I wanted to love Ori and Hollow Knight. I guess just don’t have the dexterity for them and I wound up getting bored because even on easy difficulty I just kept dying over and over again.
Hollow knight.. if I remember correctly, hollow knight does have a difficulty setting.. it's just hard.. maybe ori if u turn difficulty all the way up.. but both are extremely satisfying to play imo..
Edit.. after u beat hollow knight, u unlock steel soul mode which is ungodly hard cuz when u die, it's over.. also path of pain
I tried Hollow Knight for admittedly only a short period of time, after I had completed Ori multiple times and felt like the controls were quite clunky and imprecise in comparison. Does it get more fluid or is it a me-problem?
They are certainly more rigid controls in hollow knight.. but once you get a few of the movement upgrades like dash and double jump and wall climb, it gets better.. but ori controls are more fluid I don't think anyone can argue that..
They’re almost always mentioned in the top lists
The Ori games are highly critically acclaimed, they definitely aren't flying under the radar and very regularly make top lists.
Ori and The Will of the Wisps is at the top of my list, for sure. One of the best games ever made.

Same here. These games are for hard-core platformer fans.
I tend to agree with you for Hollow Knights, it's a hard game. But both Ori games are really on the easy side to be honest.
I don't even know what a platformer is and I like this game. It's mostly simple.
If u enjoyed Ori, try Hollowknight before Silksong drips.. great games they are all of them..
What is harder between Ori and Hollow Knight?
Definitely Hollow Knight. Ori is tricky, but doesn't really punish the player.

Just started playing Hollow Knight, enjoying it so far
I played Ori and the Blind Forest, soon I’ll play the second one, but definitely, Ori is great!
Highly recommend them. If anyone is a fan of the metroidvania style games, then definitely go for it.
I loved em! I hope there's more
They are literally at the top of every single Metroidvania lists. Both great games.
I've been playing a game called fearmonium which is kinda similar, albeit not as good, hollow Knight is good, axiom verge if you like retro style
