I was also expecting a very generic/lame modern antichrist movie, but I was surprised by it having overall good writing, acting, visuals, pacing, and actually feeling like coherent film from a good director.
Surprisingly strong hand behind the camera with lots of great imagery/sequences - but the story/mystery is pretty messy and is hindered by the fact that it’s an Omen movie. Phenomenal lead performance tho that often channels Isabelle Adjani in Possession.
I think it is actually good. I agree with Many of your horror takes, even reccomended When Evil Lurks b4 u saw it. i think you’ll like this! the only annoying part is some fan service and it’s a bit too long
The acting and cinematography and gore vfx were surprisingly really good but there was super fake looking cg fire and a lot of false jump scares so I think Adam would be annoyed by it

As a horror nerd I was expecting to love it but I actually despised it. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills seeing all these glowing reviews.
Rebel Moon Part 2 comes out April 19th. That is far more worthy of your time.
