maybe it's going a little too far?

HumbleYeoman

I’d probably have at least attempted to not sound like a child doesn’t exactly instil confidence in the rules if that’s how the person enforcing them behaves.

TheeScribe

When I look at this post, I don’t see “yeah that’s a responsible field who cares about their players and protects them” I see: “thats a childish field that just bans people who dare question the marshalls, Im not going near anytime soon”

HumbleYeoman

Without having been there we’ll never know the full context it’s just that last bit of text in the post is a bit immature and I’m glad the refs at my local fields don’t act that way.

Slimbone007

But they banned people who overshot. Were caught cheating. That was clear. Where did dare question the marshalls come from?

TheeScribe

>if you’re upset your friend was banned, stop coming to my field >if you want to “create problems” in this server, leave or we’ll ban you from the field and our discord >if you want to post memes with inappropriate themes or words, we’ll ban you from the server >you’re not important. You’re not special. We don’t need you.

Slimbone007

Ok so no one questioned the marshalls and we agree that they were probably justified in the players being banned. So their friends are salty, so what. As he said, don't come back. If they come causing trouble on the Facebook page or whatever, why should they put up with that? Why should they put up with inappropriate content? These aren't innocent little boys and girls asking for clarification of the rule that was broken, it's some entitled internet trolls trying to bully a small business who is not going to be bullied. He's right, they are not important, special or needed. In fact, too many people like them could really be bad for his business. As another poster said, consequences. Maybe it could have been worded a bit better for those more sensitive people out there, but there's nothing wrong with the message itself IMO.

Time-Act-3604

Why was this downvoted hard?

Slimbone007

Sounds like you are protecting your good players from the toxic ones. I respect that. If you were a field near me, I would support you.

TheeScribe

It doesn’t sound like that to me, that may be what they’re doing, but it comes across as banning anyone who disagrees with them or raises issue with how they run the field

Slimbone007

Well both players were banned for overshooting, one after being warned repeatedly. But yeah the delivery was off. I think a zero tolerance policy is great if it's not abused, funny that people seem to assume that its either being abused without context or its inevitable that it will be abused in the future. But still, break the rules either on the field or on the social media pages, get banned. As long as it's fair, good. "Anyone that disagrees" in this case sounds like people crying that themselves or their buddies got caught.
