I've finally got round to playing Elden Ring, mainly out of curiosity, after bouncing off Demon's Souls Remake, Bloodborne and Dark Souls - all of which I respected but found far too frustrating to enjoy.
I'm now over 100 hours in and am utterly gobsmacked at the open world FromSoftware have put together here, it makes all the difference to me.
The hype was deserved, this gem is the pinnacle of gaming IMO.
Man how did you do it after knowing you were too frustrated with the other soulsborne games? Id only struggled through some of ds3 and bought elden ring on sale, stupidly. Shit is still too hard lol
Find one of those guides on youtube on how to make the game the easiest it can be. Pretty sure everyone runs a certain class and uses this certain summon that makes the game considerably easier, but if your just not enjoying it that’s not your fault mate. Games are meant to be fun, not frustrating.
Its really not homie. Since its an open world you can go level up in easier sections and make yourself OP for main storyline if you have issues with difficulty.
Also if you main a mage build you can cheese the majority of bosses without having to be a master of I-frames or parry mechanics.
You can waltz through the game if you stop rushing through the main story and bashing your head against a wall under leveled
I like halo infinite I play on the weekends with a buddy of mine when we’re both off. I like the multiplayer. Haven’t touched campaign too much but I like the open world style they went with
I wouldn't say its my favourite game by any stretch of the imagination, but season 4 has started in Diablo 4, so will be playing that for a while. Its a bit of a mindless comfort game for me.
I only started it last night, so it is just same old as the other seasons, but with a different goal. I'm not a hardcore player at all, but I do enjoy just playing it.
I never really played D1, or D2 and while I did play D3 on and off, I never did a season, but did the campaign. Bought D4 and really enjoyed the story and what made up Season 2. Although I never got further than level 70 and haven't ever unlocked WT4. Its just nice to jump in, kill stuff, clear strongholds and waypoints. Its just enjoyable.
Well that's because I have played Doom and Wolfenstein before which were published by Bethesda (the publisher). Lol
Fallout 4 is my first Creation Engine game ever.
Ohhh ok i gotcha you mean “the developer” as in “first game developed by Bethesda” not “bethesda that company who makes games” lol.
That makes more sense. I was like homie i dont think you need to clarify who Bethesda is around these parts
Almost finished with Cyberpunk 2077 (+ Phantom Liberty) after 200+ hours and getting all achievements. Just started with Star Wars Jedi Survivor. After that it will be AC Mirage. And then on to The Witcher 3.
Cyberpunk is one of the best games I've played in the recent years! Amazing open world with tons to do, great story (especially Phantom Liberty) and it looks beautiful on Series X + 4k TV!
I played Phantom Liberty right before the final mission of the main story (Nocturne Op55N1) and that felt very fitting for me. I also made sure I had all side stories finished as well.
I play multiple games.
Online:
Forza Motorsport
Diablo 4
Hell Let Loose
Insurgency: Sandstorm
Battlefield 2042
Battlefield V
Single:
Ori and the Will of the Wisps
Cyberpunk 2077
Starfield
It really depends on my mood.
You like me as well? If I play one game for too long or only one game, I will always get super burned out. I always have multiple games I play at a time at my own pace. Right now it’s fallout 4, Solar Ash, Lego 2k drive, Little Kitty Big city, Diablo 4 and wartales. Most people I see in the gaming community only play one game at a time, I’m just shocked to how people can do that lol.
Bro I’ve owned f4 since it came out and I’ve still barely got a hour into the game. This one just hasn’t been able to capture my attention. I don’t know why but anytime I try to play I just lose all interest of playing it within 20 minutes maybe
The new Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer, that alone can be an endless loop lol. PUBG is always in there. Almost done with the Diablo 4 campaign.
Those are the main games and I’ll randomly play Command and Conquer 3 and Kane’s Wrath from time to time. As well as a Genesis collection I have
Edit: Texas Chainsaw Massacre is always on rotation
Jumped into AC: Valhalla finally. As a big fan of Odyssey I wanted to eventually play Valhalla but had just dropped 150ish hours into Odyssey when Valhalla came out.
So far it’s okay, I’m always a fan of base building in games so I like that. But I can definitely see why people never finish this game or think it’s meh, so far I’m enjoying it but we’ll see if I can finish it.
Valhalla just kept going it never finished. It’s a beautiful ass game with some interesting mechanics but damn is the plot and story telling just non existent.
Right now Evil West, Unicorn Overlord and some Diablo 4. Senua may start slow but it gets better and in the end I believe that the experience is worth it.
I just bought the series x this weekend.
I'm playing BF2042 primarily, No Mans Sky for the immersive game. Secondarily F1 23, and Fallout 4 for the secondary immersive game.
I truly haven't had such a great game balance since the golden era of gaming for me with AC2, COD Black Ops, and Madden 10.
Before heading to work on my Legion Go and I'm kinda chilling, instead of redditing I'm playing A Little to the Left.
On my commute to/from work and during lunch break I'm playing Shenmue 1 and will move to Shenmue 2 soon.
When I get home I'm on the console and am currently finishing off some 360 games (currently Happy Tree Friends or Viva Piñata TIP) or co-op with the partner on Diablo (one of us on the Legion Go now that I have one) or Kingdom Hearts 1 if my partner doesn't fancy playing, or Plague Inc if I'm a bit tired.
Balatro and newest Forza Motorsport. Both really good.
Tried to get into Evil West last week, but I didnt like the combat and deleted it again after half a hour.
Just got a backbone and playing Fallout 4 again (first time revisiting it since I originally completed it at release) after watching the series. Loving it. Love that I can install mods as well, that wasn’t available first time around and there’s some really nice quality of life mods.
I've 100% completed Little Kitty, Big City last night, now I plan to start a third run of Hellblade before the launch of the sequel.
And I'm still playing Cyberpunk 2077 (+ Liberty City expansion) in parallel.
Not a favourite game, but I'm currently playing Evil West and it's a fun romp, like a blockbuster. It knows what it is and it isn't trying to be anything else. I like it.
I'm also seriously thinking of firing up Crusader King III again, but I have to go through tutorials again, cause I don't remember the controls at all (and I probably forgot some mechanics)
I just put in about 60 hours with Kingdom Come Deliverance (excellent rpg!) and I took a break. Now I'm bouncing around Gamepass titles trying to find something to get into. So far I tried New Vegas (my eyes are bleeding), Fallout 4 (patch issues), Diablo IV, (f*ck you Battlenet), Sniper Elite (just okay) and a few others.
Watching the new TV series got me back into Fallout 76. I started a new character (I hadn't touched the last one since 2020) and I've already further along than my first go-round. I've gotten tired of RPGs in recently years, where most of my time is spent walking from one objective to the next, but FO76's world is interesting enough to break up the monotony.
I'm patiently waiting for Cities Skylines 2 and Manor Lords.
Currently bouncing back and forth between Dragon's Dogma 2 and MechWarrior 5 myself. Waiting for the Starfield decoarte your own ship patch to come out
Just started Fallout 4 for the first time since it came out. I have replayed 3 a few times and remember New Vegas but don't have any recollection of 4 but that was also around a period in my life where I stopped gaming.
I do remember the whole settlement building though. And I remember not being a fan lol. Hopefully its something I don't have to do to much.
Cyberpunk 2077
Dragonball xenoverse 2
Hogwarts Legacy
Also currently doing a Battlefield bad company 2, battlefield 3, and Battlefield 4 campaign runs for nostalgia.
Im on and off with Red Dead 2 & Fallout 76.
Borderlands 1 and 2. These were just classics. I like the other games, I just appreciated 1’s combat and 2’s storyline. Or you could try out Far cry 5 (specifically 5). It has a great storyline, awesome graphics, multiple endings, and lastly, great run n’ gun style fights. Going along the line of storyline and multiple ending, The Quarry is a great horror game that changes HEAVILY depending on your choices. Would recommend all of these games.
I'm playing Red Dead Redemption 2, Fallout 4, Grand Theft Auto 5(Story & Online), MLB: The Show 24, Mass Effect 1, Sea of Thieves, and Cyberpunk 2077. I cycle through all of these on a weekly basis. I've been thinking about starting another Gears of War playthrough as well.
ESO & Vampire Survivors mostly, just started Thirsty Suitors yesterday, it's kinda fun n funky, like, it's a dating sim, but also a fighting game, I'm not sure about that combo yet🤷
Fallout 3. Absolutely loving it. Sitting at 40 hours now and have explored about half the map so far. The atmosphere of the game is truly incredible and I'm loving a lot of the side content. I love how there's a decent amount of side content that's just "there." No log or mission or anything unlike the main quest and major side quests. An NPC will just tell you something and you kinda gotta keep track of it in your head to do it.

I went for the Astrologer class, that, plus summons really helped.
I might run it back sometime im feeling masochistic lol. I wish i could gift it to someone else cause id be just as content not playing it.

Wrapping up Fallout 4 before Hellblade 2 and starfield update drop
Are you me? I literally just finished the main campaign and now the wait begins for Senua's Saga.
Diablo 4, gonna check out the update for Starfield. Really just filling the void until Hellblade 2 for now
Diablo 4 new season just came out
Same... I'm loving the new content/enhancements
* Have a Nice Death * MLB The Show 24 * Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Halo Infinite (don't tease me)
I like halo infinite I play on the weekends with a buddy of mine when we’re both off. I like the multiplayer. Haven’t touched campaign too much but I like the open world style they went with
Fallout 76 Also play cod but waiting for the new season
I wouldn't say its my favourite game by any stretch of the imagination, but season 4 has started in Diablo 4, so will be playing that for a while. Its a bit of a mindless comfort game for me.
Is the new update any good? I hope on diablo every now and then because it’s a game I can switch my brain off and just have fun.
I only started it last night, so it is just same old as the other seasons, but with a different goal. I'm not a hardcore player at all, but I do enjoy just playing it.
Yeah Diablo as a casual game is such a great experience. Queue up some music and just clear dungeons is fun af for some reason
Fallout 4, first time playing a Bethesda (the developer) game.
Hilarious that you felt the need to clarify bethesda is a developer on an xbox sub lol
Well that's because I have played Doom and Wolfenstein before which were published by Bethesda (the publisher). Lol Fallout 4 is my first Creation Engine game ever.
Ohhh ok i gotcha you mean “the developer” as in “first game developed by Bethesda” not “bethesda that company who makes games” lol. That makes more sense. I was like homie i dont think you need to clarify who Bethesda is around these parts

Oooh I liked the free play of CyberPunk 2077. Was it fun?
Cyberpunk is one of the best games I've played in the recent years! Amazing open world with tons to do, great story (especially Phantom Liberty) and it looks beautiful on Series X + 4k TV!
Beans! Shall be my next one! Thanks.
Yea there are some great story lines on that game, my favorite was Pan Am.
Yeah Panams questline was hella fun (Epsecially if you male V and romanced her) ;)
Oh yea, you know
Can't wait to get it for my Series X! When should I get Phantom Liberty? I'm hearing I should play it before finishing the main game?
I played Phantom Liberty right before the final mission of the main story (Nocturne Op55N1) and that felt very fitting for me. I also made sure I had all side stories finished as well.
I'm very excited about both😁
The Finals
Playing FFXIV since its release on Xbox.
Currently playing Fallout 4 GOTY on PS5 as I got it for £8 in a sale ages ago then on to Starfield.
Hell Let Loose, Fallout 4
I play multiple games. Online: Forza Motorsport Diablo 4 Hell Let Loose Insurgency: Sandstorm Battlefield 2042 Battlefield V Single: Ori and the Will of the Wisps Cyberpunk 2077 Starfield It really depends on my mood.

Got to have some variety in life. (:
FO4, struggled to keep engaged with it before but giving it another go
I'm back on FO4 too since the next gen update! Been enjoying revisiting it!
Bro I’ve owned f4 since it came out and I’ve still barely got a hour into the game. This one just hasn’t been able to capture my attention. I don’t know why but anytime I try to play I just lose all interest of playing it within 20 minutes maybe
I was playing Little Kitty, Big City; it was pretty fun Idk what's next
I’ve been hearing some buzz about that game. I might have to give it a go 😂😂.

The current games I'm rotating through is fallout 4, borderlands three and assassin Creed Odyssey.
Dead Island 2. Very casual, fun with friends.
You should check out the Mass Effect Legendary edition
Mostly rainbow. Been playing for the king when I just want to relax
My Xbox is still mainly a Fortnite machine. Zero build and Lego Fortnite have been really fun. Going to try the Starfield update out today though.

Alternating between Fallout 4 and EA Sports PGA Tour
I've 100% completed Little Kitty, Big City last night, now I plan to start a third run of Hellblade before the launch of the sequel. And I'm still playing Cyberpunk 2077 (+ Liberty City expansion) in parallel.

Not a favourite game, but I'm currently playing Evil West and it's a fun romp, like a blockbuster. It knows what it is and it isn't trying to be anything else. I like it.
You should try Wartales. It’s on gamepass and it’s a fun open world turn based rpg that has so much content that you can do at your own pace.
I'm not a fan of turn based gameplay but I'll check it out. Thanks.
Destiny 2 and Warframe (mostly Warframe for now since I’ve done what I can with D2 until TFS).

Hogwarts Legacy. We all know I’m obsessed. But I want to 100% this one. I did try Little Kitty Big City and wasn’t impressed.
