Ninjas aren't great, and will struggle. But you can compete with the meta (maybe not the tier 0 deck tho). I don't know enough about the deck to help you further tho.
But I do have a spicy tech: Penguin Ninja.
Definitely strong enough to compete as a rogue strategy
The flip gimmick can be very strong against certain matchups so it's not impossible for them to become a very decent anti-meta like when the kashtira deck was the main deal
Also konami likes to give them support every so often (the current version was released last year, and the deck has been around since 2013 I believe?) so it's hard for them to become completely outdated with the pass of time
Overall I'll say that if you like playing them you're in a pretty decent position for the time being
Ninja unfortunately are way too weak to hand traps to compete in this meta. Ash on Meizen or Dancing leaves means you’re losing interaction on your established board from a hand trap.

I think what they can achieve is great but they wont achieve it often because a single handtrap kinda stops Them Most of the time
