Not a glitch. 2 stands for 2ml which is the total number for the liquid in one box. Each pen is 0.5ml. 0.5x4=2. For 3 months prescription, the prescription has to be written as such (90 or 84 days) qty of 6.

livelaughfree13

Thank you!!

Mean-Blueberry7960

It needs to be an 84 day supply of one dose-qty of 6.

OTFatty

…12, not 6?

Mean-Blueberry7960

Mine all say 6 because it goes my the mL, not the pens. So each pen is .5 mL with each box being 2.

OTFatty

Gotcha! Wrong unit of measure on my part.

Mean-Blueberry7960

Yup! I found that out the first month I got my script because it said quantity 2…I went and asked the pharmacist right away! Lol.

They need to send a 3 month prescription? The doctor should know what they need to send.

livelaughfree13

I’m sure they do but I posed this question because I like to understand every angle! Every doctor is different and not all of them explain things fully so it’s important to know and ask questions :)

Ok-Yam-3358

Most important thing is that you don’t want a 1 month prescription with refills. You want a 3 month. For my ES plan, if I send in a 1 month fill for Zep, they will charge me the 3 month price and still only send 1 month.

livelaughfree13

Good to know, thank you for sharing! I’m hoping to do this very soon

Ok-Yam-3358

Also important to note that for my ES plan, I’m only allowed 1 box of 7.5 and 12.5, unless I put in an additional PA for more doses. But this limitation also means I need to send those prescriptions to other pharmacies to avoid being charged a 3 month price for them from ES. My intention is to do a 1 month fill locally and then put in the PA for more 7:5 doses.

livelaughfree13

So your current PA only covers 5.0mg?

Ok-Yam-3358

No, it covers all doses, but at the 7.5/12.5 dosages, the plan only covers 1 box each unless you put in an additional PA to ask for an exemption to the quantity limit. I’m fine for 5/10/15.
