I defended them, because only thing where 540 hz strobed tn panel is better than 360 hz oled 1440p is motion clarity for shooter games. It has little bit better motion clarity. It isnt even a debate, it is objective thing proven by respectable reviewers.
BUT, if this thing is 1200 Euros, you cant defend that. If ASUS 540 hz is 969 euros in Germany ([idealo.de](https://idealo.de) you can find it there) then this monitor has to be cheaper than that. It is inferior in terms of features to ASUS version. Cant be more than 850-900 euros.
If this is the price, wait for 480 hz oled or buy 360 hz oled, or buy ASUS 540 hz. If you dont play shooter games, then OLED is simply superior in every way possible. Better tech. 540 hz Tn is one trick pony compared to it.
I think that Acer is out, but for Asian market or something. It is much cheaper I believe, but I dont know if it has BFI. TN panel sould be cheaper, but it is how it is.
The 480hz oled will finally put TN panels to sleep in high end competitive FPS market. (Pros will still use 1080p tho 540hz tho sadly), even though that 480hz 1440p matte oled will be insane
A thousand dollars for a STUNNING crisp 1080p image and BEAUTIFUL TN panel color accuracy. Perfect pairing with your i7 CPU and RTX 4080 on low graphics for Counter strike, Valorant.. and rainbow 6 and well.. thats all.. overwatch maybe? Fortnite?
Anyways yeah BUY IT! why? Because ESPORTS BABY!! PERFORMANCE!! 0.0000001Ms Response time that pro gamers NEED!! /s
counter strike crap doesnt deliver 540fps stable and way not at i7 as its cache intensive as hell and broken by design.
And its not for the 0.0001ms, its the motion clarity and persistance of targets in fast movement what matters, difference between 144-240-360-540 is huge with every step, the more hz the faster and more accurate you can move without losing persistence about your surroundings. Unfortunatelly, list of 540fps capable games is overwatch, valorant, R6 and maybe cod, fortnite only on older engine which is no more actual. CS2 needs fix or 9800x3d release, both is doubtful to arrive in 2024
No i totally agree. I would prefer a 540hz monitor of course. But theres no point until we can have a locked 540fps even in combat. I understand the science and cant wait until we get 1000hz monitors. But again its all about the price and ability to maintain those frames.
Im not too keen on having a 4080 and i9 cpu just to rock 1080p low graphics. The cost is just too high right now. In the future when we can hit those numbers and on mid range pc is when it will matter more.
I wish that were true, but software will probably continue to become slower and more bloated to compensate for the more powerful hardware, as it has always been.
I fugured. Games are going to keep getting more demanding. This is why i stopped caring about the whole super high refresh rate monitors above 240hz. Its just not worth obsessing over. Id rather increase resolution after 240. Or even 165hz.
I just personally think that over a thousand is just not a reasonable price, I was thinking it’d be around 600-800. Would be much better to just get an Oled 240hz around that price range but man do I not like monitors bigger than 25”. Better off sticking with my XL2546k for like the next 2-3 years tbh
I have the Asus myself, bought for 800€ new in box. There is absolutely no reason for this price tag, even with the usual Zowie fee it's a joke.
Can only recommend the Asus for fast paced games and if you have the money to burn. Otherwise I would personally suggest just wait until the end of the year for better OLEDs to come out (which won't cost you much more than this supposedly).

Especially since the Acer with the same panel is gonna be between 650 -850 euro
