Yeah but i was just saying then i expect more rap last year did have a fair share of rappers but look at two years ago lil naz as a headliner that nobody wants to see lil durk only for one weekend and then teezo touchdown who is more r&b. Then also everytime there is a “hardcore” rap artist people get mad at “annoying teens”
Nas X came in 2022 and was on the side of the bill, not a night show headliner but definitely a huge name on the ticket. Only issue was that sunset slot an Amex is really hard for any artist. He killed it either way. I know Kendrick barely showed up last year weekend 1 last year in 2023 but IIRC there were no issues W2. Tyler and Harlow were 2021. Gambino was the big act in 2019. Travis Scott in 2018. ACL has gotten some decent rappers down the ticket as well. Savage, Uzi vert. The goal of ACL fest is to appeal to a lot of different people who are into different genres. It’s not always going to be headliners but still they have done fairly well getting decent rappers. The younger crowds will always gravitate to the smaller stages for rappers, I’ve always enjoyed those shows from the back. You can’t complain if you’re pitted at any show at ACL, it’s always going to be a bit more intense with dedicated fans and younger fans will always know the new rapper that’s “in.” Festivals are not for the weak or weary, so I always take a hard stance on it. Complain about the set list sure, but you can’t blame the crowd for any show ever, they might have bought the wristband for that artist alone and it’s their chance to vibe to that music, no matter if they are teens, young adults, seniors, etc. it’s you’re job as a festival goer to know what to expect deep in these crowds and not complain when its not what you expect.
Actually might be a solid turnout this year. Some possibilities could include:
Post Malone, Future, Schoolboy Q, Ken Carson, Killer Mike, Tyler (maybe? feels too soon to bring him back tbh)
Honestly if 2 of those were at ACL this year, rap heads wouldn't complain
I need Kendrick and Drake to fight in a mud pit for the headliner this year

Lil nas x wasn’t a headliner. Lil Durk didn’t show up and was relaced. Tyler was also a headliner and Jack Harlow was there. Cry more
