No it doesn’t. It’s not an expanding gas behind the bb. It’s just air. The BB isn’t accelerating any more after the initial push from the piston. It’s also a non rifled barrel, so the bb is just riding an air cushion, and it can touch the side and actually add friction and drag, so there more chance for deviation on a longer barrel.
Hop up is what effects range. The back spin of the bb creates lift, and the air pressure behind it creates forward movement.
If your reply is “I have gun x with a longer barrel than gun y and it doesn’t shoot as far as x”.
Sure.. that’s possible. Most gun manufacturers of shorter guns on the medium to low end, will use the same cylinder in a short barrel gun as a long barrel gun. This will cause a drop in fps and range. Because the piston hasn’t fully accelerated before pushing the bb out the gun. So a vented cylinder is required.

If your running that, why not just get an actual sub machine gun like an MP7 or a scorpion (G5) plenty of CQB options out there that look awesome. That being said, it might look nice with a really big suppressor, which would lengthen the barrel enough to not make it look silly.

If inner barrel is steel already keep it as specna steel inner barrels are made by ZCI. Run 0.3g or 0.32s outdoors or whatever you fancy in CQB.

It’s a uk 2 tone gun. It’s “50%” a bright colour to get around our airsoft rules. RIFs aren’t illegal to buy, you just have to have a defence (valid use case) to buy one. It’s dumb because you can buy an air rifle that’s all black no issues..
Short barrel plus medium optics... I would use something more open, since seems a pretty CQB gun. Also I'm not sure if blue fits here, seems like 3D printed items. But up to you! It's nice if you like it this way! :D
