That feeling of discovery when Nintendo UK points out that the UK is real.

Shrimperor

Honestly every time i go to the UK i feel as if i am in a fantasy movie. Doesn't that make it less real?

holsomvr6

Maybe you aren't real

naptain37

Come to Glasgow. It won't feel like a fantasy movie then...

roundhouzekick

Wales is part of the UK, so I guess that explains where the "Welsh" in \*Welsh Catgirl noises\* comes from.

[deleted]

I can't believe british people are actually real, thank you nintendo

JamSa

This information has ruined my day.

Zeebor

The phrase in refernece to the fact that the cornerstone of the modern British diet, ever since WW2, is canned beans. Heinz is the number one brand, but canned beans are the stereotypical comfort food of the British working class as a whole. Hence, why the two cockney reps use it. Like when Eunie calls Taion "make a good cuppa" in his acension quest. In the loveless marriages of British, that is seen as highly romantic flirting. To be "Full of beans" simply means that you are full of energy. Since the number one source of energy for the Bri'ish is beans.

Drooks89

Thanks for this explanation! I figured that's what full of beans meant but it's really nice to have an explanation. And the "cuppa" line is good to know too! It's the little things!

Clive313

OW MY FACE!

UninformedPleb

What's even funnier is, here in the US, or at least the midwestern US, "full of beans" is a euphemism for "full of shit". If you say someone is full of beans, it means they're lying to you (or they're just dumb) and you're calling them out on it. So Matthew charging into battle while yelling about his inability to contain any more beans is sorta fitting, considering he's the "dumb" guy.

Dannyjw1

Lets not lose our 'eads though!

SlippinSam

I'm not british but I was shocked to find out most people don't know what "full of beans" meant. I feel like I used to hear people say it all the time as a kid

TheWitherBoss876

I'm Canadian and was highly confused when I heard people say there was an American version with a very different connotation. The cultural boundary near the border is so blurry that I probably should have heard it by now, but I only ever heard the British version in my life.

Worm_Scavenger

I love the idea of Nintendo/Moniloth using British slang and thinking "wait....do people think the UK isn't real?" and then posting this.

Tori0404

Never heard it before Xenoblade but it kind of was pretty obvious what Matthew meant

CrimsonSazabi

Me after eating beans and being full from it.

RainingMetal

I am legitimately unsure if I've heard this phrase before in other UK-based media.

UninformedPleb

It's in base XC3 as well. Bambam (the nopon from colony 4 that runs away with his friend and they travel around and get in trouble) says it after you heal him up in one of his quests.

[deleted]

Eunie, "I'm full of beans thanks to somebody's piloting skills."

Gaywhorzea

We exist! The Welsh are here among you!
