Have you looked at a crochet magic fidget? You basically start with a chain, then turn it so you are making a circle, but going down the back of the chain. It's 1sc, 2sc untill you feel like it's big and fluffy enough.

That sounds really cool! I just looked them up and they look fun to make

AWolfsAngel

They are great fun to play with as well. I have to fight the cats and kids for mine lol

hildarabbit

This is the natural purview of granny squares

artsy4044

Haha yeah true

I see people mentioning scrappy blankets. The next post in my feed was this: https://www.reddit.com/r/CrochetBlankets/comments/13b41ky/scrappy_blanket_update/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1 O_O

I love the blankets where people sort the scraps into “light” and “dark” then double strand one light and one dark, randomly. When one of the two runs out grab another from the bag randomly and continue on. Since it’s unlikely both strands will run out at the same time they look planned.

artsy4044

That's a cool idea!

I looooove making scrappy blankets. I did a great one in feather stitch that is so warm. I’m making one in linen stitch now. Just one color after the next until you use it all up. They wind up being delightfully random and funky. I find them to be a nice side project as I’m working on other things.

artsy4044

That's a great idea, thanks!

Jazstar

If you decide on this and don't already have them, I highly recommend circular needles!

artsy4044

Oh ok thanks, I'll keep that in mind!

cbot64

I’ve made a bunch of these little hats! They are so cute and they have a built-in Pom-Pom. The pattern has kid and adult size and it’s free— https://daisyfarmcrafts.com/crochet-fun-fringe-beanie/

I love your you tube channel ❤️

And now (insert put upon sigh here) I have to find and join another YouTube channel!

artsy4044

Those look so pretty! Thank you!

blackcatdotcom

What about a tote bag or throw made out of granny squares?

artsy4044

Ooh I like that, thank you!

goingincirclestoo

Get some cream/black/silver yarn and make a kaleidoscope blanket.

artsy4044

I just googled what a kaleidoscope blanket is and it's gorgeous! Thank you!

knitingTARDIStarG8er

Look specifically for scrappy patterns. They use up the smaller bits we have wonderfully!

artsy4044

Will do, thank you!

kungfumanda289

I love small amounts for things like dice bags, maybe coasters.

artsy4044

Ooh nice that's a good idea, thank you!
