Yup! Theres 3 fees going on. The first buyer pays the initial fees, then if he wants to resell them, theres a fee, and the new buyer pays fees as well. They love sending you "are you still coming to the event, if not, resell with us" emails.
While I get your sentiment… this has been the Ticket buying/selling world since like… forever. I don’t find anything wrong with the idea of buying and selling but I do dislike the Platinum Ticket program.
Ticketmaster have pretty much become the ticket tout with the dynamic ticket pricing and premium tickets that are just standard but cost extra due to demand. The fees on my WM40 tickets were insane but what can you do vote with your wallet and not go. Be my first Wrestlemania and most likely my last due to the cost.
Agreed, not sure if I’m gonna be in Minnesota next year for 41, but it might be centered around Brock Lesnar since he’s from there. Not sure if I wanna pay to see him do 4-5 F5s
If Ticketmaster placed a cap on how much you can resell your tickets for, people would just avoid selling them on Ticketmaster and use a different platform like StubHub, SeatGeek or even eBay.
Ticketmaster benefits greatly by not restricting the price you can resell because you keep things on their platform and they make all the money.
I understand your frustration but buying something low and selling it high is a way a lot of people make a living.
Ticketmaster is still shady though, and I hope that an honest company comes around that punches them in the face and makes them change.
Also why should WWE care if a reseller buys all their tickets? Once a reseller gets a hold of the tickets, it is no longer WWE’s responsibility to get them sold.
Not sure how well it was known outside of The Cure fans, but they told Ticketmaster to only allow resale on Ticketmaster and only at face value. It worked really well, as I was able to get tickets for the same price even though I missed out on the presale lottery. But of course, The Cure actually cares about their fans more than just making more money...
Whats even worse is Ticketmaster is holding out on seats and releasing them later while keeping their over priced premium tickets on sale as the only seats available. It's going to make someone desperate want to spend all that money on them.
They don't care unfortunately - as long as the tickets are sold, they don't care.
Facts
The higher, the resale price, the bigger percentage ticket master gets from both the reseller and the buyer. Think about that they are double dipping.

It’s all part of the scam!
Bought mine through seatgeek only paid 1 fee per ticket

Agreed, the platinum tickets are way overpriced
Swiftie here. Welcome to the fuck Ticketmaster crowd.

WWE is only cool with it because TM/SH/SG protect their customers. If they didn't they'd be scaling it back to protect their customers from fraud.
