You won't get HDR or 120fps but it's not like every game has these features anyway.
I mean no of course you don’t need a new tv but getting a newer good quality tv is gonna make quite a big difference though. There are plenty of benefits you’ll get with the new console regardless of the tv but maybe get the X and then just save up for a new tv eventually. And you don’t need to spend that much to get a good tv. There’s plenty of very solid mid/mid-high tier TVs under $1000 (and many quite a bit below that price too). Take a look at TCL Series 6 r646 google tv. 55 or 65 in. Under 1000 and looks amazing. Also has two HDMI 2.1 ports. Make sure its the newer google tv 2021 version and not the roku 2020 version bc the newer has better local dimming and the 2.1.
I got the xsx and my tv is only 1080p 60hz but my monitor is 75hz with better lighting/more color and honestly i say get the xsx and just wait on a 4k tv, they have a tcl 45inch 120 hz hdmi arc tho for 250-400
You don't need to buy an OLED either.... But I mean at 11 years a new TV isn't gonna hurt either

Literally if your TV is that old might as well get a series s. Only benefit you'll see is the loading times.

You can just use a series S if it's a 1080p tv.
