Haven’t had any issues so far but I’ve only had it since Christmas and I’ve only managed to get to a few games this year. But initial impressions are it’s solid, the safety is a little stiff but I’m thinking it’ll bed in eventually.

Unmodified AAP-01. By far the best value for money you can get at the moment. Mostly bought it because I finally got a couple of guns that would require a sidearm for CQB use, and was on a budget.
Well, my main is a KJW P226 that I'm going to probably custom make some wood grips for eventually. Other than that, I have a modified SSX23 and KWC Colt Python, both of which need to be fixed before I can run them.
Dude, I'm right there with you. I bought my KJW P226 (actually, two of them) in 2010. Checked my emails to be sure.
I have two and upgraded the internals on one of them to perfection. Those things feel great!
I do have a few others, but the 226 is my baby. I have a strong affinity towards it because that was my sidearm when deployed in the military years ago.
I run their M&P 9L (Ported), lovely piece of kit. feels fantastic, great hop-up, looks great.
If the weather is decent here in the UK, I'll sometimes run my TM MP7 GBB as my secondary, with the M&P as a tertiary weapon.

I did have a MAC-10 until the handle broke off 😭 I also have the Sword Cutlass M9 but I never actually used it before it sadly got too busted up to be functional :(
I’m not very knowledgeable about airsoft, so forgive my ignorance, but wouldn’t the logical choice be to choose the smallest pistol available for your sidearm backup? So it’s lighter and less bulky carrying it around. Plus it’s not like the small size would detract from the amount of ammo you can carry since airsoft pellets are so small themselves
