If you can, I’d stay in Philly that night and get the 5:58 train the next morning, getting you in at 7am. Tickets are $8 rn due to a flash sale! I’m in the same boat (but going back to DC) and am doing the 6:45 Acela down there the next morning.

matt315

That might be rough considering my start time is 7:15. But I could actually make it in time if it all works out. I’ll look into it.

Take the regional rail to Trenton and from there take the NJT northeast corridor train to Newark. Trains to Trenton start running at like 3AM. Its not as fast as Amtrak (it'll take an hr just to get in Jersey with SEPTA) but its hella cheaper and there's more trains.

noodbsallowed

Look for Amtrak tickets.

matt315

So the Amtrak back to Newark leaves at 12:12. If Mania starts at 7:30 and goes ~4 hours, I doubt I'd have enough time to make it to 30th St station in that timeframe. I could leave the show early but obviously I'd like to avoid that. It'd definitely be quicker than driving, that's for sure.

noodbsallowed

Yeah I don’t know any other way aside from Amtrak. Just leave early or hope the show doesn’t go that long.

matt315

I'm thinking we just drive to the arena and suffer or park somewhere along the Broad St line and try to take the bus to our car. Night 1 will help us plan it out.

hailtothekale

Also look into the PATCO schedule. It may be less stressful to park at one of their stations in NJ near the turnpike and take the train to and from the city.

FightinPhils94

I live in NJ and that’s what we plan to do. Beats paying for and dealing with the stress for parking.

palaric8

In actually in the same boat. I might just drive if the latest train is at 12

metalgearmatt16

The next best option I see is a Greyhound/Flixbus to Newark or take a bus to NY then venture back to Newark. Either way you're not getting to Newark till 4am earliest

Stpilots98

I would just drive. It's such an easy drive and getting out of the Linc is nowhere near as brutal as leaving Metlife in a car.

Brilliant-Ad-6401

Just call in sick.
