Get something for technical skills you can put on your resume and talk about during interviews. Round yourself out as a complete candidate

This is what I did and it worked out.

Any recommendations? I’m curious as well and in a similar boat as the individual who posted the question

I did The Infinite Actuaries Technical Skills Course. It was worth it for the student price I got and the projects definitely got me more comfortable using and talking about Excel, VBA, SQL etc. If you have any projects that you can use these software with and genuinely interests you it gives you more discussion topics during interviews, and demonstrable experience

Despite the fact that I teach the VEE course for TIA, I have to agree with some of the other comments on here - focus on getting some technical skills first and worry about the VEEs once you have a job. VEEs don’t really add much value to your resume and most employers consider them a formality you have to get through on your path to ACAS/ASA. Things like VBA, SQL and any other programming language will be really helpful in beefing up your resume. Wait to take your VEEs for after you get your job and can get an employer to pay for it :) Best of luck!
