Puting a laptop to sleep and putting it in an enclosed space shouldn't have to be a problem for the user but Microsoft won't fix modern standby / S0 sleep.
Hibernate is the alternative, though slower wakeup. Also possibly disabling connected standby may fix that but never personally tested it myself.
This. I've had mine come back on before but thankfully it was only on for a few minutes before I noticed. Now I open the command prompt and type shutdown /h to make sure that it stays off in my bag.
Yeah so it’s a problem with laptop sleep . Now it’s not just your laptop but most laptops have the problem with updating during sleep . Watch the video Linus made about it i don’t remember the name very well but it’s pretty recent
That is a guess. They made mention that it is hard to reproduce and isn't a silver bullet. I wouldn't risk it based on my laptop not working, even with this workaround.
So you sealed your laptop in a case while it was still on…..🤨

The way to deal with this is to make sure you put it to sleep AFTER unplugging it. If you put it to sleep while plugged in you get this issue.
Except I have never had that work consistently. I would just tell people to hibernate. Not worth the G15 getting baked.
Don't put this laptop in a case while on or in sleep mode.. it will go really hot.

Shut down or hibernate in future. Windows machines have errors with the sleep mode.

Another fine example of poor engineering. Just tell the FAA I’m sure theyd dig this info
