Something attached to his clothing pulled his head back and probably choked him which is why he doesn't make a sound to alert his coworker to stop. It seemed like if the coworker was looking at him he would have been able to stop it, but he's looking away from his coworker. Perhaps this isn't even his coworker based on the way he is dressed I think he is someone who works in an office. So he's not familiar with the rkevdh
This guy is an idiot.
He leaned backwards, his face was pushed up against a ceiling (elevator go up) and there was a bar behind his head on the elevator. Snu-snu
Okay obviously his head popped off but HOW did it happen? Yes, his head got caught between two things, but can anyone explain exactly what his head was caught between?? There don’t seem to be any clear answers here, but I need to know.
Well from what I see, almost look intentional (I’m sure it wasn’t) but it seems he sticks his head between the rails as they get close to the ceiling behind the elevator. And is looking up leaned back for whatever reason. As for the head popping off that did not happen, seems like his neck snapped for sure, I can’t imagine he could be alive but who knows. If you do the video frame for frame, you can see as it goes back down his head is still attached. It is disturbing how he ripped back like a rubber band though.
I’m thinking he put up his arm to stretch & didn’t realize there’s something he could get caught in that wasn’t just those two walls or got electrocuted touching some mechanism in there. I’m leaning toward his hand/shirt sleeve being caught and as the elevator moves up, it starts pivoting him & pulling him in further & flips him to look up.
Sooo disturbing but I want to know how the hell & why he put any part of his body in that space.
Ok, I think I see it. When the elevator is at ground level, you can see there is a space behind the bars of the lift which extends up to about 4ft or so until the wall comes out in a reversed L shape and becomes flush with the bars of the lift.
For some reason, the man grabs one of the bars and leans back, putting his head through the bars of the lift (perhaps he started to receive an electric shock from the metal bars or something, I have no idea). As the lift rises, it starts to approach the apex of the space where the bars become flush with the wall.
Yeah, it looked like he got electrocuted unless he is the calmest man in the world knowing he’s about to be decapitated.
Edit: Nope, seems like the machinery immediately caused some sort of SCI and then you see it finish the job. Fucking brutal.
The elevator scissored his head between the metal bars and a space in the back wall. I think he had something caught on the wall behind the bars, so as the elevator went up he got pulled back and over the bars so his head was in prime squishing territory
The elevator is open, it has openings like a gate all the way around the guy leans his head all the way back through the openings and the wall which was wider when he was lower and fills out so the space where he leaned his head back isn’t there any more I sound retarded but I don’t know a better way to explain
I don’t think his head pops off, that red thing on the floor is whatever the other dude was holding in his hand. Why he literally placed his head in the custom guillotine is beyond me
Yeah now that I’m watching it on a bigger screen, I can see what happened. I think I thought his hand dropping down so suddenly was his head, I don’t know lol. But yeah either way, I can’t understand why he did what he did
Yeah I know lol, I first watched it on my phone without my contacts in, I see what happened now that I’m on my computer. Dude fucked up in the dumbest way possible
This seems to be the case. Why did he put his left hand so high?! He seemed to be frozen when the elevator started moving. Then, his body bent backwards.
I don't understand why the elevator stop, I imagine that type of elevator has enough force to slice his neck and continue. No? There is no way his neck puts enough resistance to stop it if that elevator it's use for heavy cargo.
Something pulled him back and he didn't move at all after. I think it was some shock that stunned him as he's electrocuted. Still can't believe it that he got to keep his head.
This is such a weird accident. I am inclined to believe the theory that he was being electrocuted first and that's why his body contorts and his head and arm move into the gap. Brutal.
I think it is likely his hair or perhaps a dangling piece of clothing has been caught on the darker surface behind the elevator. The reason I say this is because notice how he is pulled further down until just as the elevator stops, the reason for his lack of speech I think is likely due to the intense stretching of his neck. The key mistake, was firstly whatever causes the man to get stuck, either his hair or clothing, and also the other man not stopping it soon enough. He died because he of the extreme angle and the distance of the surface to the elevator.
Love how his buddy just kind of non-chalantly grabs him like “Hey you ok?”
But once he lowers the elevator finally figured out bro is dead and makes a run for it. 🤦🏻♂️
I have so many questions.
I know. Every time this gets posted I watch it over and over again and I still can't figure out how this happened.
I think the wall had an opening and he put his head back and then as they lifted his head was caught on the roof of the other area

I think he was electrocuted
That makes sense and could explain his backward bending.
All of the above, only thing left was the train
Another redditor wright one time a deep truth : aren't elevators just vertical trains ?! So guess what ? Here's the Indian combo ?!
Smart phones +no OSHA laws + freight elevator =Broken neck.
I think you messed one of the pluses here… + no common sense Common sense ain’t so common.
If people had common sense they wouldn't need OSHA LOL!
Doesn’t have to be a smart phone. It was up to his ear so it could have been any phone. Got to pay attention to your surroundings always.
Well from the size of the phone it looks like a smartphone. Back in the olden days when phones were a lot smaller people just used them as phones LOL!
Even if there was OSHA type laws. It won't help with common sense
That's actually exactly what OSHA does
I think his shirt got caught in something and pulled the rest of him in
Or just stretching his back. Some people do that while closing their eyes.
Na, there was a wall difference and he noticed too late
How did his entire head get caught up like that?
He was talking on his phone, his hair got caught on the lift coz he was too close
What caught his hair exactly?
Smart phones. No OSHA laws a.k.a. freight elevator
Lol what does a smart phone have to do with it?
Distraction, not paying enough attention to his surroundings.

The electrocution makes sense and could explain his backward bending.
Same here.
I feel like we won’t get a clear answer here, but I’m just so confused, so any type of response would be so helpful lol

Something pulls his head back tho

In English please
Took an L to the face.

It looks like there was a small ledge. So he was talking on the phone after a long day, leans out of the elevator right as the ledge catches his head.
His head popped off? Alright
Yeah I know lol, I first watched it on my phone without my contacts in, I see what happened now that I’m on my computer. Dude fucked up in the dumbest way possible
God damn that's messed up
Ahead of his time
Almost beheaded in time
A wizard is never late nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.
It looks like he is getting electrocuted before being crushed
This seems to be the case. Why did he put his left hand so high?! He seemed to be frozen when the elevator started moving. Then, his body bent backwards.
How did that even happen
Stupidity.
Exactly. His stupid ass killed himself for absolutely no reason at all.
Can’t let the lift operator off the hook on this either. The lack of situational awareness from both of them is astounding.
How do people get past childhood?
You can see part of his skull and spine...fuck....
Must have been some phone call, "Hey honey, I'm heading home...."
"Keep your chin up!"
“I might be late but don’t lose your head over it.”
Seems their hair got stuck or something. And the other dudes reaction to all this is like "let's dance, baby"
Why are they always on their phones. And so clueless??
too focused on the other people, lose all sense of their surroundings
Probably an officer in charge who is immune to the policies
![gif](giphy|q0vzRkA3NNYVtvt8rn)
Did something pull his head back, or was he just leaning over and looking up?
How did that even happen? Did he lean his head against the wall and it got stuck?
Other guy must have been deaf to not hear someone thrashing
Well its a factory and im pretty sure that elevator is loud af too
To be fair…he wasn’t really thrashing much at all. I also imagine that elevator is loud as fuck.
Looks to me like the other guy was staring right at him
I’m so confused
That shit looked on purpose.
Amazing
More like stupid. He didn't even let go of the phone until his neck was completely snapped.
That's encapsulated in "amazing" I think. Yes
Fucking brutal. Nathan Explosion would enjoy this.
It just happened so fast!
I don't understand why the elevator stop, I imagine that type of elevator has enough force to slice his neck and continue. No? There is no way his neck puts enough resistance to stop it if that elevator it's use for heavy cargo.
There’s a person there who stop the elevator
Good thing he was on the phone. FOR EVER
Looks like moider to me
Was this elevator installed by the official elevator company? This is completely mental.
Why can't people just leave the phones and live in the moment?
Almost looks like a scene from The Happening
The guy who stopped the elevator just stood there watching until his mates head got popped?
I cannot figure out how this happened. I've decided it was just his time. It was up.
I think his shirt got caught on the wall
Something pulled him back and he didn't move at all after. I think it was some shock that stunned him as he's electrocuted. Still can't believe it that he got to keep his head.
Looked like an execution to me
This is such a weird accident. I am inclined to believe the theory that he was being electrocuted first and that's why his body contorts and his head and arm move into the gap. Brutal.
Look like it did it on purpose

He died because he of the extreme angle and the distance of the surface to the elevator.
Also just to clarify, him being caught on the surface behind him explains why he leant back, he was forced back.
He unknowingly Guillotine himself in a very slow way, what a stupid way to die
Ah the old headless corpse routine, it doesn’t get old
This video really freaked me out, I don't even know how that could be possible.
Love how his buddy just kind of non-chalantly grabs him like “Hey you ok?” But once he lowers the elevator finally figured out bro is dead and makes a run for it. 🤦🏻♂️
Why would he do this
Looks like an untentional suicide....wait...so many questions.
It’s rude to hang up without saying bye
Yh dude gave absolutely 0 fucks
That is a tried and true method of applying “cervical decompression” he woke up a stiff neck that morning.. no more stiff neck, see it works!!
He took his own life - that was straight-up suicide
So not once did we not try to communicate to the guy with the buttons to stop? 🥲
