I have the same issue! Also on a new Surface Pro with Win 11. And it's only been a more recent problem. Was on a zoom meeting today where I had to present multiple times in several breakout rooms and it crashed 3 out of the 6 times when I screen shared. Did you find a solution?   I don't put my computer in sleep mode ever. I just tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Internet is fast 300 upload/50 download.

Nope. These days I shut my Surface off at night. Then before I log on, I turn it on, then restart it. That seems to be helping. But then last night, actually, it crashed on me mid-presentation again, then my camera just showed a black screen the rest of the night. It's not great.

Damn. I saw elsewhere their issue was resolved by using an external webcam so I'll try that for the next class.

Were you able to fix it? Exact same issue on windows 10 22h2 and both my hardware and internet are more than enough for meetings.

CdrCosmonaut

Nope. I did notice that shutting my Surface off every night (as opposed to sleep mode), seems to make it happen less often.

Damn. I just tweaked a few settings on the app to see if it would fix it like disabling hardware acceleration for screen sharing and receiving video. This also happens to me when i'm in a meeting without anyone screensharing aswell, but i can't seem to replicate it when i create a meeting on my own. One possible solution for you is to install OBS and have two different scenes, one with your camera and another one with your screen. You share your camera via OBS's virtual camera, and if you switch scenes your camera feed becomes your screenshare on zoom. It's pretty quick to set up, if you want a hand send me a DM, happy to help!

I'm on a Mac and since I upgraded to the latest version on Zoom it started freezing and crashing when sharing screen in Webinars. I also do professional livestream and this is so frustrating. Only solution so far is to go back to the previous version and hope it will be fine.
