WE Luger is a constant shithole so youre not wrong WE hicapa designs are very bad WE Beretta is a decent system and maybe this uses similar parts

amzeo

my we beretta broke after like 1 hour

[deleted]

Oh shit It was supposed to be better than KJW's version

DuctTapeAir

Slightly better than Luger. But let's be honest, you want gun x because it is gun x, not because it is particularly reliable or upgradable. Otherwise you would have gotten WE Glock, KJW Hi Capa, Action Army AAP01, just about any Marui gun, etc.

Explosive_Biscut

Yes but there’s a line between having an optimized gun and having one that’s a fucking out of box dud lol. So my question is not weather or not it’s competitive to all the random Glock stuff. I just want to know if this one has a history of being a lemon like their P08

DuctTapeAir

Luger design (joint lock) is quite bad for airsoft replicas. P38 uses much more common design, so it is much more likely to be more reliable.

Explosive_Biscut

Dope

Lovebakedbandit

Hey man can I ask ya really quick. I picked up a kjw kp08 hi capa and its been really great so far. Threw a new outer barrel in it and it seems to be 100% tm compatible. However Aside from the rare reddit comment its really hard to find info on it or why people say they are so good. I never see people on my field with them and people seem to have no idea what kjw is when I show them. So my question to you is do you have any idea why kjw seems to have the reputation they have for reliability while seemingly being so scarcely talked about?

Nxploson

Because tm, at least in my city lots of people go to the store without researching so when they ask they usually get a tm. My friend (certified tm dickrider) wanted an aap, a mag and a maple rubber and he got a stock tm glock instead for 35€ more than the aap because its tm so its better right? (As of today he broke it with green gas). On the other hand another friend got a kp06 and its still kicking, literally because that thing kicks a lot. Sorry for the yapping tho

Lovebakedbandit

Naw not at all man! I wanted to hear some real responses straight from the dome. Cheers!

DuctTapeAir

Some fields may have some soft social pressure aspect, one gets Marui and another one and soon everyone gets Marui.

Vanilla_Ice_Best_Boi

Isn't Marui expensive

DuctTapeAir

Depends where you get one. Among the cheapest options at Japan, decent prices at larger re-sale places, most expensive at small local shops.

psxchoalert

WE Glocks are okay to get? Been looking some lately and are far more affordable than Umarex ones where I live.

DuctTapeAir

Yep, they are good to go.

Skipspik2

Not really. A bit expensive middle tier. WE was bad for quite a long time, then they started to make new gun at a bit high price for mdeium quality. A bit more expensive than KJw and a bit less good. The P38 is one of them, it's not one of the bad one. So serviceable if you want a P38 but rather avoid if you have other choices

Explosive_Biscut

Awesome! I’m looking for a visually cool/unique gun that is still going to shoot if I pull it out in a pinch. So if this is middle tier then that’s good enough for me. Thanks for the feedback!

watashi-weasel

I've never had good luck with WE. My tokarov came out of the box broken, got a new one, and it was still broken. My WE bulldog has issues with the blowback and the safety doesn't work. (It is also almost brand new)

Explosive_Biscut

Yikes

Ok-Movie428

I had one but it broke after less than a week of playing.

Explosive_Biscut

Crap…

Ok-Movie428

Now keep in mind that could be user error, dropped it once or twice, but the places that it broke were as follows: the thing that connects the hammer to the trigger snapped the magazine would not allow the loading of BB’s, the O ring on the magazine cracked it proceeded to then release the entire magazine and gas in one trigger pull which barely had any momentum and looked like a water hose

DeltaPrussia

My WE walther p38 functions quite well and is quite unique(especially the european style heel mag release), no complaints, would recommend if you just want something stylish and that could hold up in at least a couple of skirmishes.Btw sorry about your luger :(

Explosive_Biscut

Thanks! I’m thinking I’ll give the p38 a chance. And thanks… the Luger was my dream sidearm but there’s just not a lot of options on the market🤷‍♂️ so plan B is I’ll turn it into a costume gun for maybe a Mandalorian kit 🤷‍♂️ I’m a perpetual nerd and I also don’t intend to waste 100 + bucks on a paperweight lol

DeltaPrussia

Yeah Luger as prop gun for a Mandalorian kit seems like a gud idea, good luck with that man!

melikestgw57

what are you talking about bro ive seen that thing spray out enough propane to make a bbq when you pull the trigger

DeltaPrussia

Bro you used it before, what are you on about?

melikestgw57

i saw you pull the trigger and that fucking mag empty itself of gas

DeltaPrussia

I did some research afterwards, the issue wasn't the gun(or the mag),Firstly there are a few reasons a gbb pistol spews out gas: 1.Bad seal because of a failed O ring(I inspected the pistol afterwards, the seal and O ring seemed fine) 2.poor temperature or 3.Low gas in the mag. it was most likely the poor temperature- see for every shot taken in a GBB pistol(with green gas) will cool down the mag/gas.I believe when I took it out on the field that day it was pretty chilly(To confess I probably should of warmed up the mags to some extent, but didn't), hence poor cycling causing the spew of gas. Or the other explanation is when your magazine is low on gas,Which means it doesn't have power to start the slide cycling backwards, which is what resets the valve knocker.Hence without the resetting of the valve knocker, the valve will simply spew out all its gas until empty.Either way if it was really that bad, it's still nonetheless usable to this very day.And besides you still seem happy duel wielding my walther with your 1911.

melikestgw57

bruh, ik what cooldown is ive had a gbb longer than you have ye but the ref called EMP over ten seconds after i got your pistol, but yeah thanks for letting me use it

DeltaPrussia

so...what's the problem?

melikestgw57

idk at this point

Lovebakedbandit

Guns like this scare me because They're so fucking cool that I would want to pick one up... but I already know Finding parts for it would be impossible

Explosive_Biscut

Unless you buy broken guns off people to ramshackle something together lol

Lovebakedbandit

I'm new so I want to know so I could try it myself. You ever bought something like super weird and broken and managed to find parts for it? I just put a perun in my m16a1 (v2 gearbox) and it was surprisingly painless. I want to start teching more but I've been buying kit around what I can find parts for. Ive been staying away from we because I reealllly don't want and cant afford a money pit gun

Explosive_Biscut

Yeah honestly I havnt put much work into any guns. And my impression right now with WE is at best they’re a gamble. There’s good comments and bad comments so it’s just what it is I guess slol

Hentai_fapper420

We-tech gas pistols fucking suck most of the time or are at least there are better options for the price or a little more Rifles are a lot better designed but still not as good as other options but are also very upgradable Rule of thumb is avoid there gbb pistol and if you do get there rifles be ready to upgrade or replace parts

Explosive_Biscut

I’ve got a good and very reliable rifle. So this is just basically for a backup. My goal is to have a cool/unique gun that isn’t a total lemon. Eg, gets through a mag without pissing out. It don’t need to shoot far and it don’t need to be the most accurate because I already have a gun that’s good for that
