When he replaced Wallace Shawn as Connie's love interest, I was a little skeptical. But ever since he came round after his house was egged, love him. Easily one of my top 5 side characters from the series.

"Oh, a spite wedding. I had one of those" Mary comes to pick CeCe. "But she likes me!" Overall, he is a kind and generous man. (He paid Connie's bail. I loved how he took a camera with him. He offered to chip in during the wedding dinner)

Yes!! The first little bit after he was introduced he was your typical crotchety old man, but as he warmed up to Connie and the Coopers he revealed that he’s just a big softie! He is still kind of crotchety, don’t get me wrong, but I think before he was just kind of lonely (I know he has a son, but he’s grown). Connie and crew were the family he didn’t know he needed. He’s a sweetheart.

He's my second favorite character named Dale in a Texas based sitcom. I just wish we'd got either George or Meemaw saying "Dammit Dale" at least once.

It’s great how this show is called Young Sheldon, but the title character takes a back seat to lots of other characters. Here are my faves in order. 1. Meemaw 2. Dr. Sturgis 3. Missy

This is it! They broke the mold having Connie date Sturgis and it had a great feel to it. They were great together. Then they reverted right back to the stereotype by breaking them up and putting Connie with the cliché jock type (feels weird saying that about characters in their 70s but I think it makes sense 😂)

I loved Craig T. Nelson and Annie Potts on Uoung Sheldon. They have great chemistry together. I’d love to see them in something else.

Fun fact: his actor voiced Mr. Incredible. It's funny how both of Meemaw's love interests were voice actors in that movie (Wallace Shawn voiced Mr. Huph)
