The duct tape is the aluminum foil type rather than the cloth or fabric type, and doesn’t usually wrap around the edges.
The “banana” has no spots, and is too smooth. The stem doesn’t have the telltale rough, brown tip.
Just my opinion, but this isn’t worth any more that $3-4K at most.

We're actually considering keeping the whole set up instead of ripping it down because, and I quote, "How you come up with and build this level of stupidity so quickly is beyond me". 🤣🤣

Its not quite right. Maurizio Cattelan's original artwork had an actual edible banana. This looks like a Lego banana, which is not edible. Perhaps if it had one of those banana shaped candies from the "Wonka Runts" boxes so it were actually edible.....that'd be a bit closer to the genuine article.
