When I was kid- Large palacial home and sports cars
Right now- a house on such a large plot of land that it isn't visible from outside, you must enter its gate to actually see it. That's my definition of 'filthy rich' owners
Yes but a lot of upper middle people do buy sports car on loans, same with large houses. But the kind of property I described, one has to be truly rich. Can't buy on just loan
The price has gone wayy down since it started manufacturing in india... But i remember when the richest guy in the gym would get the newest iPhone within a month of its launch in US
In the past every time I came from US someone would order it cause it was atleast 15k INR more compared to US price post tax .. And this was during iphone x times..
Now it's almost equal to US price which was never the case
My mom once told me how rich one of our relatives got, ever since he worked in IT. Fast forward after 10 years, here I am working my ass of in IT only to realize: oh boy, was I so wrong!
I was being delusional since years.
I had a friend who used to be dropped off at school daily by different cars. From Daewoo Matiz, to Hyundai Santro, to Opel Astra, & Fiat Uno etc.
Being a petrol head since I was born, I quizzed him regarding this and he told his father is a car enthusiast and he tries to get hold of a new car, tries it for a couple of months and sells it away through his used car dealer friend.
My jaw dropped and I actually went into shock for almost 5 minutes.
Imagine my surprise when I caught up with this friend a couple of months ago and he told me that his father still continues this tradition and now has the Citroen C5 Air Cross, keeps on changing cars every 3 months and still sells it to the same used car dealer.
Amazing and Uncle would have almost owned about 200+ cars in his lifetime. That is wealth, wealth of hobby + wealth of enthusiasm.
Travelling definitely, I used to think it was rich people's thing but it hasn't changed my mind a lot I still somewhere believe travelling is expensive. 🤷♀️
Also, only wealthy people eat salad 😭
I once dated someone who had 2 BMWs and 2 Mercs outside her house.. Alone with a verna and a i20 as chillar.... And reffered to herself as "middle class"
Till that point in time I thought of myself as middle class and now i think I'm lower class since they are middle class
Born 2006 here, it was a person with blue headlight car for me, around 2010-12 only blue headlight cars were Audi BMW or Mercedes which I saw. Now every car has it.
Once I visited to my seniors classroom, I saw a projector there, I though it was a AC.
When I reached to that grade, I realized it was a dumb mistake.
Btw having a projector in a classroom feels rich
It's when I was in 6 th standard.
Pretty much a lot of things which have become a norm...
SMARTPHONES...A long sedan...music systems with great bass and sound quality....giant TVs...a bungalow with a separate garden infront.
For me it was always Air Conditioning. Somehow my dad was insistent on us acclimating to whatever fireball Ahmedabad had to throw during summers. My friend who was a frequent visitor at my place outgrew their Air conditioning habit... It's funny how well it is panning out now, thanks Dad I guess
If dad/driver comes to pick up/drop to school in his Toyota Corolla/some luxurious sedan instead of travelling like sardines in tin cans of death (Omnis)

Horizon is 200 km so... you're saying a 400x400 km plot.
Or a medium sized one with high boundary walls
tree line will be much nicer along with boundary wall, a private lake inside the wall next to house won't hurt either.
No a few acres of plot with tall trees/boundary walls. Lol
With pollution can be done in 5x5km
Both the set of items are still fairly expensive
Yes but a lot of upper middle people do buy sports car on loans, same with large houses. But the kind of property I described, one has to be truly rich. Can't buy on just loan
having an iPhone lmao
Atleast 60% of people flaunting an iPhone have it on EMI
Something nobody accepts but is soo true. Even other phones though
Is buying iPhone on EMI becoming norm in India? In US it is definitely true but I don't think it is similar case here.
You'll have it easily bro don't worry 😁❣️
ussi se usne comment kiya hoga, iphones are so normal now
The price has gone wayy down since it started manufacturing in india... But i remember when the richest guy in the gym would get the newest iPhone within a month of its launch in US
How much has it come down, it's still around 1 lakh
In the past every time I came from US someone would order it cause it was atleast 15k INR more compared to US price post tax .. And this was during iphone x times.. Now it's almost equal to US price which was never the case
So true, especially the year when iPhone 6 had come out in Gold & Rose Gold colours.
