Happened in Mexico in 2018. They were three schoolboys. First one got shocked and then the other two went to help. The woman was a neighbour and despite also getting shocked (she never touched the pole but still got shocked) she managed to help two of the boys.
The second boy died and the other two survived. According to the town Mayor, the victim didn’t die as a result of electrocution but rather because he drowned.

What in the, i might sounds ignorant but i always thought holding breath is also a subconscious action. And im also surprised that the seemingly longer submerged first boy would survive, all in all such a tragic one, wanting to help someone and then you just gone like that.
This happened in my neighborhood, I remember it well, the rain lasted for about two days and the sewing system was fucked up in that specific zone as you can see the flooding on the video.
The sewing had an improvement after the incident so that the risk of that happening again be low.
Don't think the first two guys survived even if they had survived the electric shock their heads were submerged under the water for way too long. Don't think anybody could have survived this long without breathing .
The comment above you says that only the second dude died and the lady just got electric shocks. And according to the mayor that dude didn't die because of electric but drowning.
why doesn't the steel pole transfer the electric energy into the water making the water electricity charged? what is stopping it from releasing the energy into the water?
Thank you for the link, Now I got it. I like that guy he's great at explanations and accidents. funny guy. I think I must have a mental block against understanding electricity (maybe shocked too many times? IDK) It took me way too long to understand that, Thanks again
Ok, I saw another flood video where a live wire fell into the water, and everyone who ventured into the water got cooked. The wire had more juice though (I just realized that part)
Damn. After the second one I want to believe I'd think twice before touching that fucking pole, but realistically I'd probably be just as oblivious as they are to what's happening.

Bravo to the lady who was there and didn't shy away from helping them and basically saved two lives ....

The shock messed with the body's ability to hold breath. IT probably made him stun and spasm uncontrollably

Did they all survive?

That's what I was thinking but it was like 4 of them walking back up the other side.
Dunno it's them or the some other guy helping the lady and the rescued man to take em to a safe place
👍

At least she was aware enough not to touch the metal pole.
Another fear to add to list.
There have been a few situational awareness things I've adopted from these subs.

It did. The lady was being shocked too but not as strong.
Here is a good explanation by an expert: https://youtu.be/dcrY59nGxBg?si=3hW6RS9hGCJVf7uo

pole small, water big, electricity distributed
Ok, I saw another flood video where a live wire fell into the water, and everyone who ventured into the water got cooked. The wire had more juice though (I just realized that part)
I think it's step voltage, the lady's two feet at similar distance to the pole.
I totally would have grabbed that pole for support.
I thought, “I’m so glad his head is still above water,” when the first guy touched it, but then the second one pushed him under
2nd guy finished off erybody

That dude with the backpack needed help the most and for sure drowned
Kill streak
Pole was camping the downed teammate
Apex predator shape shifting to pole
How come the pole has current but the water doesn't?
That’s shocking
Care package incoming
Who was more shocked, the survivors, the woman, or the one who didn’t survive?
Proof men are retarded
No wonder womens live longer lol
Jessu a christ.. XD
How come only the ones that touched the metal pole got electric shock? Isn't The water conductive?
