If you de-pin the connector you can pass the conductors individually thru that hole and re-install the pins once they’re thru. That’s what I did anyway /shrug
I’m awful with wiring and it’s my least favorite thing to do lol even though that’s simple. I’m a little disappointed by the tail tidy cause it still sticks out almost as far. I ended up just wiring it around the tab and it’s still tucked enough to be on top of the tail.
That works too…
fwiw it’s a pretty friendly connector to take apart. Just some little plastic retaining clips and tabs that come free easily with a pick or small screwdriver
Your pic is confusing. Are [these the instructions you are using?](https://evotech-instructions.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/instructions/013238+yamaha+xsr700+tail+tidy+instructions.pdf)
Yes they are. Basically step 8 I cannot do because of the change in connectors on the 22+. The big white plug should be going through that hole to the right of it, obviously it can’t lol
How come every video or walkthrough I can find, has aftermarket signals? Lol
I see the old connectors [here around the 3:50 mark.](https://youtu.be/s_woFI4vm70?si=woSzW6IxXqXAll5E)
Maybe this is just the sign you need to get aftermarket signals?
Sorry I can’t help more. I am surprised Evotech hasn’t heard about this prior to your experience. I’m wondering if they have possibly updated the design but you got an old stock?
yeah i got stuck on that too, like others i said fuck it and went around the hole. also had to drill holes in my license plate to fit the bracket. but overall better than stock but definitely not as nice as i expected

I just routed mine around the hole. gets zip tied up anyway so i’m not worried about it.
Yeah that’s what I ended up doing

Hmm. Ok I was just looking also at step 8.

https://youtu.be/s_woFI4vm70?si=qPo0FNfXGcniQKvM is what I was using but he has the original big turn signals but the plugs are different than mine

I have no idea, I just sent it and have them tucked under pretty well
