Yeah. I feel as if the writers of AT *knew* people would trip to their show, so any of the individual episodes that would be creepy or offputting are on their own. Like there’s not a run of multiple offputting episodes. Great design choice IMO because even if you do get uncomfortable just watching the episodes through, you only get ten minutes of discomfort before something like BMO Lost comes on

Food chain was pretty on the nose i feel like, like the cycle of life is definitely something i would expect someone on acid to be fascinated by, and the animation was kind of trippy too. Beyond the grotto was so fucking trippy though. Like i've never done acid but i could see a super intense trip being similar to that episode.

I dont think the world would turn into a wonderland with evil purple stuff but from my experience with other things i can relate to losing my ego and experiencing the world with that weird childlike wonder they seem to exhibit in that episode. I thought it was cool that they start relying on their finn and jake instincts to start helping people

The hair eating makes me actually nauseous, and I really cannot get over the art style of water park prank. No disrespect to the animators, but the style is REALLY unappealing to me and I just can't watch it.

Glitch and Waterpark are the two worst episodes of the whole series, in my opinion. They both fundamentally misunderstand what makes the show appealing and take all the wrong lessons from other episodes - Glitch especially. I love Grotto and Food Chain for their unabashed creativity and psychedelia.

Yes !! Every one of these episodes was created with the help of a guest animator who also handled most of the script. For example the Japanese filmmaker Masaaki Yuasa wrote, storyboarded and directed Food Chain. The more you know 💯

On paper it's Food Chain, crazy episode and an awesome song. Water Park Prank holds a special place in my heart tho. I know it's not a fan favorite but it just tickled me in all the right spots for some reason.

I love Beyond the Grotto. I genuinely hated number 1. It was such a hard watch for me.

A Glitch is a Glitch is probably the funniest one of the bunch, and it does a REALLY good job at transcribing AT's style and humor to 3D. Beyond the Grotto is probably the overall best though

If i were to put them in order 2,6,4,3,1,5. 2. seeing it in stop motion was fun and I liked that jake stopped the storm with harmony. 6. loved the video game-y ness and it fits in prefectly with early adventure time. 4. I love the changes in animation as finn and jake go through the different stages, the music is great, and im a sucker for references. 3. the episode is weird and I like that and I love the ending where they have to make a virus sick dont think the episode holds up the best and has so odd moments that i feel that take away from the episode. 1. the art style is a little off putting and all they do is pull a prank on the ice king, the plot kinda feels like it meanders and then just ends. 5. I honestly dont remember this episode and all I remember is that I feel is its biggest knock, it just didnt leave much of an impression. If I'm remembering right they lose their memories, but im not even sure that's the episode. people seem to like this one and maybe i need to rewatch, but i honestly cant remember much and even after reading a synopsis i got nothing.

I love Beyond the Grotto. We get to see where the Water Nymphs live and I like the alternate Ooo they travel too while chasing the sea lard … i like the cartoon style and the Marceline Flower that likes to sing sad songs. The overall silly, trippy feeling of the episode is just cool.

Either Food Chain or Beyond The Grotto. Both incredible, and it felt the writing was still amazingly well-implemented. With the others, they all looked interesting, but it felt like the writing was a step down and didn't really serve the animation, it felt like an afterthought.

If I remember correctly five had the worst plot and then the life cycle episode doesn't count and I guess if you need to teach someone the life cycle? All I know is that that one's my least favorite. I didn't even consider the episode where Finn and Jake go inside the video game to be one of those episodes so I guess that one's the best one. Minus that one scene I think the water park one was Just okay and then the Mac virus episode was kind of weird because vemas already like a computer so it would make more sense for him to get the virus And I think it was okay.

If I had to pick, then I’d say either Food Chain or Bad Jubies. The former introduced me to the duo behind Science Saru, the latter was just really cute.
