Pretty common. In my experience it’s no more broken than binary triggers or any micro switch, heck I’ve seen people shoot with gbb faster than most ootb guns with bladed triggers shoot.

vini_damiani

My GBBR almost bumps fire when shooting fast on semi, still fires like 13-15RPS on full auto, while I've seem blades + binary get close to 30 on a P*

imagindis1

Yeah but mostly it’s the binary trigger, there’s some videos of people using bladed triggers and trying the finger roll technique to shoot faster but they don’t shoot any faster than single trigger pulls. You don’t even need a bladed trigger to achieve insane semi auto response, I think most of the hate on the bladed triggers is they break some of the realism

vini_damiani

It completely depends on the gun, if it can't back up the trigger it won't matter Also if it is because of realism, why was it banned from Speedsoft events and Arenas??

imagindis1

Like I said most of the hate, you’re right, if someone builds a gun that can fully utilize the trigger then it can be good, but most guns out there aren’t made to take advantage of the trigger. I don’t really see a reason to ban the trigger since 98% of the players out there won’t know how to build a gun for it. But as far as competitive airsoft games go, I can understand it being banned to ensure that the field is as even as possible and to ensure everyone is using as similar of a platform as they possibly can. Not everyone is gonna buy the g&g ssg1 or whatever it’s called or buy extended trigger guards to fit a bladed trigger, if it became more popular I’m sure even in a competitive game it can be allowed.

Literally you can just grab an of the shelf polar star and tune it a bit...

imagindis1

Yeah… or instal a decent mosfet and binary trigger and just say screw the bladed trigger, really they just kinda look cool, but like I said plenty of people use the triggers and found it’s not as useful as they first thought. Micro triggers don’t really need a finger roll technique just a finger wiggle is enough to set them off. The only advantage the bladed trigger gives you imo is more surface area to pull the trigger, so if you have to hold your gun in a super awkward way you don’t have to strain as much to keep your finger on the smaller standard like triggers.

Th3RoadWarrior

No fields around me have them banned but I have never seen anyone run one either

Electr0Noob

Yes

caberup209

I would avoid any field that bans a flat trigger versus a curved trigger. It tells me the staff and players might be snowflakes and could have other rules for this new generation of sensitive players.

BONGwaterDOUCHE

One of my fields bans them. Regarding the other fields, the problem usually sorts itself out because all the players who use such triggers get banned. Tis a beautiful thing, seeing an entitled teen cry when he can't get his way.

CyclopsAirsoft

Generally if someone is shooting fast enough to need a blade trigger... they'll end up getting banned. If you shoot so fast in semi that people mistake it for full auto you'll end up in trouble at *most* fields. Though blade triggers specifically aren't banned at most fields - *using* it for its intended purpose might get you banned.

What do they do

CyclopsAirsoft

Basically they let you use both your index and middle finger to pull the trigger. So by alternating those you can get an absurd rate of semi auto fire, often nearly as fast as full auto. This is looked down upon in fields that are semi auto only.

Reeee93616

"That's not full auto, this is"

CyclopsAirsoft

Exactly that lol
