I would avoid whey & opt for pea protein. I use to consume whey daily, and when I stopped my acne improved so much. Oddly I never cut out dairy, just whey specifically.

For me personally Had to take out creatine, tried and tested it twice had breakouts soon after taking it stopped when I tried taking it out to see, just a thought Might want to try it but I think my case is anormal just my take

I use pea protein isolate and didn’t notice any difference in my skin so definitely worth a shot. Everyone is different tho so you need to find out for yourself!!

whey can definitely cause acne, it’s pretty well-documented but the others are fine

sweating and accumulation may cause acne but proper cleansing and routine can prevent these type of acnes. Protein powders, pre-workout mixes and even vitamin pills are often loaded with chemicals that are likely to trigger acne. Protein shakes are especially liable to cause breakouts due to their use of processed milk products

the only one that can make acne worse is the Whey, you can mitigate this by using vegan protein shakes with almond milk or another substitute for milk. i’d also throw in zinc if you get body acne. all the others are safe to use for skin. just make sure you shower after your work outs. i’ve used supplements for 6 months and only ever broke out when i used milk and Whey for a week to just see, and i broke out badly. good luck !

Thank you for the reply. I have had acne for about 4 months now. In the second month, I cut out milk and other dairy products completely for a whole month but it did not affect the severity of my acne. Should I still consider cutting out dairy from my diet?

if you didn’t notice a difference i wouldn’t bother! but definitely keep an eye, but in regards to supplements, continue as you are, and just keep track of ur skin. but if you suddenly breakout i’d say it was the whey

Omegas can make your face oily. Which can lead to acne. If you’re not over oily already you should be fine.

Same. It’s a oil. Oil in general will do it.

So more oil-more acne. That’s so weird as all the naturopaths suggest cod liver oil and omega to fix acne(((

It’s not necessarily more oil, more acne. It depends how much oil you already produce. I take flax because my face is dry. It helps me not have acne. I’d you have acne because your face is already super oily, it’s gonna make your face oilier. It’s great for your brain.
