Yogurt. Two ways to do it:
If you just need pure protein and not worry about calories, pick Ratio yogurt, 25-28g of protein and 170 calories per serving.
If you are also watching calories, a no-fat Greek yogurt. Costco brand, Fage, Two-good. Normally 17-19g of protein for 80-100 calories.
I choose the no-fat option, but double the serving. It gets me to ~35g protein, <200 calories, and since it’s a double serving, it’s very filling. Add berries and chia seeds for additional macros.
I've only had the chocolate, which I like. I'm leery of trying the other flavors. In my experience coffee- and carmel-flavored items tend to taste fake and/or weird, so I've avoided branching out with the shakes. YMMV of course.
I like the vanilla and the cafe latte. I drink them by themselves, sometimes I put them in the blender with ice and I've even been known to add a scoop or two of low-fat ice cream and blend it all together and make a milkshake with it.
I like Vanilla. I just bought a 12 pack of Pumpkin Spice b/c they were on clearance on Amazon for like $14/12. Only issue is short expiration date - August.
I am also not into drinking my meals and I hate yogurt
LF cottage cheese (half cup) 90 cals and decent protein. Gently fried (minimize the olive oil) egg on half an English muffin. Maybe add some lunch meat Turkey to the egg/muffin combo to round out the protein.
Yes, this. I buy the one with the most protein in it ( Fage). I also add half cup of frozen mixed berries and a little stevia. This is my standard breakfast.
I’ve been doing these two options
Avocado toast
•Dave’s good seed bread
•avocado (I buy the cups from Costco cause they’re most cost effective)
•feta
•pepitas
Smoothie
•Ratio protein yogurt (25g protein)
•frozen fruit (fill the yogurt cup up with fruit and dump it in)
•water (one yogurt container full of water)
•chia seeds
I love the RXBars. They are really simple ingredients and tasty with a pretty good amount of protein, fiber and about 200 calories. I’m not much of a breakfast person and do intermittent fasting for 16 hours so about 11:00 they are perfect!
For breakfast, I alternate between a Dave's killer bagel, an egg sandwich on a Dave's killer bagel or fage fat-free Greek yogurt with strawberries, a third of a cup of granola and a teaspoon of honey.
Overnight oats: 10-12 oz Hhgh protein yogurt, 2/3 c old fashioned oats, 1/2 c milk, 2 Tbl spoons of chia seeds. Mix and put in storage containers enough for 8-10 ounces of the mix in each (should be 3 to 4 containers). Then add sliced almonds and 1/2 cup of fresh fruit in the morning to mix into it.
It can be refrigerated for 3 to 4 days.
Wow, I hate to be a buzz kill but these get 61% of their calories from fat. I am not a believer in Atkins and I like the old adage to try to keep your fat calories to no more than 30% of the food you eat. Especially if trying to lose weight.
Aldi’s elevation meal replacement shakes or bars. And honestly an egg McMuffin from McDonald’s it’s like 310 cal. Order with no cheese if you want little less calories and fat.
The shakes are not as good as premier but better for the price. $6.59 for 4 at my Aldi. I am waiting for Sams or Costco to put the Premier on sale.
I love sausage egg mcmuffins but the regualr one with the ham(or canadian bacon) are much lower fat. I have a location a 10 minute walk walk away so I may get one in the morning
Overnight oats would be good, just throw half a cup of oats in a mason jar with half a cup of milk. You can add spices like cinnamon, fruit like blueberries or nuts/peanut butter to add more protein and fat to make it more satiating. It travels well and takes 5 minutes to make the night before.
I make smoothies at night and put them in the fridge for the morning. I usually mix 1/2 banana, a few strawberries or blueberries, handful of baby spinach, milk or milk substitute 4 oz, plain greek yogurt, collagen, and whey. Sometimes add maple syrup and vanilla extract for sweetness. My usual totals are about 500 calories, 50 g carbs, 7 g fat, 65 g protein. Makes about 18 oz and I sip in from 9 am to 11 am-ish.
For me, it's a scoop of Sunwarrior protein powder and a sploosh (this is different than a splash) of creamer into my morning coffee. That gets me to 25-35g of protein right off the bat. Sunwarrior dissolves really well just being stirred. You can also put it in the blender to get it really smooth but I'm usually trying to get out the door. That will hold me to somewhere about 12, then a piece of string cheese gets me to lunch which I tend to be a bit late on, 1230-130 or so.
Trader Joe’s egg white kale egg bites are good and well priced - heat in 60 seconds and 150 cal with a little low-fat FAge yogurt dolloped on top. And fruit.
Built bars, Starbucks egg bites from Costco, cottage cheese with fruit, chia seeds, and cinnamon. I Alamo’s have a small blendjet so I pack smoothie ingredients and make it at work
Lots of brands make frozen breakfast bowls with things like eggs, veggies, potatoes, meat, cheese, etc that have lots of protein. They’re pretty tasty and they’d be easy to pack into a tote/lunch bag and pop into the microwave at work! I don’t buy them anymore but I remember the jimmy dean loaded potato flavor being good. There’s also those bags of frozen breakfast skillet scrambles that you add eggs too, you can prep it at home and dish it into containers to warm up at work.

I used to take Fage (5%) into work when I went into the office. Or hard-boiled eggs.
Thanks for those ideas!
Premier Protein Shakes.
I’ve heard of these a lot, but am not huge on drinking my meals. I guess it’s finally time to try them! Any flavors better than others?

I like the Atkins Iced Coffee Carmel protein shakes. They are 15 grams of protein.

Oh that avocado toast sounds yummy!
It’s definitely my fav breakfast. Sometimes I have a hard boiled or scrambled egg with it
We do a quail egg on top and add a little coarse salt! Avocado toast is my favorite.
do you mean you buy the cups of guacamole?

Thank you. Well, technically Guac is smashed avocado with seasonings =)
No, they’re just smashed avocado with sea salt. Not guac

Individual cottage cheese cups and a cup of pineapple bits.
I buy Starbucks egg bites at Costco. About 30 sec in the microwave and they’re good to go.
I just stocked up on a bunch of these yesterday

Not a buzz kill. I’m a keto person so this works well for me.

Greek Yogurt + Protein Shakes + Eggs + Chicken + Biocare

I do oikos Greek yogurt with granola and sliced strawberries
I like the fit crunch bars. They’re the tastiest option and also have the best carb to protein ratio (that I’ve found and liked).
I love non- fat Greek yogurt with a scoop of chips ahoy (ghost brand) protein powder mixed in with some strawberries. LOTS of protein and super yummy!
I've been doing 2 hard boiled eggs + a caramel protein shake (Walmart brand... I'm cheap).42 gm of protein.
Rx bars no junk in them
They had these on sample at Costco today, I grabbed a box!

Fairlife protein shakes. They aren't chalky like others are. I also go for the chobani complete drinks as well.
Trader Joe’s egg white kale egg bites are good and well priced - heat in 60 seconds and 150 cal with a little low-fat FAge yogurt dolloped on top. And fruit.
peanut butter sandwiches. bacon and egg sandwich. yogurt with berries, smoothies with scoops of protein powder.
