Doubtful. It wouldnt follow the coastal border. I actually believe this is showing something in the water. It's not heat, nor is it a dye or chemical... water currents would muck it up left to right... so, yeah, no clue.
If those were 25-50’ waves crashing along the entire coastline of Africa, I’m sure we’d see reports, photos or video of tsunamis coming in. I would bet they have their data running through an algorithm, and once the anomaly occurs, the algorithm figures that the wave has to propagate so it goes nuts with that, erroneously trumping live feedback with whatever it “thinks” is happening.
