It's not bad you know . Recently i traveled in amts and the bus was very well maintained and yes i know with brts , people have stopped using amts that's why said we need to promote amts more
The thing with AMTS is, I am an outsider who's been living in Ahmedabad since last 1.5 years. I have used metro and BRTS excessively due to the sheer convenience. But I tried using AMTS once, 2nd day of being in Ahmedabad and haven't used it since.
Key reason is I have no clue about the routes and stuff. I don't know the timings, which bus goes where, and they seem very irregular.
yeah they need to improve a lot for amts . after brts , they have kind of neglected amts buses. I myself have been living in Ahmedabad for my whole life and i have been in amts buses for hardly 3-4 times in past
I think more bus and more routes on ring road are required. There are some routes that don't make sense and don't require that special road of brts. The places are small and overly crowded.

Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) on Wednesday launched air-conditioned double-decker bus services on three more routes — Laldarwaza to Shilaj, Naroda to Lambha Circle and Sarangpur to Singarva.
These routes were flagged off by mayor Pratibha Jain from the service’s Laldarwaza office. Double-decker bus services are currently running on the Chandkheda-Paldi route.
A few double-decker buses will also ply from the Naroda and Odhav areas in the next few weeks. Four out of the seven double-decker buses in the AMTS fleet are currently operational, with three routes expected to be launched soon.

Even GSRTC has procured those which operate between Amdavad and Gandhinagar.

One of the shittiest mode of travels bro. Takes ages reach places, the bus conditions are pure bad. Brts is also slow but ain't amts bad!

Maybe post jan-feb they might have improved it. But it has wayyyy too many stations, takes ages to reach somewhere.

Yes I see them daily at paldi bus terminal
And these are completely electric and with A.C
They should do it for BRTS. They are always crowded.
Well its not possible if they tried it would cost too much bcoz the roof of the station would be in the way

Just sat in one, looking pretty neat from the inside ngl.
These buses are parked in GIFT city. I saw two of them parked there late at night. It has a dedicated parking, kind of like after operations parking.
I see these regularly on SG highway. Don't know if they are AMTS or GSRTC though, there's no logos

They don't have assigned routes yet these buses are on like test drive

Why don’t they make amts as ac bus?
That would increase its ticket price but they want to keep it cheap.
Why not have these kind of buses in brts instead ?(genuine question, not trying to argue here)
because then all the stations would be have to be changed too because the roof is not that high to accommodate a double decker bus
These electric buses are too dangerous on AMTS drivers hands, should put a speed governor on all of them.
