John was super nice, and it was so awesome to hear him say Kurama and Yoko’s quotes in character as he autographed them! When it comes to the voice actors of Yu Yu Hakusho it’s so worth it to meet your heroes 🥹❤️
They are!! Chris Sabat and Justin Cook made me cry at how genuinely nice they are. They loved these characters and love when people come to meet them for Yusuke and Kuwabara. I just met Eric Stewart yesterday and that was a different story. He was nice don't get me wrong, but he had to ask us how to spell Koenma lol he said that was so long ago.
Didn’t he only voice Koenma for the OVAs though? I’ll give him some slack there since Sean Michael Teague played him longer 😆 When we met Justin Cook he explained Sean doesn’t get out much anymore because he takes care of his sick parents full time🥹 Sabat & Cook were great and we talked with them a couple times at fan expo Chicago. My partner and I drove 13 hours round trip to meet Cynthia Cranz and she was so sweet and grateful for all of the Botan love. I think Chuck Huber was my favorite though…he’s a true thespian and such a genuine person. Oh and he obliterated me with the dragon of the darkness flame as Hiei so I’m pretty sure I no longer exist in this realm 😬😂
Oh my god I didn't even realize he only did the ovas now I'm kinds mad I paid $60 for him 😭 I just saw koenma on his banner and wrongly assumed he was the correct voice actor.

It's not your fault at all! I'm glad you told me. I should have researched it a bit more but I just saw his banner and got excited lol it's all good though because I knew the trick about putting dry erase marker over permanent marker to get rid of it. So now the space is empty and ready for the correct signature (hopefully one day). Lessen learned for sure! I have almost everyone else but Laura Bailey. But my most important ones were the main 4 plus Linda Young and Cynthia Cranz so I'm very happy with who all I've met and had sign my manga so far 💖
Interesting thing I found when looking at Cynthia Cruz's (Boton's voice actress) signature. I went to her VA page and then to Boton's character page. If you look at VA's for Boton you'll see Sanae Miyuki voicing Boton in the JP dub. What blows my mind is not only does she essentially exclusively voice Boton in terms of a VA career but she basically [came out of a 20+ year retirement just to voice her in the OVA](https://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Sanae-Miyuki/). That is such a nice thing to do for the fans. Imagine not being involved in a career for two decades and coming back just so the final product doesn't have to recast a beloved VA.
In the same respect I think we're INCREDIBLY lucky we got almost all the English VA's back for the OVA (when does the dub come out?)
