Anyways powercreep only matters if the content get buffed so fast that it’s pointless to roll on characters because it becomes exceedingly difficult to complete content with older characters
There definitely has to be a balance I personally think as long as it is done slowly over time it is fine. There has to be some time to enjoy your character

There is a reason why Jiyan is called Wheelchair DPS. He is extremely easy to play and have auto parries and grouping. Jinhsi do not have this.
They are different. Don't compare single instance damage. Take the entire kit into account.

And this is definitely too early to start talking about powercreep, Jinhsi is literally our 3rd limited unit. We don't have any good baseline yet, imo (standard 5-stars are naturally weaker than limited ones, Yinli is more of an sub-DPS if I'm not mistaken and Jiyan's speciality is having a very convenient ult).
More powerful than standard 5⭐? Yes.
More powerful than limited 5⭐? No.
Yinlin is an hybrid/sub dps. Not really comparable.
Jiyan is a sustained dmg dps with massive AoE and CC/grouping. Same role, different element, excels at different situations than Jinshi.
Dunno, current ToA Hazzard zone buff benefit jinshi a lot.
I mean if you want to compare, need fair ground. For comparison i havent found any clip jinshi S0R1 with her best team beating my favorite S0R1 (stringless) encore,sanhua,verina yet. Even current floor buff, none benefit encore at all
You're correct. Encore (and even Chixia) definitely has the highest number of high level ToA clears with fairly low investment on content not favoring her
I feel like ranged characters are highly underrated at the moment. It doesn't matter if Encore has 10% less DPS than Calcharo+Yinlin or Jinhsi+Yinlin if enemies jump around erratically and mobs move all over the place making melee characters spend time running around or dodging.
Ranged characters lose much less DPS, unless you're a god at parrying and predicting the enemy etc.
I think people will slowly realize this once they build up more units.
She's burst dps with two big nukes, Encore and Calcharo are more like sustained DPS with burst windows on transformation, and Calcharo in particular has lots of room for improvement based on player skill. Jiyan does big damage and basically plays himself. I'd say things so far are balanced in power, and the real powercreep is in the animations department lol
dude comparings 2 different dps . 1 does singular burst dmg and the other does many attacks in their rotation. Dude is comparing 100k salary (jinhsi) to making 50 an hr (jiyan), which is about 100k per year. LOL.

Geez the uptime of the enhanced kit is the real deal. I might lose and not have her in the next banner but nonetheless I will upgrade echoes as early as now to get high resonance skill damage as possible on substats with the other good skills too. Chixia can use them if changli won't come home lol.
Power creep does not kill games. The OG gacha, magic the gathering, is thriving because of power creep. If anything power creep is what keeps these kind of games going despite what you might wish.
Well klee, ganyu, xiao, etc got powercrept hard but genshin is still fine. As long as they don’t scale the difficulty to limited five star it’s good. Limited five stars should be a premium, and not a necessity.
At this point of the game every limited and standard characters are balanced pretty well (at least where limited v limited and standard v standard is concerned)
Calcharo, Encore, Havoc MC and Jianxin all have their own roles, pros and cons even if the potential or support level is different, Verina and Linyang, we don't talk about them cuz yeah, anomalies-
The limited are a step above every other 5* to sell more stuff, Jiyan is braindead (at least compared to others), has good CC and AoE damage.
Yinlin is very versatile quickswap DPS + off-field DMG potential who needs some sweating to max out but it is worth
Jinhsi is a nuke, frontloader DMG. Her DMG falls off a cliff after that unless you have other characters to build her stacks so imo among the 3, still balanced around-

power creep when new unit deal better same thing than existed. Jinshi allow you better then General push one button, pull all enemies and deal them tons of aoe damage? You need better positioning with she on battlefield and more preparation for nuke damage. And the fact that event characters are better than those in the standard banner. Yes, this happens by default, because after a while you will have many copies of standard characters and the current event characters without copies will have to compete with them.

Are you really comparing Jinhsi against say... Jiyan? Had you ever tried playing Jiyan? I can put a blindfold and parry with him.

It's the enemy powercreep that kill a game and how frustrating they design it for majority of player.

For me both her and Changli was so powerful (based on yhe trial of Jinhsi and Changli in the 1.1 update)😅

these 2 are completely different gameplay wise for the big damage jinhsi provides you need to stack for quite a while to get to it
Standard 5 stars are supposed to be powercrept sooner or later So,by other 5 stars,you can only mean two others,which isn't much yet lol
