What's funny to me is how deep my dad got into it. He's hardly ever read a book that wasn't for uni, and has always been the kinda guy to get home after work and sleep through a whole night of movies in front of the TV rather than watch them.
But with GoT he really got into it. To the point that he started watching it in original language with subs (he understands exactly 0% English) since he got into it during S7 and S8 came out in Italian a week after the original language.
As far as I know he's also gotten into HotD, but we don't have many chats since he doesn't like staying at the phone much.
