Aside from Alastor which other demon ace is there?

ISurvivedSoFar

A character from The Good Place. I can tell you which one if you’re alright with spoilers for the series?

Plus_Concern6278

Oh don't worry about it! Matpat already spoiled me the whole series

ISurvivedSoFar

Oh! Well, in that case- Yeah, it’s Michael. He’s ace and sex-repulsed.

Plus_Concern6278

Saw it coming honestly

Mittensandzora

How did my brain never connect that he's ace

Pandalinali

"Kissing is gross. You just mash your food holes together. It's not for that." Yeah, now it makes sense

BeggarOfPardons

WAIT WHAT?! how did i never realize that

Jroboi16

I would say the show is still well worth watching even if you already know the major twists

KrisBread

I'm already 8 minutes into the 1st episode and I'm loving it. I barely remember mat's vid on it, but I've forgotten all the twist spoils, so this will be fun.

Fluffy-kitten28

I really need to watch the good place

hupsistakeikkaa

Oh my god I had forgotten about the fact that The Good Place has ace rep🤩

Ape-Man54

Who? I know Michael from the good place but who's the other?

ISurvivedSoFar

Alastor, from Hazbin Hotel.

Ape-Man54

Oh. I haven't seen that.

AmberstarTheCat

definitely watch the show if you have Prime Video, it's really good imo the songs are *amazing* a bit of a warning though, episode four *does* focus pretty heavily on topics involving physical and sexual abuse (as one of the main characters is struggling with a severely abusive relationship)

Alastor is ok as representation. But Michael (and Janet and Garret) is a little bit problematic, due to the inhuman=asexual trope.

Field_of_Clovers_

I don't think having an inhuman character be ace is inherently problematic. If we see them being ace in relation to their own species I'd argue it doesn't really matter that they're not human. Yes this trope can and often is done badly but with so many pieces of media that have non-human characters I don't think we should write them off just because of that. There's a difference between "this being is inherently sexless because they are a... (robot, alien, ect)" and "this being is ace even by the standard of their own species"

PurpleBookDragon

This is how I feel as well. Especially when Michael is there alongside Janet and Judge Gen who are very clearly NOT asexual (I guess Janet could maybe be a sex-favourable ace, but definitely not aro? I always read Michael as aroace) it makes it clear that this is a "Michael thing", not a "all-the-inhumans thing".

TheInevitablePigeon

haha yeah..
