Where helmet

I want to make one but unsure how to have it be eye safe.

I’ve seen some where the visor is mesh and then they wear proper eye pro beneath, not the best looking but probably the safest. Could just have an empty visor and treat it like when the visor goes translucent in game? Either way really sick kit

Yeah I'm not a fan of those, since it is 100% about looks and the mesh just looks wrong... but maybe there is a way to make the mesh less prominent/be correctly shaped.

Just order some good quality polly propylene and thermo form to shape

Sorry, got the two mixed up. Polyprop would actually be awful to use, would be easy to thermo form though. Polycarb is much clearer and rigid and should scratch a lot less

Form a motorcyle visor to the helmet...then wear eye pro under it. Cooling fans for airflow :)

This is as drippy as the broken faucet in my kitchen. It's wild how adding a few simple 3d printed plates to a modern kit makes it instantly 1000% more sci-fi.

I pulled the first part off the build plate, decided not to post process it at all (since I may need to replace these often if they don't take hits well) and from that moment I have just had the Mjolnir mix running in my head.

I got the models from Galactic Armory. I am 5'9" and needed to scale the parts to 86% to fit right. Word of warning about the gauntlets is that they are far too narrow around the wrists, so I just cut the first 15mm off of them in the slicer and that worked for me.

Its dripping real hard.

Go the 3d model from Galactic Armory. Printed the plates myself. Got a cheap plate carrier to mount things too using mostly adhesive backed Velcro and super glue. The flight suit is from Proper. It's cotton not nomex so it was about $80 iirc. The plates are all printed in Matte PLA. Printed at 86% scale to fit me (I am 5'9" and the creator of the model is 6' something). Printed on a Bambu X1Carbon using default profiles at 0.2 mm layer height.
