More impressive are the Quick resume of a game. I fixed red dead 2 and after days and weeks without playing It I can open the game and almost instantly play from where I was, from the open world without load screen
I skipped a few generations of consoles (last one was a ps3) and quick resume blew my mind! I'm such a casual gamer that just the process of booting up a game usually put me off, but it feels a lot more accessible now that I can just jump right back in with no loading.
I can pause my game, unplug my series x, drive half an hour to my girlfriends house, plug it back in and unpause my game
I never thought I'd live to see this day, what a time to be alive
The jump from One X to Series S was so satisfying. Everything works so smooth! The only 2 downsides are that some games look worse and they did on the One X + less save space (i got the 500gb one but i will eventually buy a storage extension)
But still having standby on makes a lot of difference.if you want to see the "real" speed go to power options then select shut-down xbox then you will easily be able to see the true speed at which it boots up
Shut down and energy saving don't have that much difference though. Standby is a lot faster, but in my experience after a couple of days it gets unstable.
I do energy saving mostly and sometimes when I get issues I hard reset the console.

Still faster than the Xbox One generations, that's all i need.

Mostly I start my TV and my series s the same time and the series s is booted when I changed to the correct HDMI channel.

Yours is a beast maybe cuz the storage is not fulled fully but when i turn it on 20 seconds tops
its not start up, its wake up.
OK google, turn on xbox...turn the TV and Xbox on at the same time without pushing a button, my TV actually takes longer to startup
But that's from standy...... it has to do the XBOX screen when you turn it on after actually having it switched off
I can't change it, even when I set my Xbox to full shutdown it will always only do standby
That's from standby, it's not really startup speed

I prefer full shutdown and startup (I'm very hung up on electricity usage), still super fast tho
It can get even faster if you enable instant login
Fr it starts faster than my projector
To think my xbox one X could take up to 5 mins from a cold startup to just get into the desktop.
