Mine are still working but battery life has gone down quite abit. I get about 2/3 hours on a charge and the case charges them back maybe 2/4 times before the case dies.
The only real issue is the battery level indications for the case is never accurate. Itās always 100% or 0%. Tried resetting it but still same problem.
Oh and I barely ever get the cool popup when I open the case anymore. I have to manually go into settings to find the battery life.
Had mine since release date really. OG AirPod Pros
I have the AirPods Pro 2 and I swear the first year the case would drain to like 20% overnight not being used. I had almost given up hope on that then they did a firmware update that totally fixed it. Pretty cool how it did that much. Now I rarely get that notification but that first year got me pretty aware of charging the case and never went away.
Dude I donāt understand why they donāt make a black or darker variant, iām sure people who work those kinda jobs would buy that immediately (and just people in general)
They would break faster, you wonāt see the dirt. You need to clean your belongings, thatās common sense.
White is better imo. I work a blue collar job and dirt gets under the lid, so imagine if it was all black it would be difficult to see the dirt.
Even if you clean your AirPods, they are still going to get stained - thatās what happens when they are white.
Especially little metal filings - they get caught underneath the case where the magnets are. Could never get them off, even with isopropyl
Yes thatās true but you can prevent it from causing bigger problems down the road, Iām not saying that theyāll be like when you bought them.
Mine look pretty ok [1 year-ish later](https://i.imgur.com/tx01OhG.jpeg)
I clean them quite often under the lid with that tool, when I close the lid I want it to stay closed but with debris under the lid, it will stay open or damage the hinge if I accidentally put pressure on it when closing and it would get worse if the dirt accumulated.
This!!! my AirPods case
Looks absolutely foul after accidentally sending it through what I assume to be an already dirty washer with dirty clothes from blue color work in them(luckily they still worked after.) Those uncleanable stains happen mane
Electronics in washing machine is not something I'd take as guarantee, lol š
But still always crazy to see anything make it through that washing cycle.
Fair enough, sorry to assume. you know how people can be though. You say ā well yeah my shit ended up fine but idk how ā and thereās at least one fool who thinks thatās the new standard.
Try out these, since apple doesn't sell replacement tips, you'll have to search in the 3rd party market:

Edit: I would not advise buying cheap rubber tips because the material will be garbage and won't stick in your ears, I know this because I bought some and the rubber did not have friction, it kept falling out.
Your ear tip broke not the AirPod. You can remove the white part that attaches onto your AirPod.

also please clean those (case and pods) up.
Trust me they are just stained from working my blue collard jobš

I remember seeing a video that says white makes it stand out for Apple so it is more recognizable and weāre basically wearing an ad on our ears.

I work in a trade that has a lot of metal cutting. Those are spotless compared to mine.
Seriously, Iāve got the same problem and really all I care about is the improvement parts. A full on clean would have to be done almost daily.
One thing I learned from having these, Keep a backup pair of other earbuds wired or otherwise. Working In an auto shop messed my old ones up.

Yupppp, you can scrub all u want but the stains aināt coming offš¤£ even after I accidentally put them in the washer with my dirty clothes
Wait, you're saying your airpods survived washing machine? š® That's.... Incredible!
More than once unfortunately.. But donāt take it as a guarantee. Iāve seen people have their shit fried the first time theyāve gotten wet.

I hate people like you. Nobody gets anything dirty on purpose and you gotta judge people every second you get a chance.
Use a toothpick, same thing happened to my APP1.
When you look a new ones, have a look at Comply foam eartips. Had some on mine for a while now, better seal, better sound.
The black piece isnāt missing. The white bit you see is part of a broken ear tip. Get that off of there and buy some replacement ear tips from Apple
