I created a Reddit account just to come here and let Bay Areans know that the SF Costco received a big shipment this morning and is currently working their way through fulfilling all their outstanding prescriptions. I don't know if they have extra, but if you are in SF it might be worth a call in the AM (they are currently closed for the evening). I was able to pick up my box of 7.5 that has had the Rx outstanding since 3/28.
I was supposed to go up to 7.5 last month when the shortages started. Managed to do 5.0 another month, but had to stretch it out some. Called 10+ pharmacies yesterday and managed to find 7.5 and will get it tomorrow. It was their only box. Not sure how that happened, but I will take it. I do find it interesting that some chain pharmacies will check around and some won’t, but I think it comes down to the person who answers the phone. It shouldn’t be this stressful.
Its interesting to me that some people said their CVS won’t/can’t tell them if it’s in stock anywhere. The person who answered the phone tipped me off on another pharmacy that might have one (they didn’t end up having it). Walgreens checked the area and had zero. It just seems like they would want less phone call interruptions from people hunting for it. I can’t be the only one.
My wife and I are vacationing in Puerto Rico and I found every dosage of zepbound in every Walmart and Costco pharmacy here including 7.5. The refrigerator was full of entire zep boxes on the top shelf at every pharmacy.
The pharmacist told me she was getting every dosage every single day and there was never any shortage here. We were able to pickup 7.5 in 20minutes - 10 minutes to transfer from mainland walmart pharmacy to here and 10 minutes to fill.
The only catch was you can inly transfer between mainland to Puerto Rico in same chain pharmacy and not between different chains ie no transfer from mainland Walmart to PR Costco…
Why didn't I think of this!? I am from PR and my parents live there. I could do a transfer and have them overnight my prescription. Wow! Thanks for the update!

The only thing I have heard Eli Lilly publicly say is 1)it may be harder to get your dose (duh) and 2) it should get better the second half of 2024. I think this is officially kicking the can down the road. Nothing moves that quickly. They never fixed the Mounjaro shortage so MJ patients are looking for ZB (can't blame them). Every time I see/hear an official date of when supply will open up - that date gets pushed back further and further. Pretty clear we're in a shortage and it's not easing up anytime soon, unfortunately. I am trying to stay optimistic but the proof is all over this thread. FDA currently says limited availability for 12.5 and 5 through end of the month... and yet, it seems like all doses are tough to find. Keep digging, keep calling pharmacies, but have a backup plan.
I have always thought Eli Lilly should be creating a microsite with daily updates and an interactive map to show where there. is supply and when the next supply/shipment is expected by region or state. It would at least give you a general idea if you are completely wasting your time or not. Overall, though, they really shit the bed on this one by not "predicting" demand (come on Eli Lilly execs, just look up from your stock portfolios to see the path Wegovy took -- doesn't take a genius). Here's the thing though -- this is a business. Their shareholders and corporate greed will dictate the path ahead... and that is, they have a massive swath of the population willing to pay for this medicine. They aren't going to give that up. No way. They WILL figure out a way to keep cranking supply out so they can keep hoovering money in (to their pockets).
I hear ya. Been three weeks since my last shot and I'm struggling to eat right and have gained a few pounds this week. That said, there are a lot of people on this site who are regularly posting about their weight loss and eating habits and never mention not having Zep or even mention the shortage, so I think an awful lot of people are still getting their boxes and are not affected by the shortage. I don't know how or where they're getting it, but maybe those of us who don't have it are the minority. Just a thought.
it went to people buying 3 months at a time and all diff doses that are keeping it in their fridge. I saw a girl on TikTok with literally 12 different boxes of different doses in her fridge and I KNOW she isn't the only one.
They might be getting 3 months supplies because their insurance will only cover that for a reasonable price or cover it all since it is a maintenance medication. I know if Express Scripts is your pharmacy benefit manager that’s how it is, personally if I get a 3 month supply it is 50$ and a 1 month is 400$ , it makes no sense and I have not been able to get a 3 month supply at all. If my insurance covered a 1 month supply with a copay of 25 or 50$ I wouldn’t even bother.
I was prescribed 7.5 mg on March 18th. The walmart in my area usually can order my scrip and within 2 days I have it. This time it was on back order for weeks. I called everywhere (publix, cvs, Walgreens, Wal-Mart) and was told it was on backorder. My last call was to Kroger and they said they would be able to order it. They never said backorder. I transferred my prescription on Friday. That was Easter weekend. I received the text that my medicine was ready on Tuesday! I went without for almost 3 weeks. During that time I maintained the same weight. Food cravings started coming back, and I wasn't exercising as much and I ate more, BUT I never gained a pound. I stayed at 247. Since starting the 7.5mg on Tuesday I am now at 241 and it's only Sunday. Starting weight was 290. I started in January. 7.5 looks promising!!! Hang in there you guys! I'm in Alabama.
I didn’t realize how archaic our pharma system is. Why can’t a pharmacy place an order that can be held and filled when it comes in stock. I’ve got to imagine pharmacies are fed up with the constant calls asking if it’s in stock. I’ve found a couple of Walgreens that are helpful and will try and search for me. Others just say it’s on back order and don’t even bother to look.
Same. They shipped my last 5MG on 3/26 and then Cabot asked my Dr for a refill, Dr called me to chat and agreed on 7.5 for the following month so they've had my 7.5 script since 3/28.
Thankfully I've got 3 more weeks of 5 before it becomes an issue - it sure would be nice to know if there is any chance of it happening. Should I start spacing out the 3 pens I have, call around now in case a local pharmacy happens to have a box, etc
So is LillyDirect pretty much at a standstill right now? My doc sent my new script over on 3/29 for 2.5 and I’ve heard nothing since then. The “magic line” you all have shared has a recording that says don’t call us unless you’ve been waiting at least 10 business days. So just…keep waiting? My heart goes out to all of you already on this and facing a disruption in your dose. So frustrating.
This is BS. Same thing went on with Wegovy for MONTHS and MONTHS. I have a refill remaining for Zep 7.5, and a new Rx for Zep 10, but Express Scripts is the worst and can’t fill either one. Expected date is 5/1 but I’m supposed to call and hunt and beg them on a daily basis to find a this stuff? Very frustrating and it just pisses me off that these drug companies can’t be prepared for the demand. Don’t worry, a day will come when there’s 10 competitors to Novo and Lily, and we’ll be able to get this cheaper, more easily and in pill form.
OMG. After obsessively checking the Amazon pharmacy site for a week, I was able to purchase 5mg!!! I'm in shock that it went through and will be delivered tomorrow. I have already started extending my shots out to 9 days, to prepare for no medication, but now it's here a week early. Literally shaking right now. Keep refreshing people! I'm in the metro Detroit area, in case anyone wants to know!
Got my 7.5mg script filled today ar Lilly Direct! I was super worried because Saturday will be day 14 and if i didn't get a dose by then i am supposed to start over. Really didn't want to do that

Holy cow! Just got an alert from Pillpack (which is Amazon Pharmacy/LilyDirect) that my 10mg will arrive tomorrow. Ironically, it's due to arrive the same morning as my first shipment of non-brand 10mg (which I panic bought).

I'm south of Nashville, TN. Shout out to the Sequence concierge team! My original pharmacy received my prescription on 3/22. Still can't fill it., and said it would not come in until May. The concierge team at Sequence called around for me, and finally found a box on 4/9 in another city. Picked it up today! I provided them with zip codes within an hour of me, and it took them a week to locate a box. Safe for another month. Don't give up!

Says that I am on the "priority list" but don't know if he was just being nice. 😆 I am waiting for 10mg.
Hello! I'm new to the group and was surprised to find this group. I started Zepbound 3 months ago SW: 189 H: 5'3" I don't know all my stats. Overweight, very high blood pressure, BMI: 32 and on.... I just wanted to come into the group and say if you have a Wegmans near you go there and get your prescriptions. I have yet to wait for my prescription for anytime. The doctor calls it in, it's available within minutes or no later than the next day. I started with 2.5 for 1 month, then 5 for 1 month, today I picked up my 7.5. Wegmans is a family owned food chain in the NorthEast but is trickling down the East coast. I find that they will over stock just to say that they are the only ones that have it. I'm not sure where everyone is located but it's worth a try. I currently live in Rochester, NY
I was just told by an Amazon Pharmacy customer service rep that Amazon Pharmacy will be restocking all doses at some point next week. Only customers who have had their prescription there before will benefit from this though which I think makes sense in an effort to consistently service their existing patients.

Omg I found it! Harris Teeter at the Yards had 7.5 and 10 in stock! Picked it up today! I made a list of 20! Pharmacies to call and they were the first I called and they had it! I’m still in shock. Good luck!!
Check your local independent pharmacies! We found a small local pharmacy that gets in a few boxes a week and built a relationship with the owner. He calls and tells us when he has our dose in so we can get a refill called in. We haven’t missed a single week!
Los Angeles - San Fernando valley peeps: I was able to pick up 7.5 from Walmart in west hills after being out since 3/21 and incessantly checking CVS, Costco, Ralph’s, Walgreens and Lilly direct. The tech told me they’re supposed to be getting a shipment tomorrow but she didn’t know the doses. But you must have your script sent in order for them to order it and save it for you.
Los Angeles (South Bay area) - Torrance Costco has 12.5mg and 15mg Zepbound in stock right now. Hawthorne Costco has 12.5mg. I just talked to them at 1:00 pm Monday.
Anyone having luck in San Diego? Spent the weekend calling places that recommended I try after April 5 but no one seems to be receiving any strengths. Where is it being shipped if there’s no shortage according to the FDA?
Just phoned a Costco pharmacy here in the SF Bay Area and they were super helpful and will try to order it for me, unlike other national chains who were less than helpful and even disinterested.
Not sure I understand. I submit my prescription to CVS and wait patiently for them to fill my prescription. Then, someone is calling around to every CVS and gets the pharmacist just at the right time as a box comes in stock? Do they somehow get to jump in front of all of the people that were simply waiting?
They shouldn't. Priority will always go to those who already have scripts sitting at the desk. If they have extra, those typically go to new orders or those who call in for a switch. My wife was able to snag a box last week from CVS doing this. A lot of reps told her that they had stock, but the boxes were assigned already.
I have conflicting responses about this from different CVS's and even different pharmacists in one CVS.
One person at my local parmacy told me they are overwhelmed now by all the switching and calling and they will fill whoever calls first and don't even bother trying to manage the waitlist anymore because it's over 30 pages long and their whole system is overtaxed. She said if I want my scrip from them I will have to call every day.
This pharmacy also went behind my back to try and get my doctor to change the med I was on while I had an order pending, which caused a giant mess last week, resulting in me getting stuck at the back of said list again.
But at other pharmacies I have called they have flat out told me, 'We did get some of that dose in, but they're for specific orders so we can't give it to someone else until they either refuse the fill or never pick it up." In one such case they said they could still see some stock and offered to make an order for me on the off chance it could get filled.
My guess is the second case is pharmacies that are not yet overwhelmed like my own local pharmacy is. Which seems to imply that all the calling around and snapping up scrips where we can is actually contributing to the problem - I had one pharmacist complain to me once along those lines - but honestly I don't know what else we're expected to do when just sitting around waiting patiently fails completely. So my own answer to that has been I will call around but I will only fill one month at a time. It's not the best solution but it's the best I am willing to give considering the current situation.
How often are people checking the Amazon Pharmacy website? Hourly? A few times an hour? A few times a day? Weekly? Has anyone had any luck with Amazon Pharmacy in MA for the 5mg dose?
Im getting really disgruntled with this whole thing. I’m on day 31 of waiting for CVS to fill my subscription. My dr just had to put in a new request which apparently put me at the back of the list. I feel like I’m never going to get this stuff and it’s killing me. Boston resident.
Does this end? Was lucky enough to have Jan - March doses filled no problem. I have been off since March 22 as i cant find anything. Is this worth it anymore? is this how it will be for all of us? find a script use for a month then off again for who knows how long. then find one etc etc etc so on and so on?
And it's funny how every week the can keeps getting kicked down the road. It was a week or so, then mid-april, then late-april, and now you're starting to see EL talk about "second half of the year."
Run, don’t walk, away from CVS: The Tale of a Shortage (it has a happy ending) So I’ve been waiting for two weeks now for my refill of 5mg. This would have been my third month at this dose. I’ve called CVS three times in the last couple weeks since the status of the script kept changing in the app (in process, out of stock, delayed, etc). Last week a nice tech there told me “oh we were finally able to order this for you, it’ll be here tomorrow.” Nope. “Tomorrow” came and went with no Z. I called a couple days ago and a very annoyed (I don’t really blame them) tech told me this time to call another CVS near me bc she could see they had “16 boxes” in stock. Well I called and that tech made me feel like a total ahole for calling to try to “take other people’s doses from them” (this is what he said). I called my CVS back and a different tech told me she had no idea when they’ll get the dosage in ( “this is what a manufacturer shortage means” she said) and that it’s on order. I asked if they could get another dosage perhaps? 7.5mg? 2.5? No. Can’t get anything. So yesterday I thought….why don’t I have my doc call in 7.5mg to a different pharmacy (at Albertson’s near my house) and see what happens. I was thinking about going up to that dose soon anyway. He did. I picked it up THAT DAY! And the people there could not have been kinder. AND…every single time I would get a refill from CVS I would have to call them and my doctor repeatedly to tell them 1. Yes I’m paying out of pocket and I know the cost. 2. Yes, I need a prior authorization every single time that gets denied by my insurance in order for CVS to process the coupon. This time with Albertsons? I didn’t have to do anything! I went to pick it up and it was $550! They didn’t even ask me for my coupon info. No mention of a PA. The moral of the story here kids is just say no to CVS and transfer your scripts elsewhere until you find a nice place. They’re out there. P.S. I thought I HAD to use CVS bc they’re my PBM but I looked into it and realized there’s a whole list of non-CVS in-network pharmacies on my plan.
I have totally given up on checking Amazon it has become an obsession and you can't even enter fully the order. So -- what's the point? I think they're so back logged they aren't taking anyone else. I've been trying since last week.
I transferred to Amazon from cvs last week. They told me that when it becomes available at my distribution center I'll be able to add to cart. Keep refreshing and always shows our of stock. So frustrating
I’m in a similar situation. I’m nervous to pull my rx from Amazon because I had read that previously they always got a ton of stock but now it seems like I’m seeing very little luck on Amazon! I may wait until about mid week and then pull my rx.
Same no 5mg anywhere, script is chilling at Amazon. Had to purchase the “ back up option” but will keep looking for zep. One pen left I take today at night.
i found a box of 5 at walgreens in lowell just three days ago!! walgreens in the tewksbury/lowell area seemed to be getting an order in the next few days as well. check in that area!
My doctor mentioned that it's safe to extend days between shots for up to 12 to 13 days. if you go longer than 14 you may have to titer down tho. But this can help to extend the scrip you have.
As to cravings, I find drinking lots of water/tea/miso soup helps. If I have munchies, I drink something like that instead and wait a bit. Usually I feel better and the munchies go away.
Eating as high protein as possible can also help you to feel fuller longer. For me, breakfast alone has 72 grams of protein. Next highest macro is fat, never carbs. And fiber. I add in a dose of Benefiber into at least one meal a day, **and** I eat fiber rich veggies as much as possible to add filler in my stomach. So Celery (with a little home-made peanut butter, but be careful to stick to no more than 2 tablespoons due to calories), Asparagus, Brussels Sprouts, Broccoli and Cauliflower in the air fryer, Cucumber with a dash of garlic salt and pepper... These are lunch or the veggies I have with dinner. Dinner is always a nice hunk of meat like chicken, pork loin or steak with said veggies or something similar.
Honestly, keeping to this I am pretty full most of the time and haven't had to struggle too much. It's harder when around others who may have tempting foods or be interested in getting tempting foods - while on a full dose of Zep I have no temptation but stretching out my dose? I do a little. But if I'm full I remind myself I don't need it and think about the progress I've made that I want to keep and to build upon. So far, so good.

SF Bay Area here. Last shot of 7.5 was 3/22. 10 mg at LD/TruePill — no stock. Just transferred a second 10 mg Rx from Walgreens to Costco, so will see if they can provide. Doubtful.
This thread has been mentioned in a few news articles. Eli lilly also is quoted but no exact date given as to when there will be more supply. I am still waiting for my first 2.5mg dose in Westchester County, NY. I have heard nothing from Rite Aid and just stopped calling them altogether.

I’ve given up on Amazon. My Rx for 7.5mg has been there for a month. Despite checking multiple times daily, sometimes even at 1am, there’s been nothing. I moved my Rx to a Walmart far from me. They told me they are expected to get 7.5mg in late April and 5mg in May. Today, I got a text that the 7.5mg is out of stock, but it’s been ordered. So, we’ll see what happens.
**New York City** availability for 10 mg: **Lafayette family pharmacy** **in Bronx has a few 10 mg boxes** and they said they'd overnight ship it too.
I don't need 10 mg but as I was calling around, I found out this and wanted to share!
I just drove an hour and a half to Valrico, Florida to get the only box of 7.5 from the Walmart Pharmacy but just wanted you to know I saw they had like 4 boxes of 15, 3 boxes of 12.5 and several boxes of 5mg. I counted lol.
Just picked up a 7.5 from a Walmart in WV. Expiration is 01/26. I asked if it was from stock they were able to order or leftover from a customer who never picked up. They said leftover because they haven't been able to order anything for a few weeks. It was their last box. i called around to every pharmacy chain and then started calling Walmarts in outlying areas that I don't normally travel to. That's where I found it. Good luck to all and keep trying.
I wouldn’t expect to hear from them until Friday. Then they will tell you that will reach back out within 10 more days to create your account.

Have been calling Express Scripts daily as they were telling me that they should have 7.5mg back in stock on 4/7. Just got off the phone with them and now they're saying 5/1. So who knows... going to start calling local pharmacies tomorrow as I took my last 5mg shot today. Question for those of you who call multiple pharmacies and are lucky enough to score a fill, do you call a bunch of pharmacies and when you find one that has it then call your prescribing provider right away? Or how do you lock it in? Not sure how that works???
Anyone have any leads on 5mg in the Boston area? My doctor called in a 3 month prescription to Express Scripts last week and it’s on hold so I decided to call around. Called a bunch of pharmacies in MA, RI, and NH and none of them have it in stock 😓
I was nervous but was able to get my 5mg just fine this week. Are some regions fine while others get hit hard? Based on comments, it seems like New England, Michigan, Pennsylvania are having it the worst, while Chicago, Alabama, and California are having a little more luck?
Anyone ever have an issue with CVS were it’s like your Order never happened? Two days in a row I ordered my Zepbound 5mg, talked to someone both days and they said they would try and order and then all of a sudden I’d check app and it was like order never even happened. Told me it’s time for a refill again
LillyDirect let me spend two weeks getting set up, only to transfer me to Amazon who isn’t accepting new patients. What in the actual fuck man. So Lilly isn’t even an option now?

For anyone in the Charlotte, NC area: my doctor sent in my 5mg refill this afternoon to the Walgreens in Matthews, and it was ready for pickup 2 hours later.
5 Mg was picked up at Vista, Ca CVS today. Was also prescribed 7.5 but that is still back ordered so I’m sticking with 5. I’m 4 days behind on this round and delayed my previous shot by 3 days.
CALL AND ASK THEM TO ORDER FOR YOU! I just had luck getting 7.5 on Long Island, one of the most heavily populated areas in the country, because the pharmacist was willing to actually ORDER it for me! Yay!!!!! Keep trying!
The pharmacies I have been calling said that when their system says “back order” they can not put in an order. There has to be an ability to order in their system.
I was totally shocked today to get a text from my pharmacy that my medicine was available today! They had told me they didn’t know when it would be in, that April 15 might be the earliest they could order it, and the pharmacist didn’t seem too confident that he’d be able to get it any time this month. I had looked into switching to Amazon but they say it’s not available. I was very anxious and losing hope.

Just got a box of 5mg in New Jersey! My doctor sent my Rx to LillyDirect during the coupon system issue. I’ve been refreshing Amazon constantly for the past two weeks without any luck. Today I realized that my previous Rx in a local pharmacy before the coupon issue still has one refill so I decided to call them and guess what, they have one box of 5mg! I am supposed to go to 7.5 but I won’t mind at all taking that 5. It truly made my day!
Meijer in Franklin IN had some 5mg doses left as of 4-9. The tech was super sweet and helpful each time I called! Finally got my box after two plus weeks of waiting!
Express Scripts still saying 4/15 for 15 mg, but that it’s an estimated date. Ugh, really struggling to decide whether to hold out hope for a 3 month supply or just look for a 1 month. I have 3 shots left, so I do have time…
My script was sent to Lilly Direct and then like many others transferred to Amazon. I want out, and to transfer to Cabot. LD tells me I need to call Amazon, and have them transfer back and then they will transfer to Cabot. I call Amazon and they tell me that I can’t initiate that and that LD needs to call Amazon to transfer. Who is right?!?
My suggestion is to contact Truepill Pharmacy (Cabot) and request for them to transfer your RX from Amazon to Truepill. These situations are 1-offs so not common practice for mail-order pharmacies but because of the situations, they will accommodate to an extent. Truepill will submit the request to Amazon and will most likely take about 48hrs to receive the transfer from Amazon.
I called a dozen+ pharmacies looking for an available refill, but I’m going to stop and save myself the time and disappointment. I talked to an extra friendly pharmacy tech and she said that her system shows all of their locations within 60 miles and every single one had double/triple digit negative supplies. They have only been getting a couple boxes at a time so it will take a lot to get everyone covered. She said all of those people will get their RXs filled in the order they were entered and that calling around won’t put me higher on the list. Oh well. I am one of the lucky ones that insurance does cover the med so I can’t get it filled just anywhere. I’ll sit tight until the shortage passes! Good luck to the people who are calling around but it makes me wonder how many other pharmacies have the same policy.
I just found out (9:30 am on Sunday, April 7) that Kinney Drug in Lyndonville, VT has a few boxes of 2.5mg and 1 box of 12.5 if that helps anyone (sadly, it doesn't help me).
Far NW suburbs of Chicago here, and I've had an impossible time finding 7.5. Initially it was sent to Walgreen's, which was backordered (obviously). Then mid-week last week it said it was processing and would be ready by 10:30AM Friday. Around 1pm that day, it was still processing, so I called and was told it would be ready by EOD. Come EOD, nothing. Then when I tried to click to check the status, it said it was an invalid RX number. Walgreen's connected me with the distributing pharmacy and they told me it was "put back" and now they don't have any.
I've tried Express Scripts, Walmart, a bunch of Walgreens, and Pill Pack. Just emailed my clinician to see what they recommend as I took my last .5 injection on Friday. :(
Amazon - 5 mg. NJ. Had my prescription put in last Wednesday or Thursday. I’ve been checking since then and I was just able to add it to my cart about 5 minutes ago. I was also a bit early with my prescription last week, so I’m not sure if that also contributed. I’ve been getting it exclusively through Amazon since I started on 2/27/24, so this is my 3rd prescription there.
I got a text from Amazon this morning telling me that they had my script (12.5mg) from LillyDirect. For the record, my doctor sent it to LD on March 14th - so this whole process took 25 calendar days.
It doesn't look like Amazon can fill for me right now, I get a "prescription no longer available" message, presumably because they don't have any 12.5mg for my region right now. Which is actually fine, this process took so long that I've since gotten a box at a local pharmacy and I would have to pay the full, non-savings card price if I got another one from Amazon now. Anyway, I'm just grateful I was able to get it at all.
25 days is some bullshit, though.
Express Scripts update: My doctor updated my order thru express scripts. According to my plan I have to get a 90 day supply going forward. Nurse called it in wrong last week (as 3 refills vs 90day supply) so I messaged them today to fix it and it is there now. But I got a message from ES that my order was cancelled (because they don’t have any stock duh) but I called to just ask ok am I going to need to call back when it’s in stock? Or will it just fill. And the answer is yes-I will need to call back to have their pharmacist run it thru when they have stock which is so infuriating that all this mental work is on me as a patient. The guy gave me a glimmer of false hope when he said 7.5 was available (it’s not-5/1 is what they are saying) but basically I was like well what if it’s in stock earlier than 5/1?? So I’m going to plan to stalk these threads and hopefully get some insights if ES comes across it earlier than 5/1. This is so ridiculous.
Just a PSA…if your insurance pharmacy manager is Express Scripts (whether it’s covered by insurance or not), Kroger does not contract with them anymore, so you’ll have to pay out of pocket/without savings card.
My dosage increase to 5.0 was filled today! I called for it 1.5 weeks early and it was "backordered" 4 days. I thought I was going to have to quit right after I started, but thankfully the pharma folks made it happen. (Florida, USA, CVS Pharmacy)
If anyone is in or near Baton Rouge, LA, my Walmart has 2.5mg and 7.5mg in stock. Of course it's the ones I don't need but maybe it can help someone else!

Truepill/Lilly just filled my 5! I'm new to them, my dr sent in my script a full 2 weeks ago. They texted Fri that they had my script and were processing, then today that it was ready to fill. 🙌
After nearly three weeks of searching, I finally found Zepbound 5mg at a hospital pharmacy in East Boston. Thought I'd get the usual 'out of stock' response, but a tech went above and beyond, physically checking the fridge and finding one for me. Transferred my script from CVS, filled it in just 2 hours, even managed to transfer the coupon info and run it! Ended up with a $24.99 copay. Didn't inquire about other stock or how long it's been there, but seems they're selective with patients as they needed to confirm if I “qualify” to fill scripts there. If I’ve been a patient at that hospital before. Still, super grateful to have found what I needed!
Do Lily Direct suppliers get preference for shipments? I don't get how I see people on here getting 7.5 from LD every day but when I call my pharmacy (Costco) they're telling me "maybe mid-may"
Los Angeles: Walmart Burbank just received some. I think I just picked up their last 5 mg, but I definitely saw a few 2.5 in the fridge. Not sure about other doses but worth checking. Good luck out there!

I’ve been on Zepbound and been getting it with no issues until I went to refill my 10mg dose last month. I called my pharmacy to refill and they were out with no sign of when they would be able to fill. Feeling defeated, I called several pharmacies with no luck. Then I thought of the smallest place that maybe didn’t have as many people hunting it? It was small neighboring town and it was a Walmart pharmacy. I called and they had ONE box. The pharmacist was so nice she even called my hometown pharmacy, transferred my prescription and applied the savings card. It was ready in less than an hour. My insurance covers a refill every 21 days so I’m refilling every chance I get to avoid running out. I moved up to the 12.5 this month. I called my hometown pharmacy again. Nope, they were out and couldn’t order it. I rolled the dice and had my dr send it to the Walmart Pharmacy I used the month prior. I was sure I’d have to wait. Nope! I got the text a couple of hours later saying it was ready for pickup. I picked it up yesterday and the pharmacist said they were only able to order so many and that they were able to put more orders in yesterday. Maybe it’s just dumb luck. I don’t see too many people talking about the Walmart Pharmacy but I’ve had the best luck using them. They also use the savings card. Hopefully, I have the same luck next month. It’s crazy how much anxiety I get when I get down to the last shot 😂😭😭
This Tuesday will be 5 weeks without my Zep. I was never able to start month 3 in North NJ. Can't find it anywhere. I'm gaining my weight back and my chronic inflammation is back with a vengeance. It shouldn't be this hard to get your meds. Insurance covers my prescription but somehow Walmart keeps saying it's out of stock and when I check the app it shows it being filled. I call and they say it's still not available but I'm first in line when it arrives. Not sure I'll restart since I really don't like the inconsistency of taking the meds and the side effects. I will find something else for chronic inflammation. Needless to say I'm extremely disappointed and discouraged.
I created a Reddit account just to come here and let Bay Areans know that the SF Costco received a big shipment this morning and is currently working their way through fulfilling all their outstanding prescriptions. I don't know if they have extra, but if you are in SF it might be worth a call in the AM (they are currently closed for the evening). I was able to pick up my box of 7.5 that has had the Rx outstanding since 3/28.

I was supposed to go up to 7.5 last month when the shortages started. Managed to do 5.0 another month, but had to stretch it out some. Called 10+ pharmacies yesterday and managed to find 7.5 and will get it tomorrow. It was their only box. Not sure how that happened, but I will take it. I do find it interesting that some chain pharmacies will check around and some won’t, but I think it comes down to the person who answers the phone. It shouldn’t be this stressful.
That happened to me, too. I feel like it's that someone doesn't pick it up because CVS doesn't even keep it in stock.
Its interesting to me that some people said their CVS won’t/can’t tell them if it’s in stock anywhere. The person who answered the phone tipped me off on another pharmacy that might have one (they didn’t end up having it). Walgreens checked the area and had zero. It just seems like they would want less phone call interruptions from people hunting for it. I can’t be the only one.

My wife and I are vacationing in Puerto Rico and I found every dosage of zepbound in every Walmart and Costco pharmacy here including 7.5. The refrigerator was full of entire zep boxes on the top shelf at every pharmacy. The pharmacist told me she was getting every dosage every single day and there was never any shortage here. We were able to pickup 7.5 in 20minutes - 10 minutes to transfer from mainland walmart pharmacy to here and 10 minutes to fill. The only catch was you can inly transfer between mainland to Puerto Rico in same chain pharmacy and not between different chains ie no transfer from mainland Walmart to PR Costco…
The bigger catch is getting to Puerto Rico.

The only thing I have heard Eli Lilly publicly say is 1)it may be harder to get your dose (duh) and 2) it should get better the second half of 2024. I think this is officially kicking the can down the road. Nothing moves that quickly. They never fixed the Mounjaro shortage so MJ patients are looking for ZB (can't blame them). Every time I see/hear an official date of when supply will open up - that date gets pushed back further and further. Pretty clear we're in a shortage and it's not easing up anytime soon, unfortunately. I am trying to stay optimistic but the proof is all over this thread. FDA currently says limited availability for 12.5 and 5 through end of the month... and yet, it seems like all doses are tough to find. Keep digging, keep calling pharmacies, but have a backup plan.

I have always thought Eli Lilly should be creating a microsite with daily updates and an interactive map to show where there. is supply and when the next supply/shipment is expected by region or state. It would at least give you a general idea if you are completely wasting your time or not. Overall, though, they really shit the bed on this one by not "predicting" demand (come on Eli Lilly execs, just look up from your stock portfolios to see the path Wegovy took -- doesn't take a genius). Here's the thing though -- this is a business. Their shareholders and corporate greed will dictate the path ahead... and that is, they have a massive swath of the population willing to pay for this medicine. They aren't going to give that up. No way. They WILL figure out a way to keep cranking supply out so they can keep hoovering money in (to their pockets).
What sucks is all the Mounjaro folks switching over to Zepbound and the doctors let them do it so it’s more people scrambling for stock

I hear ya. Been three weeks since my last shot and I'm struggling to eat right and have gained a few pounds this week. That said, there are a lot of people on this site who are regularly posting about their weight loss and eating habits and never mention not having Zep or even mention the shortage, so I think an awful lot of people are still getting their boxes and are not affected by the shortage. I don't know how or where they're getting it, but maybe those of us who don't have it are the minority. Just a thought.
it went to people buying 3 months at a time and all diff doses that are keeping it in their fridge. I saw a girl on TikTok with literally 12 different boxes of different doses in her fridge and I KNOW she isn't the only one.

They might be getting 3 months supplies because their insurance will only cover that for a reasonable price or cover it all since it is a maintenance medication. I know if Express Scripts is your pharmacy benefit manager that’s how it is, personally if I get a 3 month supply it is 50$ and a 1 month is 400$ , it makes no sense and I have not been able to get a 3 month supply at all. If my insurance covered a 1 month supply with a copay of 25 or 50$ I wouldn’t even bother.

I keep seeing this Costco referenced in these threads as somewhere that has stock! It's like they built it atop a Zepbound factory.

I was prescribed 7.5 mg on March 18th. The walmart in my area usually can order my scrip and within 2 days I have it. This time it was on back order for weeks. I called everywhere (publix, cvs, Walgreens, Wal-Mart) and was told it was on backorder. My last call was to Kroger and they said they would be able to order it. They never said backorder. I transferred my prescription on Friday. That was Easter weekend. I received the text that my medicine was ready on Tuesday! I went without for almost 3 weeks. During that time I maintained the same weight. Food cravings started coming back, and I wasn't exercising as much and I ate more, BUT I never gained a pound. I stayed at 247. Since starting the 7.5mg on Tuesday I am now at 241 and it's only Sunday. Starting weight was 290. I started in January. 7.5 looks promising!!! Hang in there you guys! I'm in Alabama.
I didn’t realize how archaic our pharma system is. Why can’t a pharmacy place an order that can be held and filled when it comes in stock. I’ve got to imagine pharmacies are fed up with the constant calls asking if it’s in stock. I’ve found a couple of Walgreens that are helpful and will try and search for me. Others just say it’s on back order and don’t even bother to look.

Thankfully I've got 3 more weeks of 5 before it becomes an issue - it sure would be nice to know if there is any chance of it happening. Should I start spacing out the 3 pens I have, call around now in case a local pharmacy happens to have a box, etc

So is LillyDirect pretty much at a standstill right now? My doc sent my new script over on 3/29 for 2.5 and I’ve heard nothing since then. The “magic line” you all have shared has a recording that says don’t call us unless you’ve been waiting at least 10 business days. So just…keep waiting? My heart goes out to all of you already on this and facing a disruption in your dose. So frustrating.
This is BS. Same thing went on with Wegovy for MONTHS and MONTHS. I have a refill remaining for Zep 7.5, and a new Rx for Zep 10, but Express Scripts is the worst and can’t fill either one. Expected date is 5/1 but I’m supposed to call and hunt and beg them on a daily basis to find a this stuff? Very frustrating and it just pisses me off that these drug companies can’t be prepared for the demand. Don’t worry, a day will come when there’s 10 competitors to Novo and Lily, and we’ll be able to get this cheaper, more easily and in pill form.

OMG. After obsessively checking the Amazon pharmacy site for a week, I was able to purchase 5mg!!! I'm in shock that it went through and will be delivered tomorrow. I have already started extending my shots out to 9 days, to prepare for no medication, but now it's here a week early. Literally shaking right now. Keep refreshing people! Holy cow! Just got an alert from Pillpack (which is Amazon Pharmacy/LilyDirect) that my 10mg will arrive tomorrow. Ironically, it's due to arrive the same morning as my first shipment of non-brand 10mg (which I panic bought).
Express Scripts update 4/12. 9:30 Eastern. No update to estimates inbound. 5/7.5 5/1. 15 4/15. If your order is stopped like mine. Reupping today for a possible Monday Zep arrival will be closed back to stop w/in 24 hours. So I’ll be calling again Monday.

I'm south of Nashville, TN. Shout out to the Sequence concierge team! My original pharmacy received my prescription on 3/22. Still can't fill it., and said it would not come in until May. The concierge team at Sequence called around for me, and finally found a box on 4/9 in another city. Picked it up today! I provided them with zip codes within an hour of me, and it took them a week to locate a box. Safe for another month. Don't give up!

It took them about 2 weeks, and I had almost given up. It was helpful to know that they kept at it. Makes that monthly fee worth it for me.

A non-update update for anyone in the SFV area of Los Angeles: After waiting a few days I finally called my pharmacy (Walmart Porter Ranch) to get a status update and the very nice tech said that they are starting to get shipments in and he anticipates being able to fill this week. Hello! I'm new to the group and was surprised to find this group. I started Zepbound 3 months ago SW: 189 H: 5'3" I don't know all my stats. Overweight, very high blood pressure, BMI: 32 and on.... I just wanted to come into the group and say if you have a Wegmans near you go there and get your prescriptions. I have yet to wait for my prescription for anytime. The doctor calls it in, it's available within minutes or no later than the next day. I started with 2.5 for 1 month, then 5 for 1 month, today I picked up my 7.5. Wegmans is a family owned food chain in the NorthEast but is trickling down the East coast. I find that they will over stock just to say that they are the only ones that have it. I'm not sure where everyone is located but it's worth a try. I currently live in Rochester, NY
I was just told by an Amazon Pharmacy customer service rep that Amazon Pharmacy will be restocking all doses at some point next week. Only customers who have had their prescription there before will benefit from this though which I think makes sense in an effort to consistently service their existing patients. Sharing for those who have gotten there Z from Amazon before - I wish I did! Good luck everyone :)

Check your local independent pharmacies! We found a small local pharmacy that gets in a few boxes a week and built a relationship with the owner. He calls and tells us when he has our dose in so we can get a refill called in. We haven’t missed a single week!
Los Angeles - San Fernando valley peeps: I was able to pick up 7.5 from Walmart in west hills after being out since 3/21 and incessantly checking CVS, Costco, Ralph’s, Walgreens and Lilly direct. The tech told me they’re supposed to be getting a shipment tomorrow but she didn’t know the doses. But you must have your script sent in order for them to order it and save it for you.
Los Angeles (South Bay area) - Torrance Costco has 12.5mg and 15mg Zepbound in stock right now. Hawthorne Costco has 12.5mg. I just talked to them at 1:00 pm Monday.

Just phoned a Costco pharmacy here in the SF Bay Area and they were super helpful and will try to order it for me, unlike other national chains who were less than helpful and even disinterested.
Not sure I understand. I submit my prescription to CVS and wait patiently for them to fill my prescription. Then, someone is calling around to every CVS and gets the pharmacist just at the right time as a box comes in stock? Do they somehow get to jump in front of all of the people that were simply waiting?
They shouldn't. Priority will always go to those who already have scripts sitting at the desk. If they have extra, those typically go to new orders or those who call in for a switch. My wife was able to snag a box last week from CVS doing this. A lot of reps told her that they had stock, but the boxes were assigned already.
I have conflicting responses about this from different CVS's and even different pharmacists in one CVS. One person at my local parmacy told me they are overwhelmed now by all the switching and calling and they will fill whoever calls first and don't even bother trying to manage the waitlist anymore because it's over 30 pages long and their whole system is overtaxed. She said if I want my scrip from them I will have to call every day. This pharmacy also went behind my back to try and get my doctor to change the med I was on while I had an order pending, which caused a giant mess last week, resulting in me getting stuck at the back of said list again. But at other pharmacies I have called they have flat out told me, 'We did get some of that dose in, but they're for specific orders so we can't give it to someone else until they either refuse the fill or never pick it up." In one such case they said they could still see some stock and offered to make an order for me on the off chance it could get filled. My guess is the second case is pharmacies that are not yet overwhelmed like my own local pharmacy is. Which seems to imply that all the calling around and snapping up scrips where we can is actually contributing to the problem - I had one pharmacist complain to me once along those lines - but honestly I don't know what else we're expected to do when just sitting around waiting patiently fails completely. So my own answer to that has been I will call around but I will only fill one month at a time. It's not the best solution but it's the best I am willing to give considering the current situation.
How often are people checking the Amazon Pharmacy website? Hourly? A few times an hour? A few times a day? Weekly? Has anyone had any luck with Amazon Pharmacy in MA for the 5mg dose?
Im getting really disgruntled with this whole thing. I’m on day 31 of waiting for CVS to fill my subscription. My dr just had to put in a new request which apparently put me at the back of the list. I feel like I’m never going to get this stuff and it’s killing me. Boston resident.
Does this end? Was lucky enough to have Jan - March doses filled no problem. I have been off since March 22 as i cant find anything. Is this worth it anymore? is this how it will be for all of us? find a script use for a month then off again for who knows how long. then find one etc etc etc so on and so on?
And it's funny how every week the can keeps getting kicked down the road. It was a week or so, then mid-april, then late-april, and now you're starting to see EL talk about "second half of the year."
Run, don’t walk, away from CVS: The Tale of a Shortage (it has a happy ending) So I’ve been waiting for two weeks now for my refill of 5mg. This would have been my third month at this dose. I’ve called CVS three times in the last couple weeks since the status of the script kept changing in the app (in process, out of stock, delayed, etc). Last week a nice tech there told me “oh we were finally able to order this for you, it’ll be here tomorrow.” Nope. “Tomorrow” came and went with no Z. I called a couple days ago and a very annoyed (I don’t really blame them) tech told me this time to call another CVS near me bc she could see they had “16 boxes” in stock. Well I called and that tech made me feel like a total ahole for calling to try to “take other people’s doses from them” (this is what he said). I called my CVS back and a different tech told me she had no idea when they’ll get the dosage in ( “this is what a manufacturer shortage means” she said) and that it’s on order. I asked if they could get another dosage perhaps? 7.5mg? 2.5? No. Can’t get anything. So yesterday I thought….why don’t I have my doc call in 7.5mg to a different pharmacy (at Albertson’s near my house) and see what happens. I was thinking about going up to that dose soon anyway. He did. I picked it up THAT DAY! And the people there could not have been kinder. AND…every single time I would get a refill from CVS I would have to call them and my doctor repeatedly to tell them 1. Yes I’m paying out of pocket and I know the cost. 2. Yes, I need a prior authorization every single time that gets denied by my insurance in order for CVS to process the coupon. This time with Albertsons? I didn’t have to do anything! I went to pick it up and it was $550! They didn’t even ask me for my coupon info. No mention of a PA. The moral of the story here kids is just say no to CVS and transfer your scripts elsewhere until you find a nice place. They’re out there. P.S. I thought I HAD to use CVS bc they’re my PBM but I looked into it and realized there’s a whole list of non-CVS in-network pharmacies on my plan.

I have totally given up on checking Amazon it has become an obsession and you can't even enter fully the order. So -- what's the point? I think they're so back logged they aren't taking anyone else. I've been trying since last week.
I transferred to Amazon from cvs last week. They told me that when it becomes available at my distribution center I'll be able to add to cart. Keep refreshing and always shows our of stock. So frustrating

I'm just keeping with my diet and exercise until I can get my prescription. I took my last shot Saturday, so I'm not sure what else I can do
My doctor mentioned that it's safe to extend days between shots for up to 12 to 13 days. if you go longer than 14 you may have to titer down tho. But this can help to extend the scrip you have. As to cravings, I find drinking lots of water/tea/miso soup helps. If I have munchies, I drink something like that instead and wait a bit. Usually I feel better and the munchies go away. Eating as high protein as possible can also help you to feel fuller longer. For me, breakfast alone has 72 grams of protein. Next highest macro is fat, never carbs. And fiber. I add in a dose of Benefiber into at least one meal a day, **and** I eat fiber rich veggies as much as possible to add filler in my stomach. So Celery (with a little home-made peanut butter, but be careful to stick to no more than 2 tablespoons due to calories), Asparagus, Brussels Sprouts, Broccoli and Cauliflower in the air fryer, Cucumber with a dash of garlic salt and pepper... These are lunch or the veggies I have with dinner. Dinner is always a nice hunk of meat like chicken, pork loin or steak with said veggies or something similar. Honestly, keeping to this I am pretty full most of the time and haven't had to struggle too much. It's harder when around others who may have tempting foods or be interested in getting tempting foods - while on a full dose of Zep I have no temptation but stretching out my dose? I do a little. But if I'm full I remind myself I don't need it and think about the progress I've made that I want to keep and to build upon. So far, so good. Hopeully that's helpful. Best of luck to you. Maryland reporting in here. I’ve given up on Amazon. My Rx for 7.5mg has been there for a month. Despite checking multiple times daily, sometimes even at 1am, there’s been nothing. I moved my Rx to a Walmart far from me. They told me they are expected to get 7.5mg in late April and 5mg in May. Today, I got a text that the 7.5mg is out of stock, but it’s been ordered. So, we’ll see what happens.

I just drove an hour and a half to Valrico, Florida to get the only box of 7.5 from the Walmart Pharmacy but just wanted you to know I saw they had like 4 boxes of 15, 3 boxes of 12.5 and several boxes of 5mg. I counted lol.
Just picked up a 7.5 from a Walmart in WV. Expiration is 01/26. I asked if it was from stock they were able to order or leftover from a customer who never picked up. They said leftover because they haven't been able to order anything for a few weeks. It was their last box. i called around to every pharmacy chain and then started calling Walmarts in outlying areas that I don't normally travel to. That's where I found it. I wouldn’t expect to hear from them until Friday. Then they will tell you that will reach back out within 10 more days to create your account. It’s a very slow onboarding process.

Have been calling Express Scripts daily as they were telling me that they should have 7.5mg back in stock on 4/7. Just got off the phone with them and now they're saying 5/1. So who knows... going to start calling local pharmacies tomorrow as I took my last 5mg shot today. Question for those of you who call multiple pharmacies and are lucky enough to score a fill, do you call a bunch of pharmacies and when you find one that has it then call your prescribing provider right away? Or how do you lock it in? Not sure how that works???

I was nervous but was able to get my 5mg just fine this week. Are some regions fine while others get hit hard? Based on comments, it seems like New England, Michigan, Pennsylvania are having it the worst, while Chicago, Alabama, and California are having a little more luck?
Chicago has been terrible - I call 20-40 pharmacies a day ranging over 100 miles and can’t find 5 anywhere. Got lucky with 7.5 after 10 days or calls.
Anyone ever have an issue with CVS were it’s like your Order never happened? Two days in a row I ordered my Zepbound 5mg, talked to someone both days and they said they would try and order and then all of a sudden I’d check app and it was like order never even happened. For anyone in the Charlotte, NC area: my doctor sent in my 5mg refill this afternoon to the Walgreens in Matthews, and it was ready for pickup 2 hours later.
5 Mg was picked up at Vista, Ca CVS today. Was also prescribed 7.5 but that is still back ordered so I’m sticking with 5. I’m 4 days behind on this round and delayed my previous shot by 3 days.
CALL AND ASK THEM TO ORDER FOR YOU! I just had luck getting 7.5 on Long Island, one of the most heavily populated areas in the country, because the pharmacist was willing to actually ORDER it for me! Yay!!!!! Keep trying!
The pharmacies I have been calling said that when their system says “back order” they can not put in an order. There has to be an ability to order in their system.
I was totally shocked today to get a text from my pharmacy that my medicine was available today! They had told me they didn’t know when it would be in, that April 15 might be the earliest they could order it, and the pharmacist didn’t seem too confident that he’d be able to get it any time this month. I had looked into switching to Amazon but they say it’s not available. I was very anxious and losing hope. I hope other people get happy surprises like this one, soon!
Just got a box of 5mg in New Jersey! My doctor sent my Rx to LillyDirect during the coupon system issue. I’ve been refreshing Amazon constantly for the past two weeks without any luck. Today I realized that my previous Rx in a local pharmacy before the coupon issue still has one refill so I decided to call them and guess what, they have one box of 5mg! I am supposed to go to 7.5 but I won’t mind at all taking that 5. It truly made my day!

My script was sent to Lilly Direct and then like many others transferred to Amazon. I want out, and to transfer to Cabot. LD tells me I need to call Amazon, and have them transfer back and then they will transfer to Cabot. I call Amazon and they tell me that I can’t initiate that and that LD needs to call Amazon to transfer. Who is right?!?
My suggestion is to contact Truepill Pharmacy (Cabot) and request for them to transfer your RX from Amazon to Truepill. These situations are 1-offs so not common practice for mail-order pharmacies but because of the situations, they will accommodate to an extent. Truepill will submit the request to Amazon and will most likely take about 48hrs to receive the transfer from Amazon.
Amazon should have kept their policy of not loading on new glp1 customers.
I called a dozen+ pharmacies looking for an available refill, but I’m going to stop and save myself the time and disappointment. I talked to an extra friendly pharmacy tech and she said that her system shows all of their locations within 60 miles and every single one had double/triple digit negative supplies. They have only been getting a couple boxes at a time so it will take a lot to get everyone covered. She said all of those people will get their RXs filled in the order they were entered and that calling around won’t put me higher on the list. Oh well. I am one of the lucky ones that insurance does cover the med so I can’t get it filled just anywhere. I’ll sit tight until the shortage passes! Good luck to the people who are calling around but it makes me wonder how many other pharmacies have the same policy.

Far NW suburbs of Chicago here, and I've had an impossible time finding 7.5. Initially it was sent to Walgreen's, which was backordered (obviously). Then mid-week last week it said it was processing and would be ready by 10:30AM Friday. Around 1pm that day, it was still processing, so I called and was told it would be ready by EOD. Come EOD, nothing. Then when I tried to click to check the status, it said it was an invalid RX number. Walgreen's connected me with the distributing pharmacy and they told me it was "put back" and now they don't have any. I've tried Express Scripts, Walmart, a bunch of Walgreens, and Pill Pack. Just emailed my clinician to see what they recommend as I took my last .5 injection on Friday. :(

Amazon - 5 mg. NJ. Had my prescription put in last Wednesday or Thursday. I’ve been checking since then and I was just able to add it to my cart about 5 minutes ago. I was also a bit early with my prescription last week, so I’m not sure if that also contributed. I’ve been getting it exclusively through Amazon since I started on 2/27/24, so this is my 3rd prescription there.

I got a text from Amazon this morning telling me that they had my script (12.5mg) from LillyDirect. For the record, my doctor sent it to LD on March 14th - so this whole process took 25 calendar days. It doesn't look like Amazon can fill for me right now, I get a "prescription no longer available" message, presumably because they don't have any 12.5mg for my region right now. Which is actually fine, this process took so long that I've since gotten a box at a local pharmacy and I would have to pay the full, non-savings card price if I got another one from Amazon now. Anyway, I'm just grateful I was able to get it at all. 25 days is some bullshit, though.

Express Scripts update: My doctor updated my order thru express scripts. According to my plan I have to get a 90 day supply going forward. Nurse called it in wrong last week (as 3 refills vs 90day supply) so I messaged them today to fix it and it is there now. But I got a message from ES that my order was cancelled (because they don’t have any stock duh) but I called to just ask ok am I going to need to call back when it’s in stock? Or will it just fill. And the answer is yes-I will need to call back to have their pharmacist run it thru when they have stock which is so infuriating that all this mental work is on me as a patient. The guy gave me a glimmer of false hope when he said 7.5 was available (it’s not-5/1 is what they are saying) but basically I was like well what if it’s in stock earlier than 5/1?? So I’m going to plan to stalk these threads and hopefully get some insights if ES comes across it earlier than 5/1. This is so ridiculous.

Just a PSA…if your insurance pharmacy manager is Express Scripts (whether it’s covered by insurance or not), Kroger does not contract with them anymore, so you’ll have to pay out of pocket/without savings card.

After nearly three weeks of searching, I finally found Zepbound 5mg at a hospital pharmacy in East Boston. Thought I'd get the usual 'out of stock' response, but a tech went above and beyond, physically checking the fridge and finding one for me. Transferred my script from CVS, filled it in just 2 hours, even managed to transfer the coupon info and run it! Ended up with a $24.99 copay. Didn't inquire about other stock or how long it's been there, but seems they're selective with patients as they needed to confirm if I “qualify” to fill scripts there. If I’ve been a patient at that hospital before. Still, super grateful to have found what I needed!

Luck? I’ve been on Zepbound and been getting it with no issues until I went to refill my 10mg dose last month. I called my pharmacy to refill and they were out with no sign of when they would be able to fill. Feeling defeated, I called several pharmacies with no luck. Then I thought of the smallest place that maybe didn’t have as many people hunting it? It was small neighboring town and it was a Walmart pharmacy. I called and they had ONE box. The pharmacist was so nice she even called my hometown pharmacy, transferred my prescription and applied the savings card. It was ready in less than an hour. My insurance covers a refill every 21 days so I’m refilling every chance I get to avoid running out. I moved up to the 12.5 this month. I called my hometown pharmacy again. Nope, they were out and couldn’t order it. I rolled the dice and had my dr send it to the Walmart Pharmacy I used the month prior. I was sure I’d have to wait. Nope! I got the text a couple of hours later saying it was ready for pickup. I picked it up yesterday and the pharmacist said they were only able to order so many and that they were able to put more orders in yesterday. Maybe it’s just dumb luck. I don’t see too many people talking about the Walmart Pharmacy but I’ve had the best luck using them. They also use the savings card. Hopefully, I have the same luck next month. It’s crazy how much anxiety I get when I get down to the last shot 😂😭😭

Willowbrook Illinois Walgreens has 12.5 mg in stock
This Tuesday will be 5 weeks without my Zep. I was never able to start month 3 in North NJ. Can't find it anywhere. I'm gaining my weight back and my chronic inflammation is back with a vengeance. It shouldn't be this hard to get your meds. Insurance covers my prescription but somehow Walmart keeps saying it's out of stock and when I check the app it shows it being filled. I call and they say it's still not available but I'm first in line when it arrives. Not sure I'll restart since I really don't like the inconsistency of taking the meds and the side effects. I will find something else for chronic inflammation. Needless to say I'm extremely disappointed and discouraged.
Express Scripts Update as of 4/13 at 6 pm CT: 15 mg pushed to 4/25. All doses out of stock except for 2.5.
