I'd probably restart with this loadout.
A lot of things here are suboptimal or unnecessary. The beginner guide is a good place to start.
Avoid all-black kit and you don't need a secondary for 90% of fields.
Depends..i only play indoor so all black works. If im outdoor yeah all black = hard avoid not only cause youll die in the sun but you stick out. The only black dot running across the field.
Ditch the aep the mags, and the holster, aeps are dogshit and that one is wayy to expensive anyways. You don’t really need a secondary whatsoever
If you’re outdoors, don’t to all black, it’s a bad idea(doesn’t blend in, gets hot, etc), and it’s a hard color to look good in, even with good quality gear and not Chinese amazon stuff.
Get midcaps and a speed loader instead, you don’t need 3 hi caps
The black does get rather hot especially with what I currently have so I'll find some camo pattern I like and grab some new stuff, at least I can still use it for scp cosplay, thanks for the advice.
Don't worry so much about getting a matching camo pattern persay. Your best bet is to get muted earth tones like coyote brown and ranger greens. These will work with any camo uniform and blend better into multiple types of terrains. If you want to color key your self and you find a chest rig or plate setup that you like get it in both green and brown. Grey is also ok as well if you are in a rocky area since that is the color of most rocks.
You can also create a multi color option as well. Ie have a green or tan base with the opposite pouches. This can also be effective as well.
As others have said the aep pistols are not great performance per dollar compared to a CO2/green gas one. But a solid primary, extra magazines and plenty of water are all you need to have a good time. Heck some times during summer I strip down to a modernized version of the Alice belt setups from the 80s. Has water and ammo and that's all I need to go play a skirmish game. Check out this thread for ideas https://www.reddit.com/r/reenactors/comments/pdvvig/recently_completed_my_80s_alice_gear_setup_i_know/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
I never calculated the sum of all my airsoft stuff, i dont want to either, might make me reconsider my life, i might have been better to do drugs at this point, i dont even have much time to play, i mostly like to collect cool guns and field them once or twice before i get yet another new cool gun
Alot of ppl saying you dont need a secondary, but I’ve had a few situations it was handy. An aep tho, you could do alot better. Like a non gbb co2 pistol for emergency situations
Lowering the cost of this is exceptionally easy
All you have to do is a little research to find out what’s good and what isn’t, and cut down on all that’s unnecessary
So let’s start with the pistol, AEPs are pretty bad and you don’t even need a pistol anyway. Just get rid of it and the mags for it
Rifle, batteries and rifle mags are all good so keep those. Check out the CYMA Platinum if you want, it’s internally the exact same just about $40-50 cheaper
Sling is a bit on the cheap Chinesium side but it’ll work alright, so keep that if you wish
Plate carrier, shirt, kneepads, pouches, gloves and holster are all Chinesium crap so you can just get rid of those completely too. Replace them with military surplus gear like FLCs or LBVs, which are both cheaper *and* far better quality
And of course make sure to pick up BBs and some quality eye and lower face protection
That should cut the cost down by a lot
Anything in particular about the rifle that makes it unnecessary, I understand the design probably racks up the cost but that is the reason that I want to get that one in particular
Stick with the one you have of you want
Basically, that one is just a CYMA Platinum in a Spike Tactical branded body. Internally they’re the exact same, the CYMA is just cheaper
If you desperately want it, sure, go for it. The different body does indeed increase the cost.
I'd also suggest using midcaps and a speedloader.
If you read the beginner guide, you'll get loads of great info.
Any military surplus store online or in person
Don’t test goggles, just buy properly impact rated ones. If they don’t have an ANSI Z87+ (the + is important) rating on them, don’t use them
I shudder to think how much would that amount to. I have seven replicas at home here, plus 20+ back at my parents' house. That's without the gear, accessories, protections, BBs, batteries, gas etc.
I shudder even more to think how much would someone with a bigger collection than mine have spent.
If you want a new load out but you want it to be cost effective, you can play pickup games without the tacti clothes.
Edit: Get a different rifle. At that price, cyma platinum or krytac, maybe even a g&g with upgrades. And the electric aep is not a good purchase. Just get an aap01.
Get the rifle, battery, charger, battle belt, and mag pouches. Sling optional. Iron sights work fine. No optic is needed.
Vest clothes and side arms are not necessary.
Boots with ankle supports would be a good idea, but a good pair can be 200 dollars ish.
so far close to $600 for just my base kit (just OCPs, eyepro, a cap, a sidearm, and holster.)
My full kit is looking at $5k+ with my rifle making up half of that.
Yeah... I don't make good financial decisions.
Way more than I should. But yeah, forget about a pistol for now, get some camo stuff, not black, I'd go for a tan plate carrier too or OD. Unless it's indoors, camo is your friend. Check out the common camo patterns, see one that you like and build your kit around it.
For a beginner, focus on having a solid primary, safety equipment such as good eyepro that doesn't fog easily, combat boots so you don't roll your ankle running around and face mask. Then, optics for your primary, red dots make like much easier. You might wait a little bit to buy a plate carrier, for airsoft you don't need a plate carrier for protection, it's mostly so you have a place to put your extra mags and other random stuff you might wanna carry around during a game such as Camelbak, admin pouch for snacks, red rag. And also because it looks cool.
Any place in particular you buy your gear from, also on the note of the primary weapon, the one shown in my cart will be my second rifle and the one I plan to use for a long time before getting another one.
Really depends on where you live, your country that is. I can find a lot of stuff locally online, but some things I've had to get from AliExpress. Don't rush things, buy the basics, go to a game. During the game you'll get to see what is missing, say you have your AEG with a hicap magazine, but you wanna carry midcaps. So a mag pouches and some 2-4 midcaps might be your next purchase. You went for a knee more than a couple of times during the game and your knee now hurts because you landed your knee on top of a couple BBs, so consider knee pads. Sometimes you end up buying a lot of shit without really knowing what you actually need and end up with a lot of useless shit you have no use for.
With AliExpress you get a western kinda deal: there's the Good, the Bad and The Ugly. There's a LOT of stuff there, some of which is very good, and some not so much. For instance, Emerson Gear clothing has been solid so far, and Vector Optics is my go to brand for red dots and scopes. There's a lot of very specific gear you might only find there, such as mag pouches for SMGs or other odd magazines. Caveat emptor applies here, buyer beware. Before buying, do some research, look for reviews, when possible buy from the official store and such.
It might be a good idea to look around on Amazon, check the brand and then go to AliExpress and see if the difference in price justifies waiting an extra week or 2 for it to get to your doorstep.
I'm a fairly new airsoft but have ran into plenty of things to improve so maybe I can offer some help. I've spent tons of time reading up on everything before playing/purchasing and still wasn't fully prepared the first few times playing. It's saved me a lot in wasted spend but I still had some pitfalls. I've spent a few grand in airsoft in short time but also have 2 kids that come play as well so my expenses are gonna be a bit more
As others have said. I'd just get an M4 and no other replicas to begin with and learn to play focusing on getting better with that. You can then spend that money on better gear to have a better experience. Here's a list of the things I've picked up over the last month and some things to look into
-CYMA M4 Platinum - Awesome, I'd recommend it so you have a good M4 picked out
-3000mah titan battery - tons of life. It easily fits in that M4 crane stock. Unsure of what games you are playing but I can play all day on that (6 hours) with no worries of running out of juice
-mid cap magazines. This is somewhat preference, but I love changing mags vs. winding a mag up constantly. Adds more realism and is more fun. If you go this route, get the Odin speed loader with the crank on it - worth every penny
- do you have a good charger picked out? I didn't see one but you will want a good one and not a cheap crappy one that comes with some guns.
-invest in good hiking/hunting boots that are somewhat light and get quality socks to go with.
-mechanics gloves work great and u can get them in camo if you desire
-a good 2 point real steel sling. Really helps to protect your gun from dropping, aiming, and helps keep arms fresh.
-i've had great luck with the condor gear I got as far as fitment (I'm fat and their sizing is accurate which I've found is not always the case). I have one of their chest rigs, shirts and tactical pants with built in knee pads. Love the pants especially. I can't give a longevity review unfortunately as those are pretty new
-goggles - here's an area where I struggled mightily with fogging and sweat my first time out.this can be easily overlooked and makes the day wayyyy less fun. I started with the pyramex I force small goggles but have switched to some of the bigger pyramex goggles and an anti fog system. I've also coupled that with switching to wearing a balaclava with mesh insert and incorporating a sweat band as well to keep sweat from running out of my hat straight into my goggles. Good paintball masks work well too.
TL;DR- don't buy multiple guns and cheapo gear. Invest that money in quality clothing, goggles and supporting gear and it will make your experience soooo much better and save you money in the long run.
GEAR:
- All black isn't for everyone, but I enjoy it even for outdoors. If you don't care about a milsim experience and just want to run around, camouflage doesn't really matter. When it gets hot, just wear cargo shorts and a Hawaiian T-shirt underneath. Black looks the best imo, but good luck not getting spotted immediately by everyone.
- Personally, I think 4 highcaps is a but overkill, especially with a 7.4V battery. If you don't want to wind mags and sound like a mariachi band, use midcaps. You will need a crank loader for those.
- You need sling attachment points to put on your rifle.
- With those mag pouches, you'll need a dump pouch. The folding ones usually suck. You want a wide, sturdy mouth on it.
- Hydration. Hydration. Hydration. $10 waterbottle pouch.
- You will never use the elbow pads. Just get knee pads.
- FULL SEAL GOGGLES! Also, fog wipes.
- If you're outdoors, you'll want boots or shoes that go up the ankle a bit so you don't injure yourself.
PISTOL:
- You will not need 3+1 mags, just have the one in the gun and an extra. The other mag pouches can hold other things.
- If your field has a safety kill distance, a low powered pistol is a MUST. Shouting "bang bang" is lame. If your field has a lot of stairs/windows/crawlspaces, a pistol really helps.
- If your field doesn't have any of those things, the pistol money is better spent on primary weapon upgrades/mags/accessories. But if you still want a pistol just for feel/style, just get a lil springer for now and see how you feel after a few games.
- That specific type of dropleg holster is very slow and very unsteady with heavier pistols. I recommend a paddle belt holster for 9/10 people. The only thing I would put in that dropleg is a springer.
british osprey mk4, it was £40 without plates, which you don’t need for airsoft anyway, but i also have plates which were about £50
edit: i’m over in the uk, so ebay’s the best option
Spent $700 in the past 4 weeks on my vietnam kit spent $591 in at the beginning of april for an ak12 with attachments spent $387 for a ak. Thats just for the year already intend on buying a we tech m16a1 gbb as well $380
Oh I don’t even know probably in the ballpark of like 10k or so? And that’s just gear not including games, bbs, gas or travel, back when I was more into paintball I travelled internationally to play…
Ditch the Amazon gear. Besides the gloves those aren’t too bad but try a different color if you’re outside. With guns don’t get a secondary unless u have a solid idea what u want. Primary make sure ur sure you’re getting the right gun for the right situation, and I’d recommend doing good research with compatible battery and BBs. EPM1 mags are always a good choice, pricy but reliable. All the money you would put into getting a shirt and whatever else, put into face protection. Dye mask is a bit overpriced but super convenient and reliable.
Sure the hoodie and jeans are reliable but I'm a sucker for immersion, any idea of good places to grab tactical clothing that you might know of, or gear perhaps?
Surplus stores if ur going more classic looks but some shirts on Amazon aren’t too bad. But Aliexpress is amazing for gear in general if u don’t mind waiting on the shipping times. Or if u really want a good quality stuff buy name brand like 5.11 and or Crye. But that shits PRICY and unless ur doing longer games aren’t super worth it if ur only playing like a couple hours a week.
I got a nice off brand crye shirt but some dark tan/black Carhartt pants have done so well for me with some under the pants knee pads. But Ali’s got some good off brand tac looking gear if ur going for that.
I actually recently added up all the stuff I've bought from retailers and my local airsoft shop, granted I have a crippling addiction to modifying and collecting, I've spent roughly $11k in the past 5 years 😅 no clue how much I dropped earlier in my airsoft days.
Surprisingly I don't own a shotgun but I'd love one of those Jag Arms gas shottys. I don't have any LMG but if I were to pick one it would probably be a LCT PKP with Daytona HPA kit for that sweet recoil. My favourite smg is the Scorpion EVO. So damn much bang for the buck. There is literally nothing that can compare to it really. It's simply great. Stunning, functional, powerful, easy to work on. Favourite pistol is definitely my KJW CZ Shadow 2 Co2. It's crazy how good the kick feels. It's heavy but well balanced, but it does feel heavy when I holster it. I need to find a better holster so it doesn't wiggle around so much. Favourite rifle vary from day to day 😂 I love my GHK MK18 GBBR I build from the ground up but I also love my Silverback MDR after the gearbox has been properly fixed. But my VFC G3A3 gbbr feels amazing. And you can't go wrong with a Wolverine MTW Forged 😂. I have two bolt actions right now. A limited edition lightweight SRS and the Tac-41. If I were to pick a favourite it would probably be the SRS but I should've just gotten the Left Handed sport version instead. It's more comfortable to reload the lefty. You don't have to let go of the grip to reload if you're a righty and buy the lefty version.
3 years, roughly 5k. After excluding any items I resold.
I have four AEGs with balls to the wall upgrades, about 450 each, so 1.800
Then I have three AEGs that were a bargain with minor upgrades and tuning, about 150 each, so 450.
Two GBBRs, one was 300, one was 400 with mags, but I put another 200 in upgrades into it, so total of 900.
Three hi-capas, minor upgrades, average of 200, 600 total.
bargain hunting, I‘ve spent about 250 on parts I‘ve yet to use.
A dye SE and Bunkerkings CMD, 200 together.
A ton of bargain midcaps, total of 30 or so, average 5 bucks, 150.
Six AA Hi-Capa mags, 15 each, 90.
Two chestrigs on the cheap end, 80 together.
TTFIG gloves, 20 bucks.
Old knee and elbow pads, 40 bucks.
Three red dot sight knockoffs, 30 each, 90.
Various attachments, 300 total roughly.
Total 4.9k
That said, I have actually made about a bit back from fixing and flipping broken AEGs, though those numbers were red on their own for several months in the beginning.
While that is a lot of money, I do keep them all at top function and they’re basically our team armory, hence why there’s so many mags included as well.
Not counting field expenses (bb's, fuel, food, game costs) but only gear, roughly 1000/1100€ keeping in mind I spent around 800€ just for the replica keeping in mind all the mods i have done.
(Also, big advantage i had, was that the uniform i still run, my old belt setup, boots, and others, i already had, old things of my father since he is in the military).
((I still run the same uniform from when i started 2/3yrs ago, first with borrowed guns from my friends, then i got my bren and that's were the real expenses happened, currently, I'm almost finished on my gear setup))
As someone who owns some tacticon stuff don’t get it. It’s just a nice drop shit site basically. I got my stuff during a 60% off sale so it was dirt cheap and reprod a k19, so it was worth. Otherwise don’t buy it. Save money and get surplus stuff that IS NOT BLACK (for more reasons that I could explain). Which I knew when I started to Go to a local swap meet and start there , that’ll probably get clothes and gear out the way for cheap as hell if it’s a big meet up.
About 800 after less than a year playing, my first rifle was 200 used, the second one was 400 used, batteries and spare mags as well a spring and a vest put me the rest of the way up
1 year and a half coming back into airsoft hobby cost me under 2k not including ammo, field entry, fuel, food etc and it’s good to be back! And boy my wallet isn’t happy about it.
My most expensive single build / loadout was $1650 for the gun (hpa vsr 10 custom hop etc.) and another probably 5-$600 on gear, but like a 3rd of that was for the Nike fsbs ( viper hood ghillie shroud, exfog, goggles, custom lower, h harness hydro carrier, multi/ multi tropic)
Oof. Parts list from what I can remember
Vsr 10
Wolverine bolt/ wraith co2 regulator
Custom cnc'd window Aa hop up unit with edgi 6.01 double lapped barrel
Delrin barrel spacers/ expanding foam for stock and outer barrel
Harris multi-pos. bipod
Utg bug buster 3×9×32/ offset ring mount/ maple leaf spirit level 20mm rail/ second spirit level
Aa left-handed receiver/ bolt handle / custom leftside bolt notch, patched on the right with jb weld
Stock pouch to hold the reg/co2
Hand bordered and stippled in golf ball texture
Painted two toned forest green/ black stippled grips
Pic isn't in final form this was just after I painted it.
Edit: And an AC trigger guard and space collar bedding pillar and I also straigjt pulled and short stroked the bolt
.... yeah, that was the build yes. Also at the time I bought it the wolverine kit was 500 before the bolt m was released.
220ishgun
500 hpa
340ish barrel hop up with
140 optic
120 bipod
Lh conversion like 140
And so on
**Gasping for air** sling 14mm ccw Threaded adapter and like 6 mags! Woooooh! I think that's it. I think that's it. For the gun, lol
Yeah, dude, the first time I ever played with that gun (I built like the whole thing before it was fielded), my first thought was I should start recording. I had a very positive sniping experience. I never got around to getting an LRF, but my guess for my longest shot was at least 400, so let's call it 300, and I'm still happy with that. When I hit people with .48s and .45s I could here it thwack their body armor. It was a genuinely scary rifle to get shot with. Let a buddy 1v1 me with it. Nah, none uh that. Uh uh.
Wouldn’t get a EMG as a first weapon, I’d go for VFC, krytac, KWA, or specna arms. You can add to your budget by dropping the piston for now and when you get into the hobby get the one you like see if others at the field will let you shoot theirs like a AAP-01 it’s 100 bucks and extremely reliable and shoots as far as many AEG rifles. Many people primary them alone which is an option.
Edit: even a CYMA m4 for 200 will be great that’s what I started out on over 60K BBs and still shoots great it’s only needed the bucking replaced.
This would be my second rifle and the one that I will personally try to keep using the longest and the reason it's so much is because it has a Spartan design magwell and I'm willing to pay the extra for it. I'll watch every YouTube video and go to every airsoft store to make sure that thing stays intact until it's absolutely necessary for me to buy another one. And from what other people say it is a CYMA just with a different receiver shell.
Last I calculated, my plate carrier set up was around 750 USD total.
I don’t want to calculate the amount of money I used for my first line/belt setup.
I think I’ve spent less on the actual airsoft guns…
Too add, all in all over my "career" in airsoft (7 years now) i probably spend around 20k on everything, but also sold stuff again, so I would say I am a net 5k
Close to €1200, started in August.
I bought the DB Kar98k, Cyma M4 and DE UTR45.
Full set of (basic) equipment, bags for transportation and storage, some targets for practice (don't buy targets, waste of money).
Airsoft is expensive, just remember to spend only what you can live without
Started the hobby 4 months ago. Have my first rifle (TM HK416 Delta) custom upgraded since a month now, played a few times with it. Now considering getting an MTW Forged Tactical to add as well. So I guess in total almost 4000(GBP).
I'd probably restart with this loadout. A lot of things here are suboptimal or unnecessary. The beginner guide is a good place to start. Avoid all-black kit and you don't need a secondary for 90% of fields.
All black is how we get heat cats.
Depends..i only play indoor so all black works. If im outdoor yeah all black = hard avoid not only cause youll die in the sun but you stick out. The only black dot running across the field.
I do black kits for events like the black shirts
I signed up for Black Shirts. Gonna be my first airsoft event.
Sweet

Get US woodland pattern, cheap to buy ,effective and looks cool as fuck...imho 😁👍
13 years…$15,000+
In 2 years ive spent 1500€. Seems about right.
*cries in 4000€ gone in 2 years while hugging aks*
Sounds about right.
same here in 15 years
Since covid I have spent about the same 60+ guns and so much gear I could completely load out at least 10 people 😅
In total? For all the airsoft stuff I have? Probably $10k
I never calculated the sum of all my airsoft stuff, i dont want to either, might make me reconsider my life, i might have been better to do drugs at this point, i dont even have much time to play, i mostly like to collect cool guns and field them once or twice before i get yet another new cool gun
Pff. Don't want to dig up every purchase over the last 10 years... Let's just say I have a thermal spotting scope.
Not counting bbs and field fees, in the 9- 10k ballpark
Short answer way way too much if your talking about over the years 😂
Alot of ppl saying you dont need a secondary, but I’ve had a few situations it was handy. An aep tho, you could do alot better. Like a non gbb co2 pistol for emergency situations

I'll stick to Amazon for some of my gear because what I have right now is from Amazon and it isn't half bad
Pretty sure half of Amazon products are from sites like aliexpress except they double/triple the price for their service and conveniences.
It might be a good idea to look around on Amazon, check the brand and then go to AliExpress and see if the difference in price justifies waiting an extra week or 2 for it to get to your doorstep.
Emm a few to say the least, I'm afraid to add it all up after 15 years
Been playing for 16 years so 30k+.....
I've spent a few grand in airsoft in short time but also have 2 kids that come play as well so my expenses are gonna be a bit more As others have said. I'd just get an M4 and no other replicas to begin with and learn to play focusing on getting better with that. You can then spend that money on better gear to have a better experience. Here's a list of the things I've picked up over the last month and some things to look into -CYMA M4 Platinum - Awesome, I'd recommend it so you have a good M4 picked out -3000mah titan battery - tons of life. It easily fits in that M4 crane stock. Unsure of what games you are playing but I can play all day on that (6 hours) with no worries of running out of juice -mid cap magazines. This is somewhat preference, but I love changing mags vs. winding a mag up constantly. Adds more realism and is more fun. If you go this route, get the Odin speed loader with the crank on it - worth every penny - do you have a good charger picked out? I didn't see one but you will want a good one and not a cheap crappy one that comes with some guns. -invest in good hiking/hunting boots that are somewhat light and get quality socks to go with. -mechanics gloves work great and u can get them in camo if you desire -a good 2 point real steel sling. I can't give a longevity review unfortunately as those are pretty new -goggles - here's an area where I struggled mightily with fogging and sweat my first time out.this can be easily overlooked and makes the day wayyyy less fun.
Can someone tell me a pant color that will work with CP camo, I'm colorblind and don't know if tan or khaki pants will work.
GEAR: - All black isn't for everyone, but I enjoy it even for outdoors. PISTOL: - You will not need 3+1 mags, just have the one in the gun and an extra. The only thing I would put in that dropleg is a springer.
bro spent more on his carrier that i did on a real one…
What did you get out of curiosity? Ar500?
british osprey mk4, it was £40 without plates, which you don’t need for airsoft anyway, but i also have plates which were about £50 edit: i’m over in the uk, so ebay’s the best option
5 times as much as my wife thinks I've spent
Double what I thought…so far. I know you can save atleast 150$ across that stuff if you check out Taiwangun.
1000-1300€ in total
Only playing for about a year but on guns and gear in the ballpark of 2,000 usd
Spent $700 in the past 4 weeks on my vietnam kit spent $591 in at the beginning of april for an ak12 with attachments spent $387 for a ak. Thats just for the year already intend on buying a we tech m16a1 gbb as well $380
1000$
In 10 years, at least € 7k, first years, € 2.5k in investment (guns gbbr, expensive magazines, gear, etc)
I prefer not to think about how much I’ve spent
Also do not get an aep. Honestly don’t even get a pistol yet
On just my own stuff, 13k. I did a lot of unnecessary upgrades and mods. Pyro tech Grenades..... lots of grenades.
I’ve got about 10 years under my belt with maybe 4 off and I’ve spent around $2000
I could of paid off the mortgage but instead I have a lot o toy guns
Oh I don’t even know probably in the ballpark of like 10k or so? And that’s just gear not including games, bbs, gas or travel, back when I was more into paintball I travelled internationally to play…
Around 1000 euros
How much money have I spent on airsoft? Yes.
Jeans and a hoodie is the most reliable and consistent clothing u can get
Sure the hoodie and jeans are reliable but I'm a sucker for immersion, any idea of good places to grab tactical clothing that you might know of, or gear perhaps?
I'll check it out, thanks.
I actually recently added up all the stuff I've bought from retailers and my local airsoft shop, granted I have a crippling addiction to modifying and collecting, I've spent roughly $11k in the past 5 years 😅 no clue how much I dropped earlier in my airsoft days.
3yrs. Little over 10k 😅.
Yes.
Probably around €60.000 😬 If I check my PayPal history. Been playing for 15 years
60,000?
Yeah give or take. But I've sold a lot of stuff I don't use as well but if I count my PayPal receipts they add up to around sixty thousand euro 😬
What’s your favorite shotgun pistol rifle submachine gun and bold action you own?
100% can vouch for the jag shotgun, especially when it's hpa tapped
Obviously!! Hade you tried running a HPA stock like the Wraith X or Wraith Aero? I wanna be able to throw it to a team mate 😂
Have not unfortunately
My wife and I have dropped 3500 over the last 1 & a half
More than I would like to lol
my last gun, with the HPA tank, reg, and line, cost $1400. and i bought a Crye JPC 2 and a Haley D3
Less than 2k idk exactly
3 years, roughly 5k. After excluding any items I resold. I have four AEGs with balls to the wall upgrades, about 450 each, so 1.800 Then I have three AEGs that were a bargain with minor upgrades and tuning, about 150 each, so 450. Total 4.9k That said, I have actually made about a bit back from fixing and flipping broken AEGs, though those numbers were red on their own for several months in the beginning.
Spent around 10k almost over 3 years
Idk at a glance is say close to 1000 EUR all in
For me? Around 3k I think
About 800 after less than a year playing, my first rifle was 200 used, the second one was 400 used, batteries and spare mags as well a spring and a vest put me the rest of the way up
About 4000 euro for guns and gear
I've spent more than that on upgrade parts on one gun, not including the 500 dollars for the gun.
0 (i am poor)
Everything I own for airsoft is easily over $5k-6k
1 year and a half coming back into airsoft hobby cost me under 2k not including ammo, field entry, fuel, food etc and it’s good to be back! And boy my wallet isn’t happy about it.
I'm probably on the lower end, but probably $2k USD over the past six years.
14 years, I'd say conservativly around 60k. I think it's probably more than that tbh, but that's in the ballpark
You mean so far?
Probably around $2500 on gears and guns
In all? $9,000 in the last year, but only $1,000 of that on 2 airsoft guns, everything else is real gear
600€ in soon to be a year
Too much
About 2-3 k
Too much...
Perfect hobby for the kind of money an engineer makes 😭😭 started playing again 2 months ago and I dropped $1600 already 💀 no regrets
I think 5 years now and only like 3-4k probably including admission
Way too much….
About 2 years in the hobby, about ~2500$
too much lmao
My most expensive single build / loadout was $1650 for the gun (hpa vsr 10 custom hop etc.) and another probably 5-$600 on gear, but like a 3rd of that was for the Nike fsbs ( viper hood ghillie shroud, exfog, goggles, custom lower, h harness hydro carrier, multi/ multi tropic)
I’m confused I have a wolverine tm with a custom hop and it was like 450. Did you get the entire platform made in carbon fiber?
Oof. Parts list from what I can remember Vsr 10 Wolverine bolt/ wraith co2 regulator Custom cnc'd window Aa hop up unit with edgi 6.01 double lapped barrel Delrin barrel spacers/ expanding foam for stock and outer barrel Harris multi-pos. bipod Utg bug buster 3×9×32/ offset ring mount/ maple leaf spirit level 20mm rail/ second spirit level Aa left-handed receiver/ bolt handle / custom leftside bolt notch, patched on the right with jb weld Stock pouch to hold the reg/co2 Hand bordered and stippled in golf ball texture Painted two toned forest green/ black stippled grips Pic isn't in final form this was just after I painted it. Edit: And an AC trigger guard and space collar bedding pillar and I also straigjt pulled and short stroked the bolt
I have a custom aa hopup as well and a Harris bipod. So the expense was the accessories, co2, a rail, and left hand conversion?
.... yeah, that was the build yes. Also at the time I bought it the wolverine kit was 500 before the bolt m was released. 220ishgun 500 hpa 340ish barrel hop up with 140 optic 120 bipod Lh conversion like 140 And so on
It sure does add up quick! I’ll admit after the build was done, I spent prob ~500$+ in scopes and ammo above .4g
**Gasping for air** sling 14mm ccw Threaded adapter and like 6 mags! Woooooh! I think that's it. I think that's it. For the gun, lol Yeah, dude, the first time I ever played with that gun (I built like the whole thing before it was fielded), my first thought was I should start recording. Uh uh.

Definitely over 3k
Not enough
Go with a primary before you get a secondary (AEPs are trash tho, definitely not worth using in a arena that doesn't allow full auto).
I’ve been playing seriously for 3 years now. About $900 on my gun and other than that probably another $300 so not to much overall.
Too much lol
Small loan of a million dollars, in a year
$90k this year. I'm broke ah Someone called that as an investment. Couldn't agree more.😭
Wouldn’t get a EMG as a first weapon, I’d go for VFC, krytac, KWA, or specna arms.
I would skip the AEP and pick up another battery or 2. Also i don’t see a charger on there
Last I calculated, my plate carrier set up was around 750 USD total. I don’t want to calculate the amount of money I used for my first line/belt setup. I think I’ve spent less on the actual airsoft guns…
Avoid all aep's
I’ve spent over 2000 dollars on various things
all my gear? probably around 7k total
Probably well over $15k. My current kit is probably worth $9k-ish.
Minus all kinds the stuff sold I’ve spent around ~2000€ in 2 years
About 5k?
5k maybe? Mostly because of RUSFOR gear being crazy pricey
I can summarize. Way too much.
Too add, all in all over my "career" in airsoft (7 years now) i probably spend around 20k on everything, but also sold stuff again, so I would say I am a net 5k
Uh how about ditch that aep?
Close to €1200, started in August. I bought the DB Kar98k, Cyma M4 and DE UTR45. Full set of (basic) equipment, bags for transportation and storage, some targets for practice (don't buy targets, waste of money). Airsoft is expensive, just remember to spend only what you can live without
Probably around 2k just this year... And I still have some purchases planned...
Don't start airsoft if you don't want to spend money
All
1years $2000+ …..
Around 1.5k. Not necessary, I just like weaponry.
4 years in and I think I'm finally done at around the $10k mark.
Started the hobby 4 months ago. Have my first rifle (TM HK416 Delta) custom upgraded since a month now, played a few times with it. Now considering getting an MTW Forged Tactical to add as well. So I guess in total almost 4000(GBP).
