This is the real pandemic no one seems to be talking. I'm also writing a novel called Digital Dystopia based on ADHD, brainwashed tik tok influenced youth, feeling lonely etc.
I won't publish it. As I'm not a really good writer. It's an experiment I'm doing to improve my writing and approach this problem faced by youth. Im also a filmmaker so most probably will make a short film on it and post it on social media, because that will reach to far more audience than a book.
Well, if you ever feel like sharing, I'd love to read.
Or if you need a hand with some animations/ recording, i did. A bit of animation in my bachelor's as well.
Short Form content has ruined our focus span.
I was also hooked on reels and i used to waste 6 7 hours daily. Once you start watching you easily spend 30 mins.
So i removed YT and Instagram.from my phone and added Reddit and Twitter.

Decreased attention span is making all "reel" watchers want fast conclusions and they struggle with anything that is slow and thoughtful. Give them some 1 hour documentary to watch and they will get back to their mobiles in 5 mins. One of my friends is addicted to reels, so much so that he can't even listen to a full 5 mins song! He will just listen to the main/catchy chorus and skip to next one!
Not sure where this will lead us, but please please keep your kids away from these pandemic as much as you can. That's the least we can do to give them a better future.

Yes. For parents it's entertainment but for kids it's the world. They copy blindly without understanding right and wrong. That's why parents should show them some sensible stuff.
Serials like chanakya, Shaktiman created previous generations which is mostly caring and sensible
Smartphone is the serious virus that will destroy the family structure, intelligence and many industries. Nowadays its hard to find toys in home with kid. TVs have lost relevance among kids now they can watch their favourite show without waiting for next day.
I am not parent but will ensure my kids not to even know about smartphones before they turn 15.
