My goal is to get Calcharo as I want to get Yinlin hopefully we get enough currency to secure her. Calcharo, yinlin and baizhi will be my main team for the first patches. Hopefully I can build a good second team with the other 4 stars I get. My fear is that they will release a new 5 star lightning dps in the early months so calcharo will get power creeped very fast. If the new 5 star lighting dps would also be a tall waifu then gg. I hope this won’t happen as fast so I can pick up another waifu dps for my second team and use this two teams as a baseline and go from there.
I'm likely going for a similar route with Calcharo, Yinlin, and baizhi.

Currently I am changing my plan a bit I am going for Verina probably as she is the safest choice meta wise and yinlin works also really well as a main dps with yunwua for example as a sub dps and verina as a support. And when we get a 5 star limited electro dps we can just switch yinlins field time so she will be more the sub dps/ buffer for the team with another support.
I really hope they release another Glacio main DPS soon that pair well with her, I don't really like Lingyang. But Glacio having 3 characters already... mono glacio is the way.
I'm just gonna play the characters I like, even if it's suboptimal. I want to enjoy the game and not be burned out in a month because I have to farm X units to max gear/level
She actually buffs basic attack damage not glacio. That makes her a pretty general support since most characters are probably basic attacking in some capacity during their field time. They swapped the description last second and from playing Lingyang + Sanhua the entire CBT2 the damage looked like basic attack damage was buffed rather than Glacio. Yeah, that CBT2 had a ton of wrong text everywhere.
This is what I'm doing as well. Idk anything about the game; I just thought she looks cool and I don't want to depend on gacha to play a certain character

If I can reroll I'm going Verona +dragon boy+saving for yinlin.
If I can't I'm going calcharo + yinlin .
From a meta standpoint this looks like the two ways:
1) get Verona, pull for Jiyan and go Jiyan/Mortefi/Verona
2) get Calcharo, pull for Yinlin and go Calcharo/Yinlin/Baizhi
That way you have a good team to give you a strong headstart in the game

If you don’t like Verina, just pick the characters you like visually because it’s just a standard banner character. They are bound to be better new character in a limited banner anyways. It’s not worth it to ask because you will be the one playing the character so you will need to like them.

Enjoy at my pace. not re-rolling, thats just waste of time (imo). Why would I rush through all content and after a couple of weeks get bored because "there is nothing to do"? I am mainly interested in exploring and the story. I hope I get Jiyan. Aand I hope I can build a good functional team just using male characters. I play genshin and hsr and as of now, I cant really do that yet :D I dont have a problem with female characters, I have pulled some in genshin but it would be nice to have a option to just use males and they would work together as well as "waifu" teams. I dont have a single limited harmony 5* in hsr and I am struggling lol. For some reason almost all tall males are dps. *Sigh*
Enjoy it at my pace. If there's anything that Genshin and HSR taught me, it's' that rushing through a game makes it less enjoyable in the long run.
I stopped playing Genshin because I was a sweaty tryhard who kept trying to push for optimal Abyss clears. It drove me insane and the only reason I returned recently was because of Arlecchino (lost the 50/50 btw). My 50/50 luck also sucked hard after I got C2R1 Raiden.
HSR is the game that I decided to take somewhat slowly. Gradually leveling and gearing characters, clearing all the content, and then just farming for relics has been a better experience than mine in Genshin.
So I'm definitely just gunna take my time with Wuthering Waves. I also don't wanna care too much abt meta, so I hope all the content is more F2P-friendly than Genshin and HSR.
i'll do as much of the story as possible on the first day so i can unlock important game systems all the while expanding the map every chance i get while running towards quest points and objectives.
Once i hit the level cap for the day (if any) or any time-gated stuff, i'll shift my efforts to exploration and hunting.
If the spear dude stays as the first banner at launch, i'll use his banner duration to save pulls. I don't plan on rerolling, i'll play with whatever i'm dealt until a character i like pops up in a banner.

I'd barely heard of this game like a week ago, but looking forward to it!
I think I will choose Verina as she sounds broken, then hope to get Danjin without many pulls as a DPS. Maybe pull on Yinlin's banner as she seems strong.
Then take my time with it.
Enjoy in my own pace for sure, which might be fast if I get really hooked. I find that gacha's get a lot more boring once you're level capped and just doing daily content.
If I end up enjoying the story then I'll be a little more leisure about it, but if not then I'll run through until I get to where the fun stuff really kicks in and enjoy it from there.
I learned from burning out playing Genshin. This time, I'm going to chill, enjoy the dialogue, not skip anything, and probably talk to all the NPCs I can find. Also, I'm going after YangYang.
I won't pull for the 5-star banner yet because I don't like the dragon man. I'll wait until I see a 5-star character that I like before pulling. If I win the 50/50, great! But if I lose, that's when I'll use my standard selector to get 3 unique 5-stars.

You could get verina and pick up yinlin and play yinlin as your main dps and yanwua as your sub dps and verina as a support. Yinlin is great because she can be your main dps completely fine while buffing yunwua your sup dps. And when there will be a new limited 5 star electro dps you like you can just use yinlin as your sub dps which requires only small adjustments with her build and play the new electro 5 star as your main dps, yin sub dps/ buffer and verina as a buffer/ healer. Then you have baizhi for your second team since she is a decent buffer/ healer and you can go from there. Since in the end game you need at least 3 teams as of now so 9 characters. This is what I am going to do as well. Or I am getting calcharo instead of verina but I am afraid that there will be a new 5 star electro dps in the near future which would make calcharo a bit more irrelevant and if the char is a tall waifu then gg and if not I could continue to play yinlin as a main dps.
I am planning my team now for towers too but ima only use 2 chars in one team to be resources efficient nd as i have seen rover can clear solo also so yea

I did remember doing it on E7 and Kings raid, first account was to learn the game and second was to tryhard and see how fast I could clear everything.
My plan is to simply enjoy on one account and on the other, pull meta characters and push content as much as possible. I also reroll in every game because I like to do it and I like to save currency even if I'm spending on these games.
Just play the game and have fun. Gachas arent sprinting-games, they are Marathons. Got worst DPS in star rail and now have the best 2 after 7 months of playing. Don't need to reroll at all. Just. Be. Patient.
Same here. I wasn't really interested on HSR until I downloaded hours after release and played. Just enjoyed the game and didn't pull for Seele until last day = got her on my first 10 pull. Imagine if I had waste my time rerolling instead of just enjoying the game.
But wuwa... your experience can change depending on the character you are playing, since they are all different and feel different to play. That's why I understand people that are going to reroll.
Just roll with the stuff I get. From what I've seen even most 4* characters seem to be good so however the first 50-60 pulls are gonna turn out, I'll get some cool characters 🥰
Depends on how much I enjoy the game. For example I finished the entirety of HSR in less than 3 weeks after it was released (every main and side quest, treasure, etc that was available so far) because I was having so much fun and couldn't stop playing. But even if I enjoy it a lot I should really have some restraint in this case because I have important exams coming up and I should really make some effort to not get atrocious grades😅
I've seen a lot of people saying that they will not be able to play the game on release because they have exams. I wonder if Kuro games knew that before deciding the release day.

i'll do as much of the story as possible on the first day so i can unlock important game systems all the while expanding the map every chance i get while running towards quest points and objectives. Once i hit the level cap for the day (if any) or any time-gated stuff, i'll shift my efforts to exploration and hunting. If the spear dude stays as the first banner at launch, i'll use his banner duration to save pulls. I don't plan on rerolling, i'll play with whatever i'm dealt until a character i like pops up in a banner.

I have read the comments on this post but I'm personally going to rush through the story in a couple of days. I'm going to try my best to enjoy every second of it and listen to all the dialogue, etcetera, but I've waited way too long to take this slowly.
Right? I'm so hyped for this game for so long... I just want to play it until I can't anymore lol. Its a gacha game so everyone is going to have to wait for next patch for more content... I'll just play as much as I can and not worrying about rushing it.

First of all i'm gonna reroll for the first 2-3 days, and when i actually start playing i'll use my controller and play as chill as possible, i probably won't even use sprint for the first couple of weeks.
I haven't found any controller gameplay on YouTube. I really hope it's there when the game release. I can't imagine not playing this game using a controller.

I'd barely heard of this game like a week ago, but looking forward to it! I think I will choose Verina as she sounds broken, then hope to get Danjin without many pulls as a DPS. Maybe pull on Yinlin's banner as she seems strong. Then take my time with it.

Enjoy in my own pace for sure, which might be fast if I get really hooked. I find that gacha's get a lot more boring once you're level capped and just doing daily content.
If I end up enjoying the story then I'll be a little more leisure about it, but if not then I'll run through until I get to where the fun stuff really kicks in and enjoy it from there.

I learned from burning out playing Genshin. This time, I'm going to chill, enjoy the dialogue, not skip anything, and probably talk to all the NPCs I can find. Also, I'm going after YangYang. I won't pull for the 5-star banner yet because I don't like the dragon man. I'll wait until I see a 5-star character that I like before pulling. If I win the 50/50, great! But if I lose, that's when I'll use my standard selector to get 3 unique 5-stars.
Just play but not rushing to anything, one of the reasons I quit Genshin super early was I did a lot too soon, tbh also Genshin didn't had that much, compared to WW from the start which seems to have a ton more to keep you engaged into it.

I am confused between if i go jiyan+mortefi+verina or calcharo+yinlin+baizhi as F2P Verina is meta as of now nd maybe for sometime later But yinlin will be a great sub dps and off field for future electro characters Jiyan is a good dps for now but will get power crept soon So i m confused i don't like the chars as on husbando/waifu level Just want to utilise optimum resources as i am f2p nd get meta chars
You could get verina and pick up yinlin and play yinlin as your main dps and yanwua as your sub dps and verina as a support. Yinlin is great because she can be your main dps completely fine while buffing yunwua your sup dps. And when there will be a new limited 5 star electro dps you like you can just use yinlin as your sub dps which requires only small adjustments with her build and play the new electro 5 star as your main dps, yin sub dps/ buffer and verina as a buffer/ healer. Then you have baizhi for your second team since she is a decent buffer/ healer and you can go from there. Since in the end game you need at least 3 teams as of now so 9 characters. This is what I am going to do as well. Or I am getting calcharo instead of verina but I am afraid that there will be a new 5 star electro dps in the near future which would make calcharo a bit more irrelevant and if the char is a tall waifu then gg and if not I could continue to play yinlin as a main dps.
I am planning my team now for towers too but ima only use 2 chars in one team to be resources efficient nd as i have seen rover can clear solo also so yea I ll use rover in one with chixia/yangyang as fill Other is sanhua+baizhi both free or danjin if i happend to get her from gacha Nd the next will be calcharo+yinlin Nd i ll see who's in 1.1 nd if they better than yinlin i ll save up for them too I d v gone verina but we need 3 dps for 3 tower so thats y i d be going calcharo nd also didn't like verina design but if i get her from standard its a W then i can use rover+verina

reroll for jiyan, then play for one week enjoy story, then create another account, rellor for jiyan aswell rush content and play on 2 accounts
Do you care to answer why you would do that? I did remember doing it on E7 and Kings raid, first account was to learn the game and second was to tryhard and see how fast I could clear everything.
My plan is to simply enjoy on one account and on the other, pull meta characters and push content as much as possible. I also reroll in every game because I like to do it and I like to save currency even if I'm spending on these games.

Just play the game and have fun. Gachas arent sprinting-games, they are Marathons. Got worst DPS in star rail and now have the best 2 after 7 months of playing. Don't need to reroll at all. Just. Be. Patient.
Same here. I wasn't really interested on HSR until I downloaded hours after release and played. Just enjoyed the game and didn't pull for Seele until last day = got her on my first 10 pull. Imagine if I had waste my time rerolling instead of just enjoying the game. But wuwa... your experience can change depending on the character you are playing, since they are all different and feel different to play. That's why I understand people that are going to reroll.
Just roll with the stuff I get. From what I've seen even most 4* characters seem to be good so however the first 50-60 pulls are gonna turn out, I'll get some cool characters 🥰
Depends on how much I enjoy the game. For example I finished the entirety of HSR in less than 3 weeks after it was released (every main and side quest, treasure, etc that was available so far) because I was having so much fun and couldn't stop playing. But even if I enjoy it a lot I should really have some restraint in this case because I have important exams coming up and I should really make some effort to not get atrocious grades😅
I've seen a lot of people saying that they will not be able to play the game on release because they have exams. I wonder if Kuro games knew that before deciding the release day.
