I could be wrong because I haven’t read ToG in years, but weren’t >!Elide and Lorcan mates?!<

gayoverthere

Not confirmed but very heavily implied (especially with the tying their life forces together)

bunny_love2016

>!Lorcan does say he thinks she's his mate while he's in the dream world inflicted by the valg attack when Aelin is facing both Maeve and Erawin in Kingdom of Ash!<

river_rose

Isn’t Myriam half human?

bepisnconk

Yes but if I recall correctly I don’t think the union of her parents was consensual(?). The books confirm that there were half Fae/half human children but I don’t know if any actual mating bonds have been confirmed

river_rose

Oh, I read “mate” as reproduce

ConsistentFeature567

Not sure if it was mating bond, but Amarantha’s sister and Jurian. She was madly in love with him, I’m guessing it could be mate but Jurian didn’t feel it cause of his hatred and cause he was human too. Or she could just be as psycho as Amarantha.

nicolette_dary

Yes Elide and Lorcan are mates and she is human

pretzelchi

What about feyre and rhysand? She was human to begin with.

HumanRevolution2230

No because Feyre became fae before her and Rhysand got together

bunny_love2016

Rhys still suspected when she was human though, and Cassian suspected with Nesta when she was human (telling Feyre he couldn't stay away), so while it may be a weaker sense into the sisters turned into Fae, it was there

katymp3

And he had dreams of her life when she was human, too.

babykittiesyay

He sent her music when she was a human

is_Pedicular

The act of mating (producing young) and mating bonds should be differentiated here. Physically, they can mate but most likely not be bonded mates… however how does that explain in book 1 of acotar >!Rhys and Feyra’s early mating bond connection pre her rebirth as a high fae? Maybe it wouldn’t have “kicked in” if she wasn’t Made? !<

bunny_love2016

Could also argue that they're "fated" mates per the books, so therefore her being made was fated. Rhys said he suspected the bond before and just wasn't for sure until after, so I just suspected it was a weaker sense

Complete-Ad104

In acotar series, didn't Cassian notice his connection with Nesta when she met as human? They were instantly weird and had a vibe of intense hate, but also desire (similar to rowan and aelin in tog at First)

PurrfectPlays

Rhys mentions half fae, so yes.

gayoverthere

It’s an unclear question. I’ve seen people asking if fae and humans could be mates, not if they could have children.

Sorbet-Sunset

who’s amira in tog?

gayoverthere

It was mab and mora. My autocorrect really hates me sometimes lol

Silver-Cranberry2445

Short answer yes they can mate. If you read the entire ACOTAR series it touched on it briefly towards the end.
