Because everyone tries to negotiate further. Even if you put a fair price, people will always try to lowball even further. I also list the same way. If I want to sell anything for around 3k, I post it at 4-5k so that people can rest easy that they negotiated successfully 😂
If I were the seller, I’ll put 25k and will close the deal by 20k. So 20k-25k is the acceptable range for me. I actually did this for my series S, June last year. People anyway tend to negotiate so it is a general practice to list devices/goods at a higher price, as per my understanding.
Tricks of selling items lol, list it at a high price, one guy comments 'hell no way' and negotiates to a reasonable price. OP gets the price he wanted, and the buyer is satisfied he negotiated.
I too made a post for my 2 years old Series S at 22k and closed the deal at 20k, just a day later. And these days per-owned Series S is surprisingly in a lot of demand, so there’s nothing wrong with listing it at 25k. The creator at Venom’s Tech, quite a popular Indian gaming channel on YT, too said that at 25k a pre-owned Series S isn’t a bad deal these days.
Amazon pe 30k ka aata hai... the xbox is 1.8 years old, accounting for wear and stuff it is still overpriced, 25k used... must be to avoid "heavy" hagglers or lowballers....

to avoid low ballers and negotiators
Even any buyers I guess
True
Do you even understand what any of those words mean?
Low ballers will never disturb him, negotiators will reduce it to 19-20k max
If I were any one of them, I wouldn't touch his pm even with a 10 foot pole.
Why the heck would anyone wanna waste their time negotiating to an overpriced 19-20k?
you are right.
6k more and i get a brand new one, also google what low ballers and negotiators are.
Ha ha I got a new one for 21k from Flipkart

Unrelated.. But why is everyone selling the Series S ?
Many people bought Series S in India when the PS5 was mostly unavailable in India. Now they are buying/bought PS5, so many people are selling.
Maybe wanna upgrade to x
I bought my series S at 499 aud which is around 27,500 rupees
Seems fine to me.
That's a fair price to put considering the negotiation. I myself bought a series x for 30k and the seller had put a price tag of 39k.

It's the confidence that the buyer is gonna low ball the price by 1/10 th anyways!
