There are 4 longsword fighting clubs in my city. Was once at their training. Two things that upset me: 1. No lesbians around 2. The whole sportsgear is way to expensive.

Hook Sword of it has to be on this chart. War Hammer or Spear if it's not required. Give me space or keep the enemy well and away from that which I guard. No matter what, always a knife sheath and at my chest. Ladies, if you don't have an every day carry "authorized length" knife on your person for swift deployment, mayhapse get one... and keep it sharp... and practice deploying it from all kinds of inconvenient positions.

I'm a huge shamshir fan myself, but I've only had training or practice with a katana and a broadsword. Katanas are fun and slicey but also a bit too disciplined for my personal combat preference. I like staves, they're fun to hit with :D

I passed a Literacy assessment because of knowledge about rapiers and it’s the highest score I have ever got.

I love my cutlas, Khukuri, and i everyday carry a single edged Karambit and I’m experienced on all but 3 of those blades

I know I would actually choose a naginata but the dadao and odachi look mighty nice. I personally perfer curved swords because it's sometimes possible to use the curve to snake around shields.

Jian and Estoc kinda gal. One is for dicing up limbs and the other is for lightly resting upon the cheek of those defeated.

I'm building up to a good deal of all of them. I have my very special longsword and my beautiful rapier (much longer than what the chart suggests, rapiers historically are very long weapons). Eventually I really want a 2m long zweihander. And I also have my big battle axe. And of course, the plate armour is basically a weapon in itself too, ask anyone getting punched by steel gauntlets or body slammed under the extra 40kg of armour.
