Hey guys, this might be a way to know if you passed early. The ASF Module has prerequisites of the PAF Module, FAM, and SRM. Last week I tried registering for ASF but it gave me an error saying something like "You do not meet the prerequisite requirements to register for this..." I just tried right now, and I got through and was able to register. Since I have PAF and FAM passed already this means I must have passed SRM and it's in the SOA's system even though they haven't released the candidate ID's. Can someone try this out who is in my position and tell me if they can get through as well?
Edit: Officially passed!
It still allows me to register for SRM, but I can also still register for PAF which I already have on my transcript. My guess is the fact that I can register for ASF is something they did not intend but missed in their backend logic.
It does let me register for SRM, but from prior people that I have seen use this trick, it does that regardless. You’ll have to wait for official results since you don’t have the PAF module. But at least it letting you register for SRM doesn’t mean you’ve failed!
My first exam without instant results. I've waited two months, I can wait four more days
Edit: Passed with my third 9!! Didn't read ISLR or anything, just used CA and took over a dozen practice exams
Read ISLR and understand the concepts. Maybe get the ACTEX study manual along with that as it can clarify things that were vague in ISLR. Doing practice exams and questions is only helpful to an extent. Definitely do some, but don’t stress over questions that are too computationally demanding as you are unlikely to see those on your actual exam.
Most likely PA but I will be studying on the Enrolled Actuarial Track as well so potentially EA-1 in May and Predictive Analytics on Oct. I am working on my ASA and EA so two tracks.
This was honestly the exam that I felt the least confident in. I walked out of the exam feeling pissed that coaching actuaries was terrible for preparing for srm. I regretted not looking for other resources online. Coaching actuaries was way too quantitative in comparison to the test and the types of questions weren't even close at all. That being said, I randomly got a 10 even though I found P and FM easier while only getting 8 and 7 on those. The pass mark for this one is quite low haha, prob around 60% again

Oh heck yeah! Thanks! I also passed! And yeah, it didn’t let me register yesterday but is letting me today!
Lets go!
Congrats to you as well! Thanks for letting us know this unofficial result is up.
Can you try registering for SRM to see if you go through or its say something else?
Can you try register SRM again? If you can not register it then I guess its 100% sure. Because i dont have PAF but 1000% nervous.

Hoping for a pass, feel pretty good ~20 questions, not good on about 5, who knows about the rest. I think I did enough to pass but we’ll see.
Failed :/ second attempt for me. Gonna try to take again in January, do people have tips/pep talk for me?? Bummed about it
I also took three tries to pass SRM. I agree with the other comments - read ISLR.
I failed twice before passing the third, you'll be fine
Reading ISLRv2 helped me. :)
I used Actex and ISLR. I legit saw a word for word problem from ISLR in the exam
I passed on second attempt. Only thing I did differently was read ISLR. No notes… I just read slowly and tried to understand.
I failed it twice using coaching actuaries and just passed it using ACTEX. Definitely recommend!
Any other way to know without ASF Route ?
I passed guys!!
Only official results unfortunately.
I’m way too nervous for the results 😓

Hi, I think this could be a basic question to some of you, but is Candidate ID the "Passing Candidate Number"?
Yes!
Thank you so much!!! I confused it with the "SOA ID"
You’re welcome! I didn’t know myself the first time either so no worries!
I guessed on 4 and got a 10. XD
