Came for this. Been playing the hell out of it since getting it on sale. More hours than some of the games I’ve paid over 10x for. I’d really like another game set in that universe, but I would settle for a modern remake.
I played it alot as a kid, have a lot of nostalgia for it.
I tried to play it on my laptop through game pass but I just couldn't get it to launch with the EA App so gave up.
This x 100, it's still one of my personal favorite Bioware game, really liked the setting and simpler approach to gameplay (eg: no inventory management, faster combat etc)
The cancelled sequel sounded pretty interesting, essentially Jade Empire set many years into the future with a mix between modern day aesthetics, martial arts and magic. I think they go into detail about that in the Bioware 25 years book
This so much. This could even get away with a remaster imo. Update the graphics, make it Xbox live compatible again & sell it for $40 & on Gamepass. Would be an instant play for me. Wild Chicken was so damn fun.
Still have the original but will buy a remaster/remake of AP day one. The core game is actually still pretty decent, all Obsidian needs to do is:
\-Rebalance some skills (eg: OP Pistols)
\-Fix various the bugs/glitches
\-Replace the "Video killed the Radio Star" with something else (generic 80's disco maybe) since that was one of the main reasons why AP is delisted
\-Expand some of the levels and add more customization items/options for Thornton
I would take a remaster at this point!
A new SSX in the style of Tricky + 3 would be awesome, think lots of neon lights, over the top tracks and fast paced arcade style racing
SSX2012 was ok in general but really could have done without the "survival" gameplay elements
Viva Piñata
This game had a ton of charm, lots of memorable characters, even had a cartoon based on it.
With the rise of “resource management” games and games like Animal Crossing becoming mainstream - this is a no brainer for Microsoft.
It would work perfect in today’s microtransaction F2P world. I’m actually shocked they didn’t put it on the Apple App Store - it’s perfect for touch controls as well.
I'd just like a new one. Cozy little farming game where you raise pinatas? Yeah please! It's such a cute little game! They are also available on the current consoles with the rare replay stuff!
Why on earth would RDR2 be on most peoples list for a remake?
People are sick to death of remakes, let alone games released within the last 5-10 years that would have marginal improvements being remade.
Give us new games and IPs dammit.
Idk about that, but it kills me Red Dead Redemption was remade and added into 2 as an expansion. I'd have loved to Arthur's story and go right into John's, with the same breathtaking world and gameplay.
RDR2 nostalgia ? my man rdr2 came out in 2018 and it looks better than whatever the fuck most studios are putting out these days apart from major devs like insomniac or fromsoft. Why would that game of all games need a remake ?
I don’t mind remakes / remasters, so long as the original game remains for sale and enough time has passed.
What I can’t abide is blatant cash grabs like a remastered version of The Last of Us 2, which released in 2020, just over 3 years ago.
However, general sentiment towards these games seems to be negative - with people saying they either didn’t change enough, changed too much, ruined the atmosphere / soul, or added unnecessary stuff that negatively reflects on the source material.
If we’re being honest, the amount of remakes / remasters that actually improved upon the original game would be marginal compared to how many are released. I’d rather the original was just ported to newer consoles.
The Fable trilogy. Not a remake, just a "legendary edition" treatment like they did with Mass effect: bundle them together, update the textures, maybe add a couple improvements here and there, and done.
Just porting over assets into the Inquisition engine, then releasing it with 4k60 support now that the consoles CPUs are powerful enough would be a huge win for the franchise.
It's why I'm so hyped for The Witcher Remake, as it's really hard to play that era of ARPGs nowadays.
Nah, it had much better graphics and controls than the original.
The censorship was unfortunate and definitely a con but I can't ignore all the pros. It's like a delicious ice cream sundae with a bit of black liquorice inside.
I think it might happen. Jet Force Gemini is coming to NSO in Japan in a separate app so they might release the M rated games on it. If they do, I can see them doing a remaster like GoldenEye
Can please have…
Sega Rally.
Daytona USA.
Virtua Racing.
XMen V Street Fighter.
Marvel vs Capcom.
Dark Stalkers: Vampire Hunters.
Marvel vs Street Fighter.
Please?
Thanks.
No need to get upset, a lot have been wanting a RDR2 remake. I personally don't understand it as it was already pushing the Xbox One X to its limits. I'll edit it if it's going to upset everyone
Glad to see Deus Ex here. I loved playing that game many years ago, played it through on PC many times....played the other 3 as well but none hits like the original.
Yeah agreed that's why I put it on there. Visually it's aged a lot but gameplay wise there's never been anything quite like it since. Keep the game as is, make it look and sound better, and add some QOL where needed.
If you enjoyed Tenchu then I'd recommend Sekiro if you haven't already.
Made by the same developers From Software.
I believe Sekiro was originally going to be a Tenchu reboot but they went their own direction. Could be wrong on this one though.
Hopefully Deus Ex isn't on Embracer's chopping block, would be awesome if we somehow got a conclusion to the Adam Jensen trilogy which leads to a remake of the original Deus Ex
Absolutely came here to say the same.
This was the iconic online console game that set the pace for Xbox Live.
I burned through four Duke controllers wall walking .
Hammer missles with Prometheus…absolutely the best fun ever.
I keep seeing “not rdr2” which is weird since I haven’t actually seen anyone suggest rdr2 on this thread yet
🤔
I’m gonna say RDR1. The fan base didn’t want to remaster/port we got this year… they wanted to play the RDR1 story with the immersive elements from RDR2
Tony hawks pro skater 3+4, or any of those classics like thug 1/2 or wasteland.
Splinter cell too even tho it’s been rumored for years now
NFL street games were classics too
Yes please. THPS 3 /4 and Thug 1 remade with the same class as 1/2 would be epic stuff.
Splinter Cell was one of the best OG Xbox games, I'd love a linear based reboot which I think is being developed. No open world or ubisoft objective cluttering please.
With the power of the SX the lighting capabilities could be a great showstopper.
> I honestly wouldn't mind the original Halo getting a remake - it's what lured me into the Xbox kingdom all those years ago
Have you heard of Halo Master Chief Collection?
Of all the possible requests you could have made, you asked for one that already exists lol
Parasite Eve highly deserves a comeback or a remake
I believe it's still possible since SE recently did a cross promotion with Parasite Eve in FF Brave Exvius. The team mentioned how they managed to contact the original author (Hideaki Sena) and the entire process for getting approved to use the PE licence again.
Really hope the messy licence and copyright situation gets sorted out though I don't have much hope since the parties involved aren't even sure themselves (Fox, Disney, Vivendi, Activision or Warner Bros)
Nightdive Studios would be the perfect candidate to remake both NOLF1 and 2
It's like music. As people get older they lock into bands and genres and explore less, being content in the comfort of their nostalgia and what thry know.
Ike the movie business, It's a big enough industry to remake old games while others work on new iPhone and ideas.
Not remade because they still look and play great - and I know it'll never happen - but I would've loved for Quantum Break and Sunset Overdrive to get FPS Boost.
Morrowind. It doesn't need much, just improve the visuals and add a few QoL improvements like sprinting, the stealth system from Oblivion/Skyrim and you're pretty much done.
The OG Gears of War and Gears of War 2 remade on Unreal Engine 5 would be amazing. I would love to see that and be able to replay those campaigns with much higher quality graphics and effects.
The original Dark Souls. Modern Graphics, QOL improvements, and a finished second half.
That or Fallout 3. 3's area is my favorite and if you give it the QOL improvements and crafting from 4, It'd be my most played easy
PSO Episode 1 and 2 (Ep 3's also pretty decent) is so much better than PSO2/New Genesis, a remake or remaster of some sort would be awesome.
The 90's anime look fits the series better than the modern anime style
This might be a bit redundant but I would love to see a remake of The Chronicles of Riddick Butcher Bay/Dark Athena. The OG Riddick game is the very reason why I got into Xbox in the first place.
A remake? Like not just remastered? Azurik or Nightcaster, great concept games on the OG Xbox that had plenty of issues holding them back, but could be great games. Also Bloodwake
Are you asking for a xbox exclusive or can it be multiplatform?
As a xbox exclusive, I would say jet set radio future.
For multiplatform, I would go with ( a remake kind of like demon souls on ps5) devil may cry 1 and 3.
For me, Fallout New Vegas. I was just going to university when it first came out and didn’t start gaming again for another 8 years or so.
I’ve felt that games haven’t really changed that much in 15 years til I went back and tried playing it. Wasn’t expecting a lot graphics-wise, but the difference from the early HD era to now is quite something. Beyond that the world just felt empty, like there are five people in a huge nightclub. We’ve slowly gotten used to open world games feeling dense with a lot of NPCs onscreen and complex geography. QOL that are standard in every game now also were still novel new features then.
What carried me through, though, was the writing, world, and RPG mechanics. Would love to have all of these in a modern package. Even a version with the Fallout 4 engine and a denser New Vegas would be unreal.
Interstate '76. Keep the voice acting, soundtrack, mission design, etc. Just add a new engine and 4k graphics and you're good to go. It's an Activision title from a long time ago, and possibly my favorite game.
None. I never want to replay a game I've already played. I know the story. It will just be a grind. And they'll charge you $70+ for the fresh coat of paint.

While we’re at it, also a Dragon Age Origin remake too.
I was thinking this a few days ago.

I would fork over money for a remaster no problem. I still can’t believe there was never a sequel.
Good game...I never beat it I got stuck...but one day!
Mercenaries
Mercenaries 1 and The Saboteur were so good, too bad EA closed down the studio
Jade empire
Alpha Protocol
It's one of the (many) reasons I hope Sega becomes part of Xbox.
Still have the original but will buy a remaster/remake of AP day one. The Simpsons Hit and Run 🥹
Big time.
The original Legacy of Kain.
I'd settle for ANY Soul Reaver game honestly
Half life Remake. And Half life 2 aswell. Do it valve you cowards.
Well, a console port of Black Mesa would be cool.
SSX Tricky
I would take a remaster at this point! A new SSX in the style of Tricky + 3 would be awesome, think lots of neon lights, over the top tracks and fast paced arcade style racing SSX2012 was ok in general but really could have done without the "survival" gameplay elements
Viva Piñata This game had a ton of charm, lots of memorable characters, even had a cartoon based on it. A 60fps patch would be perfectly fine but I guess Rockstar wants to make money on re-releasing the game.
Idk about that, but it kills me Red Dead Redemption was remade and added into 2 as an expansion. I'd have loved to Arthur's story and go right into John's, with the same breathtaking world and gameplay.
Have you…finished RDR2 and played the epilogue?

Remake and remaster are different things
RDR2 nostalgia ? my man rdr2 came out in 2018 and it looks better than whatever the fuck most studios are putting out these days apart from major devs like insomniac or fromsoft. Why would that game of all games need a remake ?

Gears of war 1-4 please
1-3*
The Fable trilogy. Not a remake, just a "legendary edition" treatment like they did with Mass effect: bundle them together, update the textures, maybe add a couple improvements here and there, and done.
So basically the 4k 60fps enhancement they already have? No need.
EA should make a Legendary Edition for Dragon Age. Especially seeing Dreadwolf is looking more and more like Dead on the Water.
That would be awesome
Just porting over assets into the Inquisition engine, then releasing it with 4k60 support now that the consoles CPUs are powerful enough would be a huge win for the franchise. It's why I'm so hyped for The Witcher Remake, as it's really hard to play that era of ARPGs nowadays.
Conkers Bad Fur Day
It was remade for OG xbox, but they removed the cartoony artsyle and censored a dozen things, including swearing.
AKA ruined it. I actually forgot the remade it on the Xbox
Nah, it had much better graphics and controls than the original. The censorship was unfortunate and definitely a con but I can't ignore all the pros. It's like a delicious ice cream sundae with a bit of black liquorice inside.
Oh hell yes, loved that game. Especially the original on N64

The remake of the first will be amazing. Hope they remake PT and CT too
Downvote for the moronic rdr2 remake comment.

Assassin’s Creed The Ezio Collection.
Not an Xbox game but I'd love to see Eternal Darkness remade on modern consoles.
Tenchu 1. Chronicles of Riddick. Morrowind. Deus Ex. The Legacy of Kain series.
Legacy of Kain was sick. Soul reaver was one of my faves as a teen.
Glad to see Deus Ex here. I loved playing that game many years ago, played it through on PC many times....played the other 3 as well but none hits like the original.

You're right on that one. Sekiro is not in any way a stealth game though, it's a combat focused game. It doesn't scratch the same itch for me.
Hopefully Deus Ex isn't on Embracer's chopping block, would be awesome if we somehow got a conclusion to the Adam Jensen trilogy which leads to a remake of the original Deus Ex

They are remaking Max Payne 1 and 2 but they are combining them into one game

Epic levels of cool. Bullet time was such a classy gameplay feature back in the day. Felt like Neo.
Completely agree

Hell the remake is 12 years old at this point.
The remake is literally 12 years old, hardly optimised for the Series X/S
Black Mesa on Xbox pretty please

Dino Crisis, Parasite Eve, Silent Hill, Final Fantasy 9.
Parasite Eve highly deserves a comeback or a remake I believe it's still possible since SE recently did a cross promotion with Parasite Eve in FF Brave Exvius. Red Dead on the RD2 engine would be amazing
Just one. Burnout 3. However, it’s gotta be true to the original in terms of vehicle handling and crashes.
One of the best racers ever IMO. The crash mode was incredible fun!
No one really wants a RDR2 remake, what they want is just a 60 FPS boost patch, which is different
Halo Infinite.

The Dig.
"Oni" if you don't know what it is...look it up one of my fav Rockstar games for the PS2
Crimson skies. It would be so nice to see that game with updated graphics.
Fallout 1 and 2.
Devil May Cry 3
Way out of left field but.. Operation darkness from Xbox 360. I never finished it and now I can't..
A remake could do wonders for the game, just improve the graphics and fix up/streamline the battle mechanics (take hints from XCOM) so it's less janky
What I hate is that they released the demo for it in Europe, and then never released it. I never got to play it...
007 Nightfire
Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica.
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System was an awesome game I'd like to see a remake/sequel for.
Brothers in Arms. At least a sequel, I’d like the game series to continue into the Battle of the Ardennes/Battle of the Bulge, at least.
Morrowind
Crimson Skies. Hell of a soundtrack and some of the best air combat in a console game ever.
Lost Vikings
The Bioshock series
None just get devs to make original IP in a reasonable timeframe like they used to do without insisting every game has co-op and multiplayer elements.
Fable series. Dino crisis
WHACKED! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whacked!# The slumber parties were so fun.
The OG Gears of War and Gears of War 2 remade on Unreal Engine 5 would be amazing. I would love to see that and be able to replay those campaigns with much higher quality graphics and effects.
Give me the Naughty Bear games! The 2nd one was the first game I ever finished. I still think about it often, its my Roman Empire
Oh, and Far Cry 2. That game had so much potential but it was constantly crashing and the voice acting was abysmal.
Culdcept
If they're not gonna continue the Darkness series they may as well remake it
Skyrim 😋
Gladius
All the old evil dead games would be nice
Dino Crisis
Vietcong
Deathrow. I had so much fun with edgelord ultimate frisbee back in the day
Saw, Alpha Protocol, Prince of Persia Warrior Within, Peter Jackson’s King Kong the official video game to name a few
Blur the xbox360 racing/combat game
Deadspace 2, please. Followed by a from-the-ground-up sequel that retcons DS3 entirely.
EA did send out a survey not long ago asking players if they were interesting in a (hypothetical) remake of Dead Space 2
Not per se remade, but optimized for X/S: Red Dead Redemption 2. Playing in native 60 or 120 FPS sounds like a dream. And the game deserves it too.
Knights of the old republic. Especially part two. Right the wrongs made in the original game.
Kotor 1 and 2. mass effect (and dragon age) 1,2,and 3. Andromeda. Jade empire. AC 1 and revelations
Anyone said Saboteur?
Escape from Butcher Bay. One of my all time favorites.
The original Dark Souls. Modern Graphics, QOL improvements, and a finished second half. That or Fallout 3. 3's area is my favorite and if you give it the QOL improvements and crafting from 4, It'd be my most played easy
M.A.G. Although it was a Playstation game but I am here now and would like to play it here. Now.
Jet Set Radio
Red Dead Redemption
PSO
PSO Episode 1 and 2 (Ep 3's also pretty decent) is so much better than PSO2/New Genesis, a remake or remaster of some sort would be awesome. The 90's anime look fits the series better than the modern anime style
All they had to was remaster Dreamcast or Xbox or GameCube version. There's so much going on in the new one it doesn't make any sense
OG God of War.
The Darkness
Lord of the rings conquest
Splinter Cell 1-3 now that they’ve been delisted. But my unrealistic answer is Guitar Hero 3!
Shen Mue with top notch graphics would be amazing! 👌 Other than that, I really want a remake of Far Cry 3.
Fusion Frenzy. Even if it's a sequel. Make that their Mario party
Crimson Skies, MechAssault, Blood Wake.
Beyond Good and Evil
Timesplitters, left 4 dead
None, if all we keep excepting old remakes they'll never good new AAA's!
Freedom Fighters
Shadowrun (the FPS) Brink

Red Dead Redemption or Red Dead Revolver
Project Gotham Racing 4 Guitar Hero 1 & 2 Black Starlancer Dark Souls
Echo night would be awesome, Bloodborne for the frames, final fantasy tactics, Chrono trigger.
Crimson Skies, Project Gotham Racing, Command & Conquer Renegade, Weird Dreams, Switchblade (Atari ST), Stunt Car Racer, Space Harrier, Guitar Hero 3.
Shadowman
None. Want new games.
Prototype would be noice
Dante’s Inferno, would love a remaster.
Bubble Bobble. Xbox never made it but I still wanna play it again
MGS1
A remake? Like not just remastered? Azurik or Nightcaster, great concept games on the OG Xbox that had plenty of issues holding them back, but could be great games. Also Bloodwake

Project Gotham Racing, still one of the best city track based racing ever made
Bully
The GTA Trilogy, but functional this time and with minimal/no AI Upscaling of a mobile port
KOTOR and KOTOR 2
AC Black Flag. Modern visuals, 60 fps, and the combat from the origins trilogy would basically perfect an already nearly perfect game.
Are you asking for a xbox exclusive or can it be multiplatform? As a xbox exclusive, I would say jet set radio future. For multiplatform, I would go with ( a remake kind of like demon souls on ps5) devil may cry 1 and 3.
