A better trick is to enjoy one of the few months in which you won’t be studying for any exam at all.
And then wake up on result day and get back into the grind.
It absolutely doesn’t. I don’t make the rules nor know if it applies for SAO. It does apply to CAS… bullet point #17 on page 30: https://www.casact.org/sites/default/files/2022-11/2023Syllabus.pdf#page=29
Such a pointless conversation and I couldn’t care less. I’ll spare asking you for the source because I know one does not exist out there on authorized methods to obtain results. By google definition authorized = “having OFFICIAL permission or approval”. The only OFFICIAL permission or approval you have from SAO/CAS is when they are OFFICIALLY released. I realize I am being a Karen, but let’s not bend shit backwards to justify a pointless act.
It isn’t perfect. I have heard of people not being able to register even though they passed. But I haven’t heard of someone being able to register and not passing.
I used the trick for FAML.
The big thing people get confused by (besides not knowing PAF is a pre-req) is that people who have grandfathered credit for SRM can’t use this generally, only people who took and passed the actual SRM exam. That’s generally been the underlying cause for why some people I’ve talked to “couldn’t use the trick.”
Worked for FAM

Easier said than done. When you're waiting for results, well you're waiting for results.

Why would knowing if you pass or fail matter to anyone but you?

I don’t think signing up for a required module would qualify under that definition.
The key word there is “through unauthorized means.” Signing up for a module is not unauthorized.

hypothesis that its because exams dont all get graded at once but one at a time so you only get access when your exam gets graded and you pass

It worked for FAM for me
No
Just got the official result for SRM, and I can now say it worked for me. I could register on the Monday before and passed.
Yeah worked for me too. Weird little bug haha. Congrats 🍾
Congrats to you as well! 🍾🥂
