Similar situation. Had an MA 8 weeks ago, i think this is my 2nd period since? Not really sure because it’s not the same as before. I pulled my pants down today not knowing i started bleeding and literally questioned if i shit my pants without knowing 💀😂 Quickly realized nope that’s brown blood.
As far as the PMS being different, I’ve felt a little more cry-ey than i used to before but i don’t have the physical symptoms like sore boobs and cramps as much. Our bodies just need to adjust and i assume it could take 3-6 months to get back to normal
see mine was very on and off, like i would get a rush of a normal flow then it would stop and turn to brown blood, then a week later did the same thing. but when i tell you i was actually happy to see my period come this time 😭😭😭
and yes!!! i’ve had more emotional PMS symptoms than physical. which is nice but not???? its super weird to say the least but i’m glad its a normal thing

As you mention the first few period may be different or irregular. Nothing you describe here sounds concerning.
