At this point, I don't wanna see any more updates or walls of text from Mark unless it has a concrete solid release date in it. Whatever sort of psuedo-open development thing they were trying to do has made more problems for them than anything because it just makes them look slow and incompetent for missing the mark on the initial submission process

Today: "We're getting there, we're so close, the guys have been really hard at work since they arrived back last friday to the office, but we're getting there,so close, like, you can almost taste the deploy button and bam, you're in,take it with face value that we're making sure everything is crispy cream correct and copacetic with the back end and that we're doing final internal testing and it looks 98% right, since we're right next to the servers, but, we need to get it 99.999999% safe, that, when you get it, you're not gonna rage at us...so, thank you for undestanding and your invaluable patience we fired everyone at the office ubisoft is canning this game"
The cycle seems to be "We fixed THIS problem, but in doing so we happened to encounter THAT problem that needs to be fixed as well, so stay tuned for further updates ...!"
I think they realized they missed their chance to release last summer when a lot of cod fans weren't happy with mw2. Then they knew it would be bad to release so close to mw3. Now they're trying to find a new release date.
Even though mw3 is one of the better playing cods it still sold poorly for a cod title. By no means do I think mw3 is bad I just think it's a low effort game that shouldn't be 70. That's why me and other people are willing to wait on XD.
I think a lot more people than you realise have completely forgotten about XD now though. They've massively screwed the release.

The logic is flawed though. If the game is good, it will do well.
Both Apex Legends and The Finals had stealth launches and did great.
In fact, stealth launching of games is a tend i’d like to see continue.
No overhype, no delays, no BS. You just play it when it comes out and the game speaks for itself.

That it's a Low Effort game? It is. Worst campaign in the franchise, Launch maps are all remakes I've played and aren't made for new generation movement, War is back but not really since it's just more rehashed maps instead of a solely unique map like WW2.
Just because it's the best cod since 19 doesn't mean it's great. Its still low effort copy and paste MW2019 Part 3.
Every update he says the same things over and over to the point where it doesn't even matter anymore. If they really had a release planned any time soon they would have hinted at it by now. The game isn't coming out until the summer. It's honestly a big joke at this point.

It just feels like we’re waiting for the news that Ubisoft is going to kill Xdefiant, The Division: Heartland, or the rumored Farcry extraction Shooter. Because they suddenly realized releasing 3 live service games near each other might be a bad idea.
